Nice to meet you, or good to see you again, to those of you who read the web version. I’m CHIROLU, and I’d like to sincerely thank you for picking up this work, If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord.
I mentioned it at the beginning, but everything started when I encountered an application to participate in a field day as part of a tour, which could only be completed on a computer or a smart phone. In order to complete it, I finally upgraded from a flip phone, and that’s how I ran into web novels, which I had avoided until then. As I indulged in reading on numerous sites, I got an itch to write my own story, and went about proving that even those of us without a computer can make submissions via a smart phone. After writing several short- and medium-length works, I got a little carried away and started my first long-form novel. Thanks to good timing and a lot of luck, a great number of people happened to see it. After a serious lecture from my former boss about how I needed to grab the reins and take charge of my life, all sorts of things happened, leading up to the release of this book. It’s been almost a year since then.
I have to say that I honestly don’t know how it happened.
If it weren’t for that tour application, I may still be using a flip phone with a battery that died at the drop of a hat, and I imagine if I’d purchased a computer instead of a smart phone, I wouldn’t have gotten so into web novels. And if you could only post stories via a computer, I wouldn’t have ended up writing this work.
Looking back, I can’t think of it as anything but a bundle of coincidences and random chance.
I participated in that tour in hopes of spicing up my life a bit, and though it was in a way I certainly hadn’t expected, that’s what happened.
To wrap up, I’d like to give my thanks to everyone who helped make this book a reality. Truffle, the titular daughter that you drew is truly cute. And
above all, to those of you who chose this book out of so many options, you have my deepest gratitude.
As long as this book brought you at least a little joy, then I’ll feel truly blessed.
