"Looking at your pets, you might actually be an amazing monster tamer, Frank," Matsuo said.
"Haha, you think so? Well, I recently got another one," Frank replied with a hearty laugh. A black slime emerged from the bushes and leapt onto his left shoulder. "This little guy is Onyx! He's a tamed black slime. I found an egg when we fought those monsters, remember? One of them hatched, and I tamed him. Now Onyx is my new pal."
"You're building a whole Pokemon team or something?" Matsuo laughed. "Maybe we should invest in Frank to raise monsters for our organizations."
"Huh, I hadn't thought about it, but tamed monsters that can evolve? That sounds incredible," Harumi said.
"Yeah!" Erika nodded. "Maybe Dad could give you one of those divine pups he has. If you raise it well, we'd have a powerful new member of the pack!"
"W-What?! Hold on, I'm not selling my services as a pet caretaker," Frank said quickly, trying to calm them down.
"Well, this is all amazing, but why did you bring us here?" Mammon asked. "Just to show off?"
"Hahaha, I wanted to invite you into my Domain. Isn't it cool?" Frank said. "We can hold secret meetings here and train together without stepping into anyone else's territory. It could be a neutral zone."
"Huh, that doesn't sound bad," Erika nodded. "Does this Domain stay in one place or move with you?"
"It's linked to my soul and also to a protective formation array in my house," Frank explained. "I used it to create divine protection for my family, so it's technically tied to where I live. It started as a Divine Realm—empty at first—but I built everything you see using my Dirt Skill and Nature Magic. The Divine Realm handled the rest."
"You built all this like some kind of god?!" Erika asked, her mouth agape. "That's insane, Frank! How did you even do it? It feels like cheating."
"He is technically cheating," Harumi said.
"Wow. Should we explore this place or what? Might as well enjoy it," Matsuo said.
"Yeah, I wanted everyone to explore," Frank nodded. "Let's go!"
"Well, sure, whatever," Harumi shrugged.
"Huh, it's nice around here. The wind feels good, and the sun is warm," Mammon said. "Wait—the sun? There's a sun in here?"
"Technically, it's not a real sun," Frank explained. "It's a mass of energy I created by stacking bright and light spells together."
"Huh~ You're definitely creative," Mammon said, looking around with curiosity.
I wandered beside Frank, admiring the lush scenery and walking barefoot on the grass after slipping off my school shoes.
"It's nice~" I said with a relaxed smile.
"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Frank replied with a gentlemanly smile. "Kireina, you're welcome here anytime. Monsters keep appearing, so I hope you'll help me take them down before they become a problem."
"Okay, sure," Matsuo nodded.
"But what do we get out of it?" Erika asked. "I'm not doing favors for free, Frank. You've got to offer something in return."
"I agree," Harumi added.
"Well, you can keep some of the dropped items and monsters," Frank offered. "I don't mind sharing. You don't have to act like I'm greedy."
"Huh, dropped items?" Harumi asked. "That sounds tempting. Are they strong?"
"I don't know. It depends on luck. Sometimes nothing shows up," Frank said.
"How did you create these monsters?" I asked.
"Ah, it's a bit complicated," Frank admitted. "I used crystals and cores from monsters we've hunted before. I planted them into land infused with my power and lifeforce, along with divine protection from a beast god I'm connected to. With that and the godly power I temporarily gained while creating this world, I was able to spawn monsters that now roam freely. They've multiplied and even evolved beyond their original forms."
"That's overly complicated—but interesting," Matsuo said, rubbing his chin. "So where are the mons—"
RUMBLE!
CRACKLE!
The ground trembled and then split open as something enormous surged from beneath. Everyone panicked, leaping away from the spreading cracks in the stone.
"W-What the hell is that?!" Erika shouted, jumping from boulder to boulder as they collapsed. Her agility as a werewolf was impressive.
"GRYYAAARRRR!"
The creature roared, emerging from the smoke. It resembled a monstrous fusion of a bear and a mole, with jagged teeth, massive tentacles protruding from its snout, glowing red eyes, and blazing claws.
The size of the thing? Easily over fifty meters, a true giant.
And more than that, what only Mammon and I could see... it radiated Divine Cosmic Power of the highest, richest tier.
"Ah, crap. One of them showed up!" Frank said. "Yeah, I've got a mole infestation. These giants are all over the floating island... which is expanding into a continent."
"That's a mole?!" Harumi asked. "Are you sure it's not just a giant messed-up bear, Frank?"
"It evolved from Blazing Claw Bears," Frank explained. "They were among the first monsters I ever hunted. Matsuo helped me with that. I had a few of their cores, so I planted them here. Stronger versions were reborn. I remember fighting one when I first created this place—it was tough! Dropped some great gear and skills."
"GRYYAAAARRR!"
The Giant Mole Bear roared again, charging toward us with blazing claws, tearing through the earth and flinging massive chunks of stone and dirt.
RUMBLE!
"It's coming! Watch out! Damn it, Frank—it's a literal kaiju! Did you expect us to fight this thing?!"
Erika grabbed Matsuo and Harumi and bolted. Frank took to the air. Mammon and I were already flying high, watching the chaos unfold.
"What do you think, Mammon?" I asked.
"Amazing! This world is overflowing with resources," he said. "That creature is definitely a Cosmic Beast at the peak of the World Devourer Realm. You'd have to search the cosmos for ages to find one like this, and here they just spawn naturally? That's insane!"
"Haha, yeah. That's the beauty of this Cosmic World," I said with a smile.
"Kireina! Mammon! Are you two okay?!" Frank called out. "Whoa, you're already up in the sky! Nicely done!...Kireina, you've got wings! They're beautiful!"
"Oh yes, these are my Fairy Wings. They come with the Darkwood Fae Bloodline," I replied. "And well, we chickened out and flew away, sorry about that," I giggled. "Still, that thing is mighty, Frank. Was it really born from this Realm?"
