Chapter 006: Mercenaries of the Dawn Continent

As the car narrowly missed hitting Allen and a group of kindergarten children crossing the road, he felt enraged by the driver's careless behaviour. Although Allen only caught a brief glimpse of the driver, he noticed the driver appeared conscious and alert.

Shortly after the close call, the car continued speeding and collided with two other vehicles at an intersection.

One of the cars flipped upside down, while the other was violently turned in another direction. The car that had almost hit Allen and the children was thrown to the air, revolved a couple of time and fell upturned on the street.

As fuel leaked from one of the cars broken fuel tank, a driver had lost consciousness while his hand was dangling loosely through a broken window, blood slowly flowing from his head through the arms, dripping to the ground gathering into a puddle of blood.

from the first white car that cause the accident came out a man in his mid-thirties, half of his face covered in blood, holding his arm that seemed broken, he stumbled his way as tried to flee his way from the scene.

Tens of meters away Allen and Nicholas stood taking in the scene Infront of them, Allen's eyes were squinted as his gazed switched between the leaking fuel and the sparks not far away from it.

With a flash Allen transformed into a blur as he bulleted towards the overturned car that leaked fuel, his intentions to save the passengers within first.

Opening the front passenger's door, Allen found that it was bend in a way that prevented it from opening enough for a person to go through, revolving the energy from the core inside his dantian through his body Allen violently ripped the door out of the car, throwing it a way, Allen gently carried out a middle-aged woman sitting on the passenger seat, he moved her a safe distance to the side where some other people could help her.

Allen went back to the car, in the driver's seat the a middle-aged man was opening his eyes, slowly regaining consciousness, Allen moved to his side, opened the door and helped him out of the car then walked him to where his wife was, in a weak voice the man grabbed Allen's hand and said to him " my daughter....wh-where is my daughter...", his tone was filled with anxiety as he fell back to unconsciousness.

moving swiftly, Allen went to backseat of the car where a small girl of seven or eight years old sat on the car's backseat, as she was belted she wasn't hurt but clearly shocked and terrified of the situation her face pale, eye opened wide and body frozen, opening the door and undoing her belt, Allen placed his hand on back of her head releasing an energy stream, her eye closed and she fell a sleep, swiftly Allen entered and carried her out.

heaving a sigh of relieve, Allen looked at the third car where Nich had already helped two passengers out of the car to a save distance when he noticed Allen looking at him he raised his hand in with a thumb up gesture.

Suddenly Nich's expression changed as he shouting " WATCH OUT! ".

his scalp tingling Allen's eyes fell on the puddle of fuel, sparks were coming from the engine falling inches from the leaking fuel,

Allen only had the time for him to curse his luck in his head " I'd be damned ", covering the small girl with his body he intended to move away, but just as his back was facing the car

A spark fell, the fuel was ignited, and flames spread, not even a moment later it reached the fuel tank followed by an explosion.

Allen who was a meter or so from the car was engulfed in the explosion, his figure faded within the flames and smoke, on the other hands, the cars and people were keeping a safe distance from the crash location while the ones saved from the cars were helped away by Nich.

moments later Allen walked slowly from the flame, child in hands, spiritual energy shield was covering the area around him,

as he walked out the sound of police and firefighters sirens resounded as they where getting nearer

three ambulances and a firefighter car arrived shortly accompanied by multiple police cars, as they reached the crash each went to their position and in a matter of moments everything was in order.

on the side two men in uniform went to where the driver who caused all this mess was being restrained by Allen, they both had somber expression, one of the two men bend down and started searching through the driver, meticulously inspecting him, moments later he stood up with a small memory storage device in hand, he nodded to his companion.

seeing the memory card and the and his companion gesture, took a syringe from his pocket, his eyes exuding cold light as he moved towards the unconscious driver.

At the same time Allen was talking with a young policeman who was asking him questions about the incident, mean-while Nich was looking around while waiting for Allen to finish his talk with the Policeman, while looking he noticed the two men in uniforms as they moved directly to the driver once they got here, as someone with much experience he could tell from their way of movement and aura they weren't normal, when he noticed their actions of searching the man his eyes squinted,

Once he saw the syringe, his body disappeared from where he stood earlier, in a moment he appeared beside the two men, with a sharp gaze he looked at the two as the his aura was released " who are you, and what do you think you are doing ? ".

In response the two men eyes sharpened "get lost, kid, can't you see our uniforms we are doing our job", by this time Allen had noticed what was happening and was slowly moving on their direction, suddenly his senses noticed both parties releasing their auras,

Nich was talking to duo as he took am identification card, once seeing the card the man with the syringe had an ugly expression, as he changed his stance, killing intent started exuding from his body, while the man with memory device locked his eyes at Allen.

one took a step towards Nich as the other was stopping Allen from helping,

As their aura almost doubled, the killing intent they emitted was a clear evidence they were not who they were pretending to be.
