Chapter 2941 – Wrath

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Demoness Yin had broken free, and Mister Taihe was coming. The two strongest elites from Intrepidus and Myriadpath Valley respectively immediately knew what kind of threat Tianming posed to them.

Su Tian had just died, and the denizens of the Sun hadn’t even had that long to celebrate before the next crisis came their way. They’d been on the back foot since the attempt to destroy the Starshatter Formation had failed. The formation wasn’t something that could be instantly deployed, requiring many materials for its completion. Once it was destroyed, Mister Taihe might not have enough materials to make a second one. That would buy the Sun much more time, at least as long as Mister Taihe would need to go back to Myriadpath Valley to restock.

Even after the deaths of the two foundationeers, the Sun still had no initiative. The best they could do was react to their opponents’ moves. But Tianming’s omnisentient power was still rising, even as Yin Chen gave the warning. He, Xiaodao, and Wudi immediately made up their minds, especially after seeing Demoness Yin emerge from the coffin.

“Go!” If they didn’t run now, they wouldn’t be able to escape even if any of them stayed behind to stall. Tianming wouldn’t have been able to kill a second foundationeer if it hadn’t been for Wudi and Xiaodao holding the others back.

“Let’s split up!” Tianming yelled.

Wudi and Xiaodao immediately rocketed off. They were near the Flameyellow Coffin, which had many formations that could change and expand. Demoness Yin immediately charged toward Tianming, no longer holding the coffin in place, so Wudi used that chance to shrink it and have it fly to them right away. Countless flameyellow fiends began tangling with the Intrepideans and hindering Mister Taihe from approaching.

“Brother Lin!” Wudi immediately got Xiaodao and himself into the coffin. At the same moment, tens of thousands of flameyellow fiends appeared beside them to prevent enemies from approaching. The coffin was finally able to work with the astralguard formation once more.

However, the only reason the coffin had been left alone was that everyone had their focus on Tianming alone. He was the one that had killed Ba Xiao and Su Tian and controlled the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. He had everything that the Intrepideans wanted!

Wudi and Xiaodao hadn’t expected things to develop like that. Demoness Yin immediately turned formless; Tianming was in incredible danger. Fortunately for him, he was much stronger than he had been a few hours ago, so he was no pushover!

“Found you!” Tianming’s Xia words spread out and worked their magic, forcing Demoness Yin to appear before she could get close. The grand lexicon wonder had locked on to her and immediately spread some nine hundred words around the formless puddle that was Demoness Yin, pinning her down in the sea of flames!

“Hehehe….” The deaths of Su Tian and Ba Xiao had diminished the forces of the godshades to the point that Demoness Yin’s mental state was greatly shaken. A deathly cold will emanated from the puddle, causing Tianming to shudder despite being bathed in flames. The formless puddle was temporarily locked in place, but a thin red thread seemed to stretch out from the gaps in the divine wonder and rapidly fly toward Tianming!

“You’re indeed a miracle, but that’s all you are. You’ve caused Intrepidus to suffer much loss, costing you the chance to be with me while I’m gentle. I’ll make sure that all you get is pain and suffering from now on,” Demoness Yin said, her voice as cold as frost without the slightest hint of seduction from before.

Words alone, however, weren’t enough to scare Tianming, not in his current state. He glared at the puddle with rage and turned around, speeding toward his astralship.

“You can’t escape!” The two remaining foundationeers and some tens of cosmic cartographers came charging, some toward Tianming and others toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. They all ignored the Flameyellow Coffin.

Without Tianming even having to ask, the ephemeral world wonder and eightpart apparition wonder expanded from the ship and protectively surrounded him. The others that were in range were mired in a maelstrom of illusions and wraiths. The faces of the fifty sisters in Silverdragon Palace turned purple with strain, a sign that they had been pushed to their very limits. But even then, their resolve wouldn’t be shaken. Their sole purpose for existence was protecting Tianming! Even if all the Intrepideans turned into formless, traceless puddles, the divine wonders kept scouting them out and stopped them from advancing, creating a path for Tianming to return!

Tianming was already incredibly powerful himself, able to eliminate any stray cosmic cartographer that wandered into his sights with a single strike. He focused the grand xia lexicon entirely on restricting Demoness Yin.

Under severe assault, he still managed to make it back to the ship and shut the door. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb went to full speed, mustering all the nova source it had to fuel its divine astralship formation. A shockwave caused the ship to rumble as Tianming got it to fly off in the opposite direction of the Flameyellow Coffin. “You guys should leave too!”

Tianming had killed a foundationeer, risking his life to save Wudi and Xiaodao, just like how they’d attempted to sacrifice themselves for him. If the two elders didn’t leave as he told them to, his efforts would have been wasted!

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and Flameyellow Coffin went their separate ways.

“Big Brother, can we shake them off and return to the Sky Palace Formation?” Feiling asked, her snow-white hands slightly shaking.

Tianming furrowed his brows and looked behind him. “It’ll be difficult. Like before, Demoness Yin and Mister Taihe, two foundationeers, managed to latch on to the ship. They’re trying to breach it again!”

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb wasn’t nearly as agile as the Flameyellow Coffin, so it wasn’t hard for the foundationeers to catch up. “This time around, my godfather’s coffin isn’t around to help. It’ll be hard to shake them off.”
