Upon writing the last words, I felt a deep sense of reluctance and at the same time, letting out a long sigh of relief.

People didnt have many decades in life. For me, this was not merely a book but ten years of my life and experience.

It brought me many things - satisfaction, happiness, wealth, but also pain, suffering, repression

This was my longest and most difficult book. The structure and plot were vast with too many characters appearing. This left the plot and worldbuilding with shortcomings and unsatisfactory aspects.

In quite a few places, the plot was out of my control. Just as some readers have said, it was a case of creative exhaustion.

Indeed, in many parts of the novel, I did not grasp things well enough, resulting in writing that did not meet expectations.

However, I tried my best to write the story, shape the Li Qiye that I envisioned, and convey his firm ideas and beliefs.

I never gave up in these ten years. I had moments of inspiration flowing freely and moments of tearing my hear out in frustration

For ten years, many brothers and sisters have stayed by my side without abandoning, and for this, I am deeply grateful. If there were parts that were not written well, it was due to my lack of ability. I hope that I can do better in the next book.

I hope that in the last ten years, Emperors Domination was a small part of everyones lives. I hope that the novel had conveyed some ideas that we can resonate with - the persistence in pursuing our dream and ideals. Perhaps the novel had brought everyone a brief moment of relaxation amid our long journey

If one of these things was achieved, then Emperors Domination had meaning.

Thank you for your companionship, I bow deeply in gratitude. Let us meet again in the next book, I will strive to write an even better story for everyone.

Baos Parting Message

I am moved to read Xiaoshengs introductory sentence because I feel the same way. I will just share some of my thoughts after finishing the last chapter.

I started translating Emperors Domination as a hobby during the summer of 2016 so that my friend could read it. I loved wuxia and xianxia and have read countless novels.

I was excited to share the fascinating worlds of wuxia and xianxia to readers. The plot of Emperors Domination was exceedingly rare. The worldbuilding was excellent, especially the unique main character (for the time). It started a whole genre afterward.

As time passed, I lost my passion and was burdened with real-life responsibilities. During the decade, I lost my mom, Thuy, who passed away too early. She was the perfect mother; I just wanted to write this somewhere. Nonetheless, I gained my wife, Thao, and two beautiful children, Chris and Sophia.

Xiaosheng mentioned weaknesses in the novel. We all felt it at times, mainly the repetition. I understood the reason - it is hard to produce two to three chapters per day. This is just the nature of long Chinese web novels.

After plenty of repetition, translating the novel was difficult and I stopped reading comments since they were negative at times and it killed my motivation. I know there were positive comments and I truly appreciate them.

Nonetheless, we have crossed the finishing line if you are still here to read the message. My dao heart wavered at times but I did it.
