Killing the Same Person Every Time (Web Novel) - Chapter 7

Chapter 7

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

The defense today was especially lacking, but Bu Bai was quick to attribute it to the Protagonist’s Halo. However, the truth was that even of he was the Male Lead, his story didn’t have a Halo. If it did, then he wouldn’t have almost been insta-killed in the beginning. If it did, then the moment they had set foot out of the doorway, they wouldn’t have been surrounded by a group of guards.

“Little Bai, where are you going?” Qi Mo Ran’s lone self walked out from amongst the group. A smile, yet not a smile, was worn on his face as he gazed at Bu Bai — just like when they had first met, he looked flawless.

“I’m here to bring Bu Bai away.” Xiao Ye deserved to be called the Male Lead. Facing such a formidable enemy, he didn’t back down and had instead stepped in front of Bu Bai, his expression completely devoid of fear.

Qi Mo Ran stared unwaveringly at the two’s entangled hands. His grip tightened on his sword, Mo Jun, as he faced Bu Bai and inquired, “You’re willing to go with him?”

With great difficulty, Bu Bai opened his mouth, however, he wasn’t able to let out his voice and his lips only appeared to move. Upon feeling his lover’s trembling, Xiao Ye used his warm hand to embrace the other’s small palm and spoke into his ear, “Don’t be scared, you still have me.”

His voice was pitifully soft, but Qi Mo Ran was able to hear it immediately. The last strand of his wild wishes broke into tiny pieces at those words.

His movements were extremely fast. It didn’t even take long — not over the time it took to burn an incense stick — for him to beat Xiao Ye down into coughing out blood.

This kind of ending had been obvious to Bu Bai from the beginning. There was no one who understood more than he did — someone who had died by his hand several times — about how much strength this person possessed. That was why, his mind had already been made up from the moment he saw Qi Mo Ran to until now. If Xiao Ye were to really die in this place today, then he would accompany him. However, if Xiao Ye had a chance to escape, then he would definitely commit suicide on the spot so as to not become his burden. In any case, it was only a road leading to his death.

“Little Bai, I’ll give you two choices.” Qi Mo Ran stood next to Bu Bai and handed him a dagger. “The first choice is that you can use this dagger to give him a quick death.”

“What’s the second?” Bu Bai was very calm and Qi Mo Ran was unable to understand what this person in front of him was thinking about.

“I’ll do it myself. Let him properly taste the flavour of hell.” Saying this, Qi Mo Ran used the sharp blade to draw a gash on Xiao Ye’s body. Crimson red blood swiftly gushed out of the wound.

“Bu Bai, I don’t need your concern!” Xiao Ye was yelling. “I’m not afraid of this bit of pain!”

However, Bu Bai took the dagger, causing Qi Mo Ran to reveal a satisfied expression. The dagger felt ice-cold, but Bu Bai hands didn’t tremble at all, they were calm — just like tranquil water.

All of a sudden, he laughed. Charging towards Xiao Ye, an expression that could be regarded as a smile appeared on his face. “Xiao Ye, I’m scared of pain.” I’m scared you’ll hurt, and I also don’t want my own heart to hurt. That’s why, let me take a step ahead of you.

From Qi Mo Ran’s perspective, Bu Bai had been walking towards Xiao Ye when all of a sudden, he stopped for no apparent reason. His figure fell down limply in a flash, not allowing him any time to even catch his falling body.

“No!“ Even if something sounded next to Bu Bai’s ear, Bu Bai wouldn’t be able to hear anything. He wouldn’t be able to see either. This was the dead’s so-called rest. It was time for this person’s life to end.

The dagger stuck straight out of Bu Bai’s chest, the entire blade plunged into his flesh. The man clothed in white — snow white that had been dyed red with blood — laid quietly on the ground, his chest not rising at all. He appeared downright adorable and at peace.

As Xiao Ye was captured, he wasn’t able to move forward and could only unceasingly call out Bu Bai’s name at his spot. One shout, followed by another. It was as if he was crying tears of blood.

