The mystery by which all Reaities were able to contain the same Origin was a mystery that Rowan had previously did not know he needed to ask, but when he reached the brink of the ninth dimension and began creating his ow Primordials, this question came to the forefront, and he saw that answer lay with the creator who was feeding power to every single Reality that had broken from the first Reality, but that was only looking at it from the surface. Now that Rowan could observe more closely, he saw that he was right and wrong about his assessment. He had thought that all Realities had been able to share the same Origin Force because of the potential being fed to them, but at his present level, he saw that this was not the case.
Despite the Origin of Space being spread across all Realities, the Origin of Space was still singular, and what kept it separate was the changes that every single Reality was experiencing with the power being pumped inside them by Enoch.
Rowan saw that when Enoch shattered Hundun, he killed the consciousness of the First Reality, but at that level of power where Hundun operated, death could not easily come for him, and if nothing had changed, then, like rivers flowing back into the sea, all his broken portions would return to him.
When Hundun was born, there was no concept of death, and so killing him would be nearly impossible, but Enoch seemed to have an endless source of power, and when all those tendrils of light were connected to all the pieces of Hundun, every part of it began to change.
In one of the pieces, magic could be found, and stars were born with the light of Aether at their core; in another Reality, there could only be darkness, and light could not be found here. In one Reality, the living beings within were born old and slowly grew young, and in others, there was no death.
Endless variations across all of these Realities ensured that Enoch had found a way to kill Hundun; he had made every piece of himself unrecognizable to the other.
Rowan paused as he analyzed the knowledge he had just learnt about the beginning of everything. He was now aware that the reason multiple Realities could even exist at all was that Enoch had actively pushed change and chaos across all of its scattered parts, but Rowan did not know the reason that he would do such a thing. Why did he want to prevent the birth of Hundun?
What made everything even more confusing was that he knew that Enoch and the Primordials were connected, and the Primordials began destroying all Realities due to the manipulations of Enoch. And he wondered why Enoch sacrificed so much power to create an existence filled with endless transformation and variation in the beginning, and now he was killing everything.
The answer was here, and Rowan was determined to find it, because he knew that if he could answer this question, then he might have seen the core of this conflict.
Rowan’s eyes flashed as he remembered the words of sheer need and madness when he entered this memory,
"More... More... More... I want MORE!"
Apart from Hundun, who could have the power to express their will so strongly across existence, the only other person with this power was Enoch, and Rowan knew that Hundun, even though he might not be considered dead, was shattered to pieces, and so, the only conclusion was that this voice belonged to Enoch.
Rowan knew he could no longer remain inside this memory for long; the pressure was now too great, and he could feel the cold hand of death slowly wrapping around his throat... the danger that was heading towards him was now so great that he knew he was truly about to die.
Still, Rowan closed his eyes and analyzed everything he had seen and heard. That need from the voice of Enoch, he recognized that madness, and this recognition was like a lightbulb in the darkness, and Rowan saw the shape of the truth.
He knew what obsession was and felt like, and he knew what it would mean if the source of that obsession was taken away. Enoch wanted chaos, no, needed chaos, craved it, and a being like Hundun, singular in his perfection, was an affront to his senses, and so it would not matter how much power he was sacrificing, he must have what he wanted.
What if the source of his obsession was taken away? What if one day Enoch could no longer consume more of the endless chaos that drove him?
"Then he would destroy it all," Rowan murmured.
This was not speculation but the result of all the broken pieces of truth he had been gathering over the years.
He knew that Enoch was not dead, but somehow he could no longer touch existence the way he used to, and he greatly suspected that the reason Enoch could no longer continue his obsession was that he used the power of what Rowan knew as the Final Form.
The missing Incarnation that was somehow still alive and experiencing a weirdly accelerated time, and could not be found or contacted, and maybe he was trapped in the same place that Enoch was.
And it was a chilling thought that when he summoned the power of his Final Form, he had originally wanted to make Eos bear the brunt of the Primordial’s hunger instead of his Incarnation, because his main body was more durable, and now he knew that if he had done this, then it would be his main body that was missing.
A part of him did not know whether this was ultimately a gain or a loss. If his Incarnation was in the same place as Enoch and was still not dead, did it mean that Enoch was in a state where he could not even kill his Incarnation, or was he imprisoned? What if his main body was with Enoch? Would he have enough power to destroy this entity and end the source of suffering across existence, or would he have fallen into a trap he could never escape from?
All of these questions were important, but Rowan would rather leave it all to his main body who had more tools to find the answer. He needed to leave because he thought he might have discovered the most potent weapon against Enoch.
It was a simple thing to let go of this memory, and Rowan awakened in his body.
Like always, awareness was instantaneous. A part of him felt the touch of Eos entering his mind and collecting all the experiences and thoughts he had gained inside the memory in an instant, and he was given the memory of everything that had happened while his consciousness was also occupied.
He saw the hand of the abomination reach for his throat. As a piece of Eos, he recognized the corrupting power of this touch that would harm his main body more than it would harm a Primordial, because Rowan could realize that the blackness that gathered around the arm of the child reaching for his throat was the death cries of Hundun.
This was the perfect weapon against him, as it was hard to even figure out how to suppress a power that was a fundamental part of his core. But seeing this concept twisted into a killing weapon was also an enlightening process, because he thought he had just figured out how to kill Enoch.
Rowan began to move, but he knew he was too late; the boy was already locked onto his essence, and he was getting ready to sacrifice this Incarnation when Telmus appeared.
’Ah, that’s right,’ he thought, ’I no longer fight alone.’
