Chapter 2011 2011: I Have To Escape

Both the Ninth stage Sovereigns battling with Alice and Reynolds were struck at the same time, temporarily losing their ability to move after the connection between them and the Puppets were forcibly cut off by Grey. The attacks of Alice and Reynolds they were trying to block against struck them without any form of defense.

One has to know that although they were Ninth stage Sovereigns, their bodies are not strong enough to take such brute attacks without any form of defense. Even if they manage to survive these attacks, their lives would surely be in danger.

"You're Grey Dawson!" The scar-faced Gnome exclaimed in shock. He could not believe that the person he was exchanging blows with was Grey Dawson, the person that the Gnomes wanted dead more than anything else. Now he understood why it felt like even though he was close to killing Grey, Grey was able to escape at the very last moment. They all knew how powerful Grey Dawson was, and the fact that he is able to cut off their connections with their Puppets was no secret.

Boom!

The two Ninth stage Sovereign Gnomes shrieked as they crashed to the ground.

Grey turned to look at the scar-faced Gnome, his eyes filled with contempt, "Oh, you know me. Good, save me the trouble and kill yourself."

The eyes of the scar-faced Gnome twitched when he heard this, this is the most arrogant Human he has ever encountered.

On Klaus's side, the silver robbed Gnome was almost on the verge of freaking out. He felt Grey was just as troublesome to deal with as Klaus, he never expected that he was the Human that was the nemesis of all Gnomes. If he had known, he would have escaped the moment he saw him. Seeing Klaus smiling at him, he felt his heart skip. Klaus's smile did not give him any form of calmness, rather, it made his heart race faster and faster.

'I have to escape.' He had thought he would be able to avenge his fallen companions now that the Commander was no longer present, however, things would have been better for them if the Commander was present and they did not have to face this demon.

When the silver robbed Gnome heard Grey telling the scar-faced Gnome to kill himself, he almost fell from the air. He knew how infuriating it was to communicate with Klaus, yet Klaus seemed to be even better than Grey Dawson who straight up told them to kill themselves and save him the trouble. It was almost as if they were dead either way.

"Foolish Human, even if you can make our Puppets useless, so what? Do you think you're on the same level as me? You can't e…" The scar-faced Gnome stopped mid-sentence as he felt his heart send warnings to him, after that, the figure of Grey who was standing a few hundred meters away from him vanished, appearing in front of him in almost an instant.

Gripped by fear, the Gnome did not dare to slack as he hurriedly sent out a wave of darkness element to cover the region of five meters around him.

Bang!

The Gnome felt his innards shake as if he crashed into a mountain. Raising his head, he saw Grey's fist covered in flames punching the wave of darkness element that in turn reverberated back to him. His pupils contracted from the immense power he felt from the punch. His scalps tingled at the thought of being struck by this fist. He was certain that if he took just one blow, he might not die from it, but the chances of him being immobilized was very high.

'I have to escape.' He came to the same conclusion as the silver robbed Gnome. He did not even have the courage to fight against Grey at the moment. This Human was too freakish, just his fist alone is enough to threaten his life, how would he dare to cross blows with him? He was literally armless!

The Gnome turned around and tried to escape, only to see Grey looking at him with a nonchalant expression, it was as if he did not even notice him running.

The silver robbed Gnome also tried to run away at this very moment as well.

Reynolds and Alice charged in the direction the two Ninth stage Sovereign Gnomes they were fighting landed in. A large crater could be seen, and the bloodied Gnomes tried to crawl out of the crater. They managed to stand up, only to see the two Humans they were fighting standing in front of them with cold expression.

Even though they were separated by a few hundred kilometers, they could still feel the danger to their lives. Without hesitation, they shot into the sky and tried to flee. They did not have the chance to check on anyone else, their lives were in danger. Unfortunately for them, Reynolds and Alice, who they have oppressed all those while were oozing with vengeance. This was their chance to take revenge on the Gnomes that had been beating them up all this while, they were never going to let it go.

The duo blocked their paths, not giving them the chance to even fly up to a thousand meters away before stopping them.

They soon engaged in a ferocious struggle. Realizing that their lives were on the line, the Gnomes did not hold back in any way, going all out, even as far as burning their very life essence to boost their strengths. After being seriously wounded by Reynolds and Alice, they could barely bring out sixty percent of their strength, and even with burning their life essence, they were only able to increase it by an additional twenty percent. In this state, they should have no problems with pushing the duo away.

As they tried to escape, Alice and Reynolds stuck close to them like maggots, not giving them any chance to escape. The eyes of the Gnomes turned bloodshot as they swore at Alice and Reynolds. Unfortunately for them, their curses did nothing to them, rather, it was like they were even more energized to stop them.

The situation was the same for the scar-faced Gnome as well as the silver robbed Gnome. Grey and Klaus were not going to let them go.

The silver robbed Gnome was faring much better, after all, Klaus was not the fastest. The scar-faced Gnome, on the other hand, felt the deepest regret he had ever felt. There was no way he could have expected that he would be faced with such a situation. Grey was a Space Elementalist, there was no way he would be able to escape from the clutches of a Space Elementalist that was adamant on ending his life. If he could, then the space element would not be as terrifying as everyone believed it is.

The situation made him fall deeper and deeper into despair. Even the duo who were hurt by Alice and Reynolds stood a better chance at escaping than he did. The reason for this was because before he could even run five hundred meters, Grey would appear in front of him and would strike him back. He did not even try to fight back in any way, all his focus was on escaping. This could not be helped, he was psychologically scared of fighting back and all he wanted to do was to escape.

The Fifth stage Sovereign Gnome battling against Hugh felt like crying, if even his superiors were in such pitiful states, his case was no different. In fact, he was even more stressed. The injuries he had sustained over the past battles were acting up, making it impossible for him to fight back, he was barely able to defend himself.

The group of Humans overpowered their opponents, and as more time elapsed, the injuries on the Gnomes only grew stronger and stronger. It did not take long before one Gnome fell. The Ninth stage Sovereign Gnome fighting against Reynolds was the first to fall. His injury from Reynolds's initial attack when Grey cut off the connection was far more dangerous than that of Alice's, so he was only able to hold on for a short period of time before he could no longer hold on. After Reynolds finished dealing with his opponent, he rushed over to help Klaus against the silver robbed Gnome.

The silver robbed Gnome begged, telling them he was willing to be their slaves as long as they allowed him to live. The duo naturally did not have such thoughts, killing him after a few minutes. The silver robbed Gnome's desperate attack wounded the duo, but they did not care.

Alice's opponent was the next to fall, before Grey finally ended the scar-faced Gnome's life. It was as if Grey was waiting for him to watch his companions lose their lives one by one before he killed him.

Hugh's opponent fell last.