Qi Mo Ran wanted to approach Bu Bai, however, along the way he stumbled and fell down onto the ground. In the end, he crawled the remaining few steps towards his objective. He pulled the dagger catiously out from Bu Bai’s body, removed the clothes that were dyed in blood, and carefully wiped off the bloodstains on his face. It was only when he finished eliminating all the red that he found unplesant to look at, did he seemingly lose his strength as he nestled by Bu Bai’s side.

Withnessing this scene, Xiao Ye abruptly understood something. Pointing towards his personal enemy, who was driven to distraction, he laughed heartily, “You love him! If so, then how could you bear to force him like this? How did you have the heart to do so? He laughed and laughed, before involuntarily staring to cry bitterly.

Qi Mo Ran’s expression was frigid cold. Pretending as if he hadn’t heard anything, he carried Bu Bai, whose face had lost all signs of colour, and headed towards the bedroom.

In the end, Xiao Ye was set free. Qi Mo Ran didn’t dare to do anything that would make Bu Bai unhappy. He feared that after said person woke up, he would get blamed. And even more, he feared that for this reason, that person would never wake from his sleep.

Qi Mo Ran used a special technique to preserve Bu Bai’s corpse in a fairly intact state. All day long, he waited by his side — waiting for the moment when that person would open his eyes. However, from the start to the end, what he waited for never came.

From the hope at the beginning, to the despair at the end, he questioned incessantly, “Aren’t you supposed to be able to revive? I’m waiting properly, why are you still not returning?”

As for Xiao Ye, he was continously building up his troops so that he could attack this place. He wanted to bring back Bu Bai’s corpse. Even if he were to die in the process, he hoped that they could be buried together.

Spring has come and the flowers are in bloom. Another year had passed in the mortal world. Xiao Ye finally attacked the Demon Palace and arrived at that person’s side. Walking towards the bedroom he had been in that year, he saw saw Bu Bai’s familiar face — it hadn’t changed one bit, looking just like the moment when he had died. He even saw an unexpected acquaintance. Embracing Bu Bai, who had been dead for a long time was Qi Mo Ran, whose entire body was devoid of life.

In the Space, Bu Bai was somewhat sheepish as he glanced at Lao Da. He spoke, “Apologies, I wasn’t able to complete the task.”

Lao Da placed down his cigar with much difficulty, looking rather unusually at the man in front of him as he answered, “It was completed.”

“Eh?” With an endearingly silly expression, Bu Bai stared at the fur ball.

“Qi Mo Ran is dead.” Lao Da carressed Bu Bai’s head, his eyes filled with gratification.

“How did he die?” Bu Bai still didn’t understand.

“Suicide.” Lao Da looked at him as if he was looking at a source of calamity.

Bu Bai fell silent. To be frank, he had never expected this kind of ending. He had always thought that Bu Bai, this person, was only a toy that held little significance to Qi Mo Ran. However, right now he was being informed about that person dying because of him. Indescribably, his heart felt somewhat remorseful and uneasy at the news. However, that small bit of remorse and uneasiness couldn’t be compared to the hatred he held towards that man.

As a newborn soul, he hadn’t even had the time to appreciate the feeling of living before that person made him experience the feeling of death. That person dying alongside him, it might as well be counted as fair.

“Lao Da, will the next world be like this too?” Bu Bai inquired, his eyes shining with tears.

Amused by this youth’s appearance, Lao Da replied, “It’s not. This time, you’re a person with influence and military force.”

Just like this, Bu Bai, the naive and innocent child, cheerfully took the script for the plot. And after that…… There wasn’t anything after that.

The role that Bu Bai was supposed to play was indeed a good find. The script that Lao Da gave him had used two words that were blinding red to draw attention to ‘Bu Bai’, this name. Bu Bai glanced at Lao Da, who was resting, and begun suspecting that there was a mistake with his own IQ .

