“So I threatened him. I told him that if he didn’t sleep, I’ll do that to him.”

“What? What? What are you going to do to him?” Aunt Su loved his son dearly and twisted Xing Biao’s ears and dragged him into the kitchen. “Stay here and learn how to cook. Don’t starve my son.”

The victim couldn’t bear it anymore and wanted to get back together with the accuser, in the hope that the wife would stop harassing her when she had a boyfriend.

Actually, the wife hated her guts and hid in the building long ago to wait for a chance to beat the victim that day. The victim was afraid of being harassed again and stayed home. It happened that the accuser went to the victim’s home and they had a quarrel. The victim cried in the living room with the door open after the accuser left, therefore, the wife went in and killed the victim.

There was a power failure that day, and it was late, plus that there were no witnesses. With so many coincidences, the accuser became the scapegoat.

When the police found the killer, the woman didn’t run at all, but calmly explained everything.

Within ten days after Su Mo’s first court session, the second court session was held.

There’s more audience this time. One reason was, the case itself was too strange. The judgement was announced during the trial of first sentence, yet it was reversed. Another reason was the eloquent defense lawyer Su Mo who drew much attention. The new lawyer that just obtained the Lawyer’s License handled such a big case for the first time, and reversed a verdict successfully. He almost became a myth in the lawyer world. Most lawyers wouldn’t take such cases, as the possibility of winning was rare.

Cui Xun promised to throw a celebration party at the Hilton Hotel for him tonight if the accuser was released today.
