Grey and the Bunny Leader separated, since the Bunny Leader was going to take in more Bunnies for its army, Grey had no reason to hold him back. The reason he initially left the group was because Void told him about sensing a treasure, so he wanted to go check it out, and he promised to return within an hour. With the Bunny Leader leaving, he too set out in the direction Void pointed out.
A few thousand meters away from where the group were recuperating, Grey appeared in front of what looked like a small town. It was not as big as the one they were attacked in some time back, but he could sense that it apparently had more experts than that one which he found odd.
He looked at Void who was on his shoulders and asked, "It’s in there?"
Void nodded in affirmation, "Yes, whatever I can sense is inside this town. You should have no problems stealing it."
Grey thought about it and nodded. Even if he was exposed, he was confident in his ability to escape, so he was not too bothered about that. Although he did not want to get entangled in any battles, the benefits should certainly be worth it. Besides, all he needed to do was use his space element to escape once he was found out.
Wearing a mask to cover his face, he quietly snuck into the town, flickering from one building to another, making sure he did not release his aura. He hid perfectly, escaping all eyes. It did not take long for him to arrive at the center of the town, where he could sense the presence of at least ten Ninth stage Sovereigns as well as two at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane.
There were even more Ninth stage Sovereigns on the way here, which was shocking. At the moment, just the number of Ninth stage Sovereigns in this town was already over fifteen. There was the possibility that there were more outside the town as well. Nevertheless, fifteen was already a shocking number. If Grey were to be surrounded by them, he was not confident he could deal with them. Of course, escaping was another thing. As long as he wanted to escape, not even ten Peak Sovereigns could stop him, unless they were able to seal the void, restricting him from using his space element.
The house in the middle of the town was guarded by three Ninth stage Sovereigns who were constantly surveying it. There were also a few inside. Compared to the other houses in this town, it was almost three times larger.
Grey silently snuck in, manipulating the space element. The second he appeared inside this place, he too could sense the presence of the treasure. It was surprisingly a lightning elemental treasure. The lightning essence in the house was shocking. The normal abnormality of the essence outside did not show inside this place, as all he sensed was very pure lightning elemental essence.
’If I give this to Reynolds, he should be able to upgrade his Elemental Warrior, boosting his overall strength.’ Grey thought to himself.
He was already on the verge of breaking through to the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane, and he had also awakened his lightning domain, so he saw no point in keeping this lightning elemental treasure to himself. Reynolds and Alice could make good use of it, especially Reynolds who could make his Elemental Warrior stronger. Coming to a conclusion, he moved about in the house, tracking the source of the lightning elemental essence. It took him a few minutes, but he soon tracked it in a secret room. Even when standing outside the room, he could clearly sense the purity of the lightning essence, as well as the quality.
’This place truly is a treasure trove.’ He thought to himself.
They had only spent a few hours here, and he had already found something this precious. One has to know that due to wanting to quickly find whatever the Eldenford Family wanted, they had spared no effort in searching for anything else. If they had not taken a rest, Grey would have not had the chance for this short exploration.
Grey threw away any distracting thoughts from his head, focusing his mind on the other side of the door. He tried teleporting inside the room, but quickly noticed an abnormality...
’...Huh? Is the space there sealed?’
If the space inside was not sealed, there was no way he would be kept out. This was the only explanation he could think of. Although recklessly teleporting inside the room was dangerous since he did not know the layout of it and could accidentally appear inside a wall which can be very dangerous, he was also very confident in his ability to sense space. With his current attainments of the space element, he could somewhat sense the open spaces in rooms and buildings.
Realizing there was no way for him to teleport inside this place, he had no choice but to pass through the door. He probed around to see if there were any form of array formations hidden around, and only after he did not sense any did he try to push the door open. To his surprise, the door did not budge. It was clear that it had been locked from the other side.
’Is someone inside?’ He asked himself, while clenching his fist.
Gathering enough strength, he punched the door with enough force to break open the door.
Bang!
His fist connected with the door, sending it flying inside the room. He heard the sound of the door striking the wall on the other side of the room. Poking his head inside, he peeked around, only to be shocked by the number of people he saw sitting cross-legged inside the room. The room was at least well over a hundred square meters. Amongst the people seated, there were four prominent auras, each radiating the aura of a Peak Sovereign. At the center of the gathering was a crystal, flashes of lightning could be seen inside the crystal.
’A lightning crystal!’ Grey almost exclaimed out loud.
