Chapter 177 Shuangzi

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

In the Glorious Sky Federation, Wang Hao’s spaceship landed on a level-four planet named Shuangzi.

After Wang Hao got off, he curiously observed the passersby, who were also human beings.

“I thought that the Glorious Sky Federation was made up of aliens!” Xia Weiwei shook her head in disappointment.

“The Glorious Sky Federation and the Universal Federation are both made up of humans. Actually, their origin is the same, but they separated because of conflicts among the leadership,” explained Ling Xiao.

“Human beings are truly strange creatures!”

Wang Hao shook his head. History told him that mankind would unite and realize their enormous potential when they were under pressure, but the moment the pressure was gone, they would immediately start fighting amongst themselves to enslave others.

It was exactly the case of the Glorious Sky Federation and the Universal Federation. Both of them wanted to conquer their enemy.

“You’re not wrong. Human beings are strange creatures!”

Everybody turned around, only to see a scholar in ancient clothes. He did not seem to be part of the modern world at all.

“You’re Bai Bian?” asked Ling Xiao.

The scholar nodded and smiled. “Yes, I am Bai Bian. You’re as gorgeous as you are in the photos!”

Everybody felt closer to Bai Bian after he said that. No wonder the man was sent to the Glorious Sky Federation as a spy. He definitely had a sweet tongue!

“Why are you wearing ancient clothes?” asked Xia Weiwei curiously.

Bai Bian said with a smile, “The ancient style is appreciated in the Glorious Sky Federation. The people here feel that the ancient sages are enlightening, so they like to wear ancient clothes.”

“Really?” Xia Weiwei exclaimed in delight. “I’ve always wanted to wear ancient clothes, but I was afraid that people would laugh at me.”

Le Xuan knocked Xia Weiwei on the head and reminded her, “Let’s talk about ancient clothes later. Don’t forget what we’re here for.”

“Stop hitting my head. I’ll become silly if you keep doing that.” Xia Weiwei glared at Le Xuan, planning to slip into Le Xuan’s room tonight as revenge.

Bai Bian smiled and sent a file to them. “This is the file on the place where Qiu Lei is imprisoned.”

Wang Hao read the file for a while, then glanced at the two moons, one larger and the other smaller, which were visible even during the day. “You’re not telling me that Qiu Lei is locked on the smaller moon, right?”

Bai Bian nodded and said grimly, “That’s right. Qiu Lei is on the smaller moon, which is the most impenetrable prison in the Glorious Sky Federation, known as the Cage.”

“The most impenetrable prison?” Ling Xiao looked at the moon curiously and did not find it heavily guarded.

Bai Bian sighed and said, “Do you see the bigger moon next to it?”

Everybody nodded.

Bai Bian explained, “The planet we’re on is a level-four one that is exclusively occupied by civilians. The bigger moon in the sky is actually also a level-four planet, and a large troop has been stationed on it.”

“Are you serious?”

Everybody was dumbfounded. Was it really possible to rescue someone from a prison that was watched by a large troop?

In order to save Qiu Lei, they had to land on the Cage.

There were only two ways to land on it: to be arrested as a criminal, or to get in with permission.

If they flew the spaceship to the Cage, they would probably be discovered by the troop and bombarded immediately.

If they entered the prison as criminals, they probably couldn’t get themselves out, let alone break Qiu Lei out. So, it was not an option.

As for the second option, it was even harder. They could barely get in touch with those who had the power to permit a stranger to enter such a prison.

“This is exactly why we couldn’t save Qiu Lei.” Bai Bian sighed and said, “We don’t even have a way to land on the Cage, let alone get him out.”

“Can’t we keep the spaceship in stealth mode, or get there through a space jump?” asked Le Xuan.

Bai Bian shook his head. “The troop on the bigger moon has the most advanced radars, capable of cracking any stealth system. As for space jumps, they have space interference waves to disrupt them. Once you use a space jump, you will fall into an alternate dimension, never to return.”

“Wow!”

Everybody was dumbfounded. This prison was truly appalling!

It was defended by a troop with advanced technologies, giving them no hope of breaking through at all. No wonder Qiu Lei had been kept there for five years without being rescued.

“Wang Hao, any thoughts?” asked Bai Bian.

Qiu Linghan mentioned that Wang Hao was very clever and could likely see flaws in the prison’s defense in her message. She asked him to listen to Wang Hao’s commands.

“Nothing has come to mind yet!” Wang Hao shrugged innocently and reached his hands to Bai Bian. “Give me money. We need to do some reconnaissance.”

Without any hesitation, Bai Bian gave him 100,000 Glorious Coins, which were as valuable as the interstellar coins in the Universal Federation, except that they were not exchangeable.

“What are you interested in? Maybe I can answer it!” said Bai Bian.

“I’m going to find out which bar has the prettiest girls. Do you have any inside information?” Wang Hao looked at Bai Bian in delight.

“Well…” Bai Bian’s lips twitched. They were supposed to rescue someone, not hit the bars.

“I don’t think you do.” Wang Hao shook his head in disappointment and snapped his finger. “Qian Wanyang, Chen Yao, let’s start our investigation.”

“Yes, boss!” The two lackeys quickly followed Wang Hao. To hit bars in the Glorious Sky Federation would definitely be something that they could be proud of later.

“Shameless scoundrel!” Li Yunyang spat. He had always despised Wang Hao’s irresponsibility.

“Li Yunyang, watch your mouth,” Ling Xiao said coldly. “It’s not your place to judge my junior brother.”

“Let’s all calm down.” Le Xuan stood between them. “We should focus on rescuing Qiu Lei instead of arguing.”

“Humph!” Ling Xiao snorted and warned, “For Miss Le Xuan’s sake, I’ll let you go, but if you ever badmouth my junior brother again, I’ll beat the s*it out of you.”

“You think I’m scared of you?” Li Yunyang glared back at Li Yunyang.

“Everyone, let’s calm down. Nothing good will come if our identity is exposed,” said Bai Bian.

The two of them finally stopped after hearing that.

Bai Bian smiled bitterly. Those people were already fighting as soon as they arrived. He could foresee how difficult his mission would be…