Bu Bai. Ruler of the Demon Sect. He had been merely thirteen when he took up the Ruler’s mantle. The previous Ruler, his unfortunate father, had been thoroughly defeated by his unfilial son and was forced to leave. [1] It could be said that this feat was truly terrible.

If he hadn’t courted death, then just by relying on his military power and influence, it wouldn’t be a problem for him to die of old age. After all, there wasn’t anyone that had leisure and free time to the extent where they would fight to the death with a formidable foe. Unfortunately, not only did he seek for trouble, he did it in an one of a kind way. He had an extremely peculiar hobby — he liked playing with good-looking youths. Within the sect, he had collected many youths, all of which were captured using various methods, and practically all of them wanted him dead.

Fortunately, the Protagonist was within this crowd of youths. He even belonged to the group that was toyed with especially ruthlessly, and reached the point where he endlessly defied death. Congratulations! Following that, it was extremely easy to predict the path of the plot’s development. Using a godly plan to escape, the Protagonist gathered a group of companions and once again, with a god-like bearing, he fought his way through to appear in front of Bu Bai, killing his personal enemy with his own hand.

Originally, after the story had progressed to this point, it should have ended. After all, the Protagonist got together with the little sister he was meant to get together with. He found out about his past history as he should have. And lastly, he eliminated the enemies he was supposed to eliminate. He had already accomplished the achievements of a winner’s life.

However, just as he was content with everything, he was betrayed by his companion. This companion was very impressive. He used Gu [2] to take control of everyone by his side, before using his military power and IQ to trample all over the Protagonist. In the end, the Protagonist had no other alternative but to drink a cup of poisoned wine and die unavenged.

Within the entire story, Bu Bai was simply a background board for the early stages. After he finished looking through the script, Bu Bai realised a very important question. If he had seemingly died in the first-half of the story, then how would he be able to kill the Villain? Furthermore, he didn’t even know who the Villain was. The script had only stated that it was one of the Protagonist’s companion. Which of the Protagonist’s many companions? Under the entire sky, everything was the Protagonist’s companion!

“Lao Da, you aren’t scared of burying me alive?” Bu Bai asked the fur ball with an expressionless face.

The fur ball arched a brow towards him, saying, “Settle this trifle matter on your own. This time, you can only die once, so treat yourself a bit better.

Grabbing the fur ball, Bu Bai hugged him mercilessly. Although in the end, the small claws left a scratch on him, he still felt that it was worth it. That feeling was really too good.

“Lao Da, wait for me to come back.”

The fur ball turned his body around, only leaving behind a cold and detached view of his back.

Bu Bai woke up on a ridiculously oversized bed. After waking up, he felt something — that shouldn’t be said — on a place — that must not be mentioned — on his body. When he turned to take a look, he saw a completely naked and beautiful youth being embraced within his arms.

With a clear and fair complexion, a pair of long and slender legs, and even glistening teardrops that sparkled within his eyes, the beautiful youth was wailing unceasingly with his hoarse voice, “No!”

How could Bu Bai not be able to understand what was going on? In the previous World, he had been frequently treated in this manner. Feeling that he needed to sober up, he stayed within the quilt for a long time. It was only when he started feeling like he might suffocate soon, did he slowly poke his head out. He still had to take responsibility for what he did, so from this day onwards, he would let this youth remain by his side and somehow make proper arrangements for the others.

“Master, you’re awake?” Another beautiful youth dressed in red walked out from the side. This kind of extremely good looks…… There was no need to ask to know about what kind of person the Original had been.

“You are?” Bu Bai instinctively blurted out this question, before realising with a start that he had done something wrong. He hastily asked Lao Da, “Who is he?”

The youth seemed to be shocked, staring in astonishment at his Master whose clothes barely concealed his skin.

“Oh. I forgot to give you the Original’s memories.” Lao Da didn’t seem to care at all as he spoke.

“You’re slacking on the job.” Bu Bai accused.

“You’re also offending a superior.” Lao Da’s little claw waved and a burst of stabbing pain appeared within Bu Bai’s head. It was as if someone was determined to shove something inside and was using a knife to slice it open.
