Chapter 2319: Outburst

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Tang Shaoyang was annoyed that he had to waste his time with these people instead of spending his available time with his daughters. He didn’t know where Arion, Clementine, and Andre were. But these people knew they were not present to interfere with the issue here. They were just playing him for fun.

He let out a sigh as the freezing chill touched his skin. He turned toward Avyn and chuckled. She truly had become more hot-blooded, even more than him. He shook his head and flicked her forehead gently.

"You know it’s pointless. You can’t kill them here. You will be expelled before you can land a hit."

Avyn clicked her tongue and retracted her aura. "Let’s leave. I don’t waste my time with them. I am expecting a bigger fight, but we have to face these cowards instead."

Those words provoked everyone in the meeting. She didn’t bother to hide her words, and she said them harshly. Their faces turned ugly, yet no one surprisingly said anything about it in return.

"Let’s hear their nonsense first. If it’s truly nonsense, then I have a better idea to make it merrier."

Tang Shaoyang sat at the other end of the table, alone. Avyn created a chair made of ice as Zara pulled a chair next to him.

He looked up, looking straight at Harmond, who sat at the other side. "This doesn’t have to escalate further as long as you have a good reason to cancel my mission!"

The way they canceled his mission was by using their vote as Executive Administrator. They could cancel or postpone as long as they had enough votes. It was clear the majority of people here voted to postpone his mission. Even if he issued a new one, they would just postpone or cancel it again.

"You are not allow—"

"That’s not what I am asking, Harmond! I have had enough playing games with you or everyone here. There will be no more petty games because I will take this issue outside the Administrator!"

Tang Shaoyang no longer controlled his aura, letting it out wildly. That quickly put pressure on the meeting room. Of course, each Executive Administrator had their own aura to fight his aura.

That was not an empty threat. He was not going to accept whatever they did to him without getting back at them. He truly had a good plan if they tried to push him further.

"There’s a movement from the Void Cult, we need—"

The table burst into pieces before Harmond finished his words. The dust clouded the space between, but it was quickly swept away with a wave from Harmond.

"So you are still playing games, huh? You think I will cower just because I have the God Order and the Nirvana Alliance. Is that what you guys think?"

Valeria Meloda raised her hands to the air. "Don’t involve me in this. My vote is not to postpone your mission. I am here as a spectator because it seems fun."

She pushed her feet, pushing the chair skidding backward. That was her telling Tang Shaoyang and the others that she was not part of this game.

Baba stood up, carrying his chair and putting it next to Valeria Meloda. Then he sat there, but he said nothing. That was his stance: he was not part of this game.

The atmosphere intensified, reaching a new height as the confrontation began. Douma, Harmond, Ebbe Telines, and Loke Ponteus were not afraid of Tang Shaoyang’s threat.

"You know it’s your responsibility to fight the Void Cult as an Executive Administrator, right?"

Tang Shaoyang chuckled, shaking his head. "How do you train your face to be that thick? You dare to talk about the responsibility of an Executive Administrator in front of me? Are you trying to embarrass yourself or what?"

"How long have I been an Executive Administrator again?"

"Don’t know. Probably two years, or maybe three years," Avyn answered.

"I have killed an Emperor of the Void Cult and also nine or ten Kings of the Void Cult. So what about you, Harmond? What about you, Loke Ponteus? What about you, Douma? What about you, Ebbe Telines? What have you done as an Executive Administrator in your entire career? What’s your contribution in getting rid of the Void Cult? How many Emperors have you killed? How many Kings have you killed? Do you even ever fight the Emperor at all?"

"That’s because those Emperors are cowards! They will run away from us!" Loke Ponteus responded in a loud voice as he stood up, agitated. All those questions got to him.

"Then you can contribute now! Since you know they are on the move, you can fight them, contribute more instead of playing your petty and stupid game. But no, your logic is twisted just like your mind. The Void Cult is making a move, so you want to sabotage me. What a brilliant plan."

Tang Shaoyang was fed up with this nonsense. He just didn’t understand what these people were thinking. They had been going at him ever since he was appointed as the Executive Administrator. It was not like his appointment would jeopardize their position.

"I just can’t fathom what goes through your head. What’s actually the benefit from doing this, at all?" That was a genuine question.

Tang Shaoyang quickly waved his hand at them, "Forget about it. Forget me asking that stupid question. I don’t even want to know why."

"But if you truly have a problem with me, then fight me. The problem will be solved once one of us dies. Instead of sending those mercs to fight me, don’t you have a better chance to kill me yourself? Ebbe Telines? Loke Ponteus? Isn’t that what you want?"

Baba and Valeria looked surprised. It seemed they didn’t know what Ebbe Telines and Loke Ponteus did behind the scenes.

"Stop with your nonsense, Executive Administrator. This is an emergency situation that requires all available Executive Administrators’ immediate attention. We have found a newly integrated world infested by the Void Creatures. Our investigation found that six Void Gates are open there."
