As I stepped into the building, the sound of students gossiping filled the air.

"Kyaaa! It's Kireina!"

"Look, it's her!"

"Wow, she's so majestic—even just walking..."

"Did you see that handsome man outside? Someone said he's her father!"

"So her dad's really a hotshot CEO? I heard he's single too!"

"No way?!"

Most of the chatter came from female students, though a few guys joined in. Among them was one particular nuisance who occasionally tried to flirt with me.

"Aha! Kireina! There you are!"

An average-looking guy with tanned skin and dyed blonde hair approached. His blue eyes were clearly colored contacts, and he wore only the school's white shirt—no jacket. He was flanked by two thug-like companions, both known for bullying. One even sported a pompadour, like a walking stereotype.

This guy was Takeshi—an idiot who fancied himself "popular." It was the kind of popularity bullies manufacture by intimidating others and pretending it makes them strong.

"What do you want today, Takeshi?"

"Come on, don't look at me like that. Why don't we hang out after school? I've been wondering if you're good at karaoke! Eh? What do you say? You can bring your friends too, right guys?"

"Hell yeah, Takeshi!"

"Nesiphae-chan, I'd love to have you come along!"

His friends screamed as he collapsed, mourning him like he'd died. Even though I hadn't hit him that hard, he was bleeding.

He muttered that before losing consciousness.

Oops. Maybe I overdid it.

Students nearby had started watching. Ugh. I had to do something.

I scooped Takeshi up in a princess carry.

His friends blushed like schoolgirls.

"Kireina-sama is so strong! She carried him like nothing!"

"Please carry me too—I feel faint!"

I didn't have the patience for these idiots today.

"Scram," I hissed. They scattered, hiding behind other students.

I carried Takeshi to the infirmary. He reeked of cheap cologne.

"Knock, knock... Um, is Lady Lucy here today?"

A stunning blonde woman greeted me with a warm smile. Her bright blue eyes flicked between me and the unconscious student.

"Bringing another one in, Kireina? Planning to take advantage of this poor, innocent boy~?" she teased.

She had dark red horns on her forehead and black feathered wings—features only I could see. Not even Frank could.

Lady Lucy was, in fact...

"Hello, Lucifer. Sorry for dropping in unannounced."

I stepped inside as she closed the door behind me.

"Ah, it's fine. I've grown used to life in this world," Lucifer said with a smile. "I have a good family here. A father who loves me—can you imagine? Though being single at 35 isn't ideal... My sisters keep nagging me to get married."

Lucifer was the school nurse, in charge of the infirmary and occasionally teaching biology. I visited her every couple of days to share updates. She'd chosen to live quietly in this world, at her own pace.

I laid Takeshi on the bed, and she examined him.

"He's fine. Just passed out from shock. He'll wake up in an hour or two," she said. "Now, Kireina—any news?"

"Yeah. My father and our clan have been tracking those demon drugs. There are sellers all over Tokyo. We've cleared our territory, but whenever we try to move beyond it, the wolves, bats, or monks show up and claim we don't have jurisdiction."

"Fools. How can they tolerate drug dealers?" Lucifer sighed and lit a cigarette.

"Um... I don't think the nurse should smoke inside the school," I muttered.

"Fufu, you're a student—you don't get to boss me around," she giggled. "And I need this... seriously."

"Okay..." I nodded. "Lucifer, are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Just... merging with my other self who lived here for 35 years has changed me. Like you said, it's not just memories—we truly become that person. So now I share her problems and addictions."

"Aha. So... smoking?"

"Yes. And anxiety. And depression. Though I've always had that," she said, exhaling smoke. "You're so pretty—like a doll. Has anyone told you that?"

"Yes. I hear it often," I sighed.

"No wonder you're so popular," she giggled. "Anyway, I met that Noah guy. He's intense. Keeps using his Aura to intimidate me."

"Is he scary?"

"Not really," she shrugged. "He's stronger than me, but... he doesn't seem to have real killing intent. Just grumpy."

"Alright," I nodded. "I was wondering if you'd join my organization. You're strong—we could use your help."

"...Sorry. I have to decline."

"Really? So you won't help me?"

"I'll help when it truly matters," she said. "But for now, I'm treating this life as a break from all the chaos I've endured. Still... I do feel guilty about those demon drug dealers."

"Any idea who's behind it?" I asked. "I brought some evidence this time."

"Let me see," she said. "Wait—where's that adorable little Mammon?"

"What do you want?" Mammon floated out of my ring, hovering in midair.

"Kyaa! There you are! You're so tiny and cute!" Lucifer hugged him. "I can't believe the old greedy Mammon turned into this cutie... merging with a fragment of your soul really changed him!"

"Ugh, shut up!" Mammon snapped. "Lucifer, you're so damn lazy! You still exist in Hell, you know?! And yet you barely do anything! We could work together to stop the other archdemons from distributing drugs!"
