Arnain Backroom
The moment Milecor returned to the waiting room, his neck was grabbed before his body was lifted into the air. Killing intent filled the room along with the savage and bloodthirsty aura.
At the same time, the room flashed red as the System notified the participant about the violation. Milecor didn’t struggle or fight, not because he didn’t want to, but because he knew nothing would happen to him.
He looked at the figure holding his neck. A three-meter-tall figure with tanned skin, a pair of tusks protruding upward from the mouth, and a broad shoulder that was twice as large as Milecor’s body. A glinting obsidian-like horn on his head, defined muscles carved on his body, and arms.
The figure was an Ogre, but not just any ordinary Ogre.
"You’d better drop me down if you don’t want to lose your hand, Neret!" Milecor looked Neret in the eyes.
The Ogre’s name was Neret, and he would come out next to fight Tang Shaoyang. Never put Neret on the same level as the Ogre met in dungeons or monsters in the Dimensional. Neret was coming from a primordial tribe, and his tribe was the mixed blood of Titan.
He might look small for someone with Titan, but it was because he inherited the gene from his Ogre’s line, but his strength came from the Titan’s line.
"You are acting tough for a coward who runs away from the fight," Neret snickered at the threat.
Milecor grinned, revealing his rows of jagged teeth, "That’s not a threat, that’s a warning."
"That’s enough, Neret!" A human in silver armor stood between the two, "If you want to kill him, do it after the duel, not before."
The Ogre released Milecor, who didn’t care about the situation he was in. It was normal for mercenaries to go against each other’s throats. Whether they were in the same alliance or not. The lizardman was not worried in the slightest.
The silver-armored human then turned toward Milecor, "You owe us an explanation, Milecor!"
The lizardman looked up and shrugged, "I owe you nothing, Vikar. But you can ask, and I will tell you what I know."
The blue eyes behind the helmet squinted, "Why did you surrender? He only attacked you twice. I believe you will not die for another ten minutes, especially with his tendency to have ’fun’ in the duel."
They had analyzed Tang Shaoyang’s previous duels. Their opponent seemed to have enjoyment in the duel. That was something common for the Executive Administrator. They hoped to use that as their advantage, catching Tang Shaoyang off guard if possible.
Milecor laughed, "Yes, only two attacks, but those two attacks are enough to destroy my shield. That was an attack without his Bloodline Transformation and Spirit Integration."
"You should be able to force him further if you are willing to." Vikar was not convinced by the excuse.
Milecor and Vikar didn’t come from the same faction, but they were familiar because of the nature of their job. He knew more about the lizardman, and he certainly knew that Milecor was not a coward. Or else the job would be recommended to Milecor.
"You are right. I surrendered because I don’t want to put my life on the line for something uncertain. Let’s assume I can last longer without getting killed, but I doubt if five of us are enough to kill him."
Milecor waved his hand as he returned to his corner. That statement caused the killing intent to intensify, but that barely affected the lizardman. He was telling them that they would fail the task.
He smirked when he scanned the upset Ogre and chuckled, "I will give up my reward if you somehow win. You can split it for yourself."
"Just so you know. He hasn’t summoned any spirit yet," Milecor added with a smugness, telling them that their opponent still had more cards hidden. He was trying to tell them that this job was a lost cause.

Tang Shaoyang let out a sigh and muttered, "Are they going to waste my time again? Can’t say the strategy doesn’t work, but this is really boring."
[You should let us fight then and end this boring duel quickly. I would rather spend my time killing Calamity than wasting time in this space.] Karan complained.
The Orc was aware that it was almost time for them to raid another abandoned world. He could not wait for the raid, and he deemed this duel a boring obstacle.
His complaints garnered agreement from the other spirits. Especially from the mindless Calamity Spirits who only sought battle, just like the red-skinned Orc.
"Let’s do it then. I don’t think I can test my progress with them. They are hired mercenaries and will surrender instead of seeing this to the end."
Tang Shaoyang wanted to use the duel to test out his martial arts, but the first duel proved that it was not possible. The mercenary would surrender in the face of a threat.
As he made the decision, the second opponent appeared. A topless Ogre with a massive mace and a giant sword appeared. The monster didn’t have a bloodline transformation, but he could feel the aura. The monster might have used something similar to Bloodline Transformation.
The Ogre was six meters, maybe almost seven meters tall. He had a hunch the Ogre was not supposed to be this big, and it might be related to the skill.
"Let’s take down the giant!"
Tang Shaoyang wasted no time, summoning a hundred high-rank Archaic Spirits. All of them were Calamity Spirits, and they were thirsty for blood. They didn’t wait for further instruction as they ran toward the Ogre, relying on one instruction before they were summoned.
"Kill the Ogre before he can surrender!"
A hundred Calamity marched, yet no noise could be heard. One of the Calamities had an ability to kill the sound. It did it so the Ogre could not surrender. After setting that up, the Calamity had its fun.
Fire, smoke, dirt, black gas, and other elements filled the arena so quickly that it obstructed the actual battle. The calamity roared, but it remained mute. That gave off a weird sensation for Tang Shaoyang, who watched the fight from behind.
They obstructed the spectator, but Tang Shaoyang saw what happened. The Ogre was quickly surrounded. Neret stood his ground, but soon was overwhelmed.
The Ogre was calmed at first, but soon panicked as he had no way to fight off the hundred Calamity. The Ogre screamed, screaming surrender, yet the System didn’t respond to his call.
There was another way for Neret to surrender if his voice didn’t work. The Ogre could use his will, and the System would perceive. But currently, the Ogre was panicked, kept screaming while his will remained in disorder, not being able to be on the same wavelength with his mouth, not being able to surrender.
That was when one giant, presumably a Titan, turned into a Calamity. It stomped on Neret’s head and then popped off like a watermelon with brain juice and blood sprayed all over. It did it like it was stomping a bug.
After killing the Ogre, it grabbed Neret’s leg and threw the body to its master. Then the Calamity Titan claimed its loot, the mace and the big sword.
It raised the two weapons into the air and roared. But the roar remained muted because the sound was killed in this space.
