Chapter 2015 2015: I'm Not Alone

Following a massive explosion, the figure of Grey could be seen flying out from the explosion. His figure tumbled repeatedly in the air, and only after almost twenty kilometers did he manage to regain his composure. He felt a metallic taste in his throat, and forcibly swallowed down the rising blood.

His innards were shaken, and even his arm was trembling from the clash with the Peak Sovereign Gnome. Even though it was just one clash, he suffered miserably.

In the dust covered area, the figure of the Gnome soon came to light. He was still standing in the same position, looking at his arm in shock.

He was a Peak Sovereign, and even though he was injured, he was certain that there was no way a newly advanced Ninth stage Sovereign would be able to trade blows with him and survive unscathed. He saw Grey's condition and knew that the latter was clearly okay. Other than that, his palm was shaking from the impact of the attack.

'How can he be so strong?' The Gnome found it hard to wrap his head around how someone in the Eighth stage could exert this much power. It was simply unbelievable!

Glancing in Grey's direction, his expression turned cold and the thought of killing Grey grew even bigger in heart. Grey is already this strong while in the Eighth stage, once he breaks through to the Ninth stage, then there was no way anyone below the Half God Plane experts could touch him. Even as a Peak Sovereign, he knew that if he wanted to kill Grey, he would surely suffer. However, the future of the war could rely heavily on the young man standing in front of him. With his ability, and the fact that the Half God Plane experts were forbidden from interfering in the battles as it stands, then if Grey advances to the Ninth stage, they are going to be in trouble.

"Boy, I must admit you're full of surprises, even this old man is completely blown away." The Gnome did not hide his praise.

Grey grinned and said, "Blowing you apart will make things better."

The Gnome snorted and pointed at Grey solemnly, "I value talents, why don't you become my subordinate? Don't worry, I will treat you fairly."

"Is this the only thing all of you know how to say?" This was not the first time Grey had faced a Peak Gnome that had offered to take him under their wings. For some reason, these Gnomes all think they would be able to make him join them with just a simple word.

"The situation for you Humans is bleak, even if you can survive, how long do you think you Humans will be able to hold on? Five years? Ten years?" The Gnome asked calmly, looking at Grey he continued in his attempt to convince Grey, "If you decide to follow me, then your safety will not only be guaranteed, but you will also be able to grow further in your cultivation with no worries."

Without waiting for Grey to reply, he added, "Remember, a wise man submits to circumstances."

Grey shook his head and without replying to the Gnome, he charged forward. He did not even want to waste his time with this Gnome, it was evident that all Peak Sovereign Gnomes were delusional and believe everything is within their control.

Seeing Grey rushing towards him, the Gnome snorted coldly, "I don't believe I can't be a puny Eighth stage Sovereign into submission."

Saying this, the Gnome pushed his palm forward, unleashing a powerful attack that contained a potent darkness essence.

Grey was forced to halt in his tracks, seeing the palm coming his way, he knew there was no way for him to dodge the attack. Urging the lightning element in his body, he caused multiple lightning arcs to appear around him.

The lightning arcs were barely able to deal with the palm. Just as he dealt with the palm strike, the darkness essence it contained exploded out, spreading across the entire area where Grey and the Gnome were fighting.

Grey was familiar with this trick, this was something most Darkness Elementalists use whenever they're engaged in a prolonged battle. Taking a deep breath, his eyes glowed with bright light and he clasped his palms together, making a surge of golden energy waves to spread out with him in the center. As soon as the energy wave appeared, the surrounding darkness essence was easily purified, quickly dissipating.

The pupils of the Gnome dilated at the scene before him. They were well informed about Grey's abilities and the light element had never come up in all the information concerning Grey. One has to know that the Gnomes have been investigating Grey for a long time now, since the time he entered the secret realm and suppressed the Gnomes there, they have been investigating his background and abilities, and it was well known now that he had five elements. Never have there been a case where he used either the darkness or light element, according to their information. To be honest, the Gnomes could not be blamed since their information was the same as almost the entire Human World, after all, very few people knew about Grey having the darkness and light element. Of the people who were aware of him being able to use these two elements, only his friends and parents were alive, the rest were dead. There was no way his friends or parents would expose the fact that he had all elements, and the ones who saw him use the other elements died and could not inform anyone else. For this reason, this has remained a secret even though Grey has been thoroughly investigated.

"You have the light element too?" The Gnome squinted his eyes, reevaluating Grey once again. Since the start of his exchange with Grey, he had reevaluated the latter multiple times. At first he fought with him and his friends and realized he was different from others, after seeing him cut off his connection with his Puppet, he was shocked. Even at that, he still thought he knew him after discovering his identity. Yet to his surprise, Grey was able to catch up to him, which should have been impossible. Even at that, he still thought everything was within his control. During their first clash, he was able to push Grey away, which went to show that he was stronger.

Nevertheless, the appearance of the light element changed everything! The light element greatly restrained the darkness element. If the Elementalist is not powerful, then he would not be worried, after all, he was a Peak Sovereign. The crux of the matter is that the person in front of him is stronger than the average Ninth stage Sovereign. Adding the light element to his ability is like giving wings to a tiger.

Realizing the situation had turned extremely dire for him, the thought of escaping came to mind.

Seeing the Gnome wanting to run, Grey scoffed, "Looks like you forgot I'm not alone."

The moment he finished his statement, Klaus, Reynolds, and Alice arrived. With the help of Void and the Bunny Leader, they spread out, blocking each of the Gnome's escape routes.

The eyes of the Gnome turned red from rage, it was one thing that Grey was confident enough to block his path, and after exchanging blows with him he knew the latter had the capital to do this, yet these weak fools were blocking his path. How could he not be enraged? This was nothing more than pure disrespect.

"Anyone who blocks my path dies!" The Gnome bellowed and flew in the direction of Alice.

He had seen Reynolds make use of the Elemental Warrior and knew that he would be a tricky opponent to deal with in a short time. Klaus on the other hand, had his annoyingly thick ice which gave the Gnome headache throughout their battle the last time, so he opted to go in Alice's direction.

Alice did not flinch when he saw the Gnome coming in his direction, her lips curved into a sneer.

The sight of this made the Gnome feel like something was strange. Unfortunately, there was no time for him to think about what could be wrong, as long as he was not entangling himself with Grey, he did not believe all these youths would be just as strong as Grey. His thoughts were not wrong, Alice and the others were in no way as strong as Grey, sadly…

The figure of Alice in front of him suddenly underwent a drastic change, turning into that of a figure he never wanted to meet again. When he saw Grey smiling at him from the front, he almost felt like the world was turning. He paused mid-air, stopping only about fifty meters away from Grey, his eyes filled with shock. The rage had disappeared, replaced by shock and fear.

"How?" This was the only thing he could blurt out.
