Chapter 525 524 Crossover(Part 15)

“Holy shit, I totally thought I was a goner back there,” Kilzachs sighed in relief, after I used Restoration Magic on him to nullify the poison and heal him.

In addition to the poison, he’d been covered in severe burns, from when he burst out that huge fireball. He must have frozen time around himself to minimize the damage, but he still got pretty badly burned in the process.

If I hadn’t poisoned him before that, he would’ve most likely won that fight, he teleported behind me in the split second it took me to use Restoration Magic to restore my eyes. If he hadn’t collapsed, I wouldn’t have been able to get away in time.

I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. Not only is he super powerful, he’s not afraid to put himself in the line of fire, pun intended, to gain the upper hand and create an opening against his opponent. That was a really good last move…in the end, super glad I won, that was fun.

“Gotta say, I’m kinda surprised that the Duel Field didn’t activate before I slashed you. The poison produced by my blades is pretty lethal and usually kicks in almost instantly. But it took a moment to affect you,” I remarked with a frown.

“Well, it would’ve been anticlimactic if I’d lost like that, so it’s just as well,” He responded with a wry smile.

“Hm, maybe since you have a high capacity of your XFE energy, it slowed the spread of the poison?” I suggested uncertainly.

“The E stands for energy, so saying it like that is kinda redundant.”

Yeah, whatever, it’s just a technicality.

“Whew, that was intense!” Grinned Belia, as she walked over with the others.

“Mhm, that was fun to watch, reminded me of some of your fights against some of our most powerful enemies in the past,” Added Persia with a smile.

“I thought the same thing, it was kinda nostalgic to see you go all out,” Nodded Az in agreement.

“Kinda weird that you guys are getting nostalgic over our past life or death experiences, but okay,” I shrugged wryly in response.

“So…are you guys going back to own world now?” Kilzachs asked us, looking a bit down.

“Mhm, that’s the plan. We really shouldn’t stick around in a world we don’t belong in for too long,” I replied, deciding to keep the details to myself.

He’s probably a lot better off not knowing that this world has a God or whatever watching over it. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.

“On that note…shall we get going now?” Suggested Belia with a shrug.

“What, just like that?” Responded Kilzachs in surprise.

“Well, we don’t need some grand sendoff or anything, that’d be kinda awkward, to be honest,” I grinned sheepishly.

“Yeah, fair enough, I’d probably feel awkward in that situation too. Well, alright then, I guess this is it, huh? Will you guys ever visit this world again?”

“Honestly, probably not, all things considered, but hey…you never know, anything’s possible,” I replied, after a brief pause, as Belia opened the portal back to our own world.

“Alright, guys…I’m activating the spell now. Everyone in this world will soon forget all about us, and I’ll also be activating some temporary mind control to have some people delete all recorded footage of us, along with anything else related to us, documents or whatever. Once we’re gone…all traces of us in this world will be wiped from the memories of every single person who lives here,” Belia informed me telepathically.

“So…goodbye, at least for now, you guys. See you around, maybe,” Smiled Kilzachs wryly.

“Yeah, it was nice meeting you and your friends,” Replied Persia with a grin.

“Mhm, what she said,” Added Az with a nod.

“I may or may not spy on you from time to time, FYI, so keep that in mind,” Smirked Belia teasingly.

Can’t believe she’s saying that when he’ll soon forget about all of us, her included.

“Please, don’t, that’s seriously creepy,” He sighed in exasperation, before letting out a slight laugh.

“Well…till next time. Later,” I remarked, as I held out my fist towards him.

“Yeah, okay…and just you wait, because next time, I’ll be a hell of a lot stronger than you,” He smirked confidently, as he bumped his fist onto mine.

And with that…we headed into the portal, right as Belia activated her spell, erasing all memories of us and having all recorded footage deleted, leaving no trace of us in this world.

We had already made sure that we’d left nothing behind in the hotel we stayed at this morning, so yeah. There might be a bit of mild confusion initially, but Belia told me that she also cast a minor mind control spell that’d prevent them from thinking too hard about it.

I’m not too thrilled about trusting Belia with actually doing all this, but even she seems apprehensive about starting another war with a God-like being, so I have no choice but to put my faith in her.

Ugh, just thinking that makes me feel kinda queasy and restless. Yeah, I feel sick. Well, whatever, I’ll make sure she regrets it if she’s messing around with this, I’ll leave dealing with that to my future self.

As I walked through the portal and the familiar sight of my kingdom, the nation of Abyss, came into sight, I let out a quiet sigh. It’s only been a week, but it feels like ages since I last saw this place.

“That was a really fun vacation, but…it feels good to be back,” Sighed Persia, the portal closing as she stretched her arms up.

“Yeah…I could really use a nap,” Yawned Az with a wry smile.

“I’m gonna go visit a bunch of houses to see if I can catch anyone banging!” Exclaimed Belia eagerly, as she let a portal swallow her up and disappeared.

“That horny moron,” Sighed Az with a shake of his head.

“Maybe we should’ve left her behind, but that might’ve caused more problems further down the line,” I replied with a shake of my head, before adding as I looked around, “It really is good to be back though, as enjoyable as that all was. It’s good to be home…”
