Chapter 1322: Dark King Reborn

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Adam opened his eyes.

"...What?"

He looked at his hands. They were tiny. Very tiny.

"What’s going on?"

He found himself in a familiar place. An all too familiar place.

"Is this... a dream?" He murmured.

The sun cast a radiant glow on the land, bathing the field of crops in a brilliant golden glow. In the distance, Adam saw an oak tree, and under its shade... a familiar figure waited for him.

When Adam’s gaze landed on this figure, his eyes involuntarily teared up. He broke into a run, trying to get to the oak tree as quickly as possible.

But his strides were short, for he found he had become a child again. A child no older than five or six years of age.

At last, after what seemed like forever, he finally arrived under the shade of the oak tree.

And there he was...

"Myu!"

A cute little kitten, with grey fur and round topaz eyes, looked at him with love and adoration.

Adam broke into tears. He arrived before his little brother and collapsed on his knees. Then he pulled him into a tight, warm embrace.

"Val!" He bawled out, tears streaming down his face. "I missed you, Val! I missed you so much!"

The kitten tilted his head, curiously gazing at Adam with his bright yellow eyes. "Myu?"

However, Adam didn’t care. He didn’t let his brother go. He hugged him tightly and cried for a long, long time.

Only when his voice grew hoarse did he finally stop. He wiped his tears away, then looked at Valerian with a doting smile.

"What... is this place?" He asked. "Did you do this?"

Valerian closed his eyes. Then, he rested his head against Adam’s chest.

"Myu..."

Adam smiled. He gently stroked the young dragon’s head and softly said, "It’s okay. I’m here now. Just sleep."

He slowly rose to his feet while gently cradling Valerian. He looked around with a light frown on his face.

What is this? A dream? He thought.

Did Val pull me into this dream?

This place was just a small patch of land that was occupied by wheat fields and an oak tree on a small mound. Beyond that, there was nothing but white emptiness.

This is my home in Behal, he thought.

But my house isn’t here...

As he walked towards the edge of the dream, he found that colors started to bloom and more land materialized.

"Myu..."

As soon as that happened, Valerian’s face displayed a light frown. It was as if he was straining himself trying to weave new things into existence inside this dream.

Adam immediately stopped.

This is his doing after all!

He gulped involuntarily, then slowly stepped away from the edge of the dream. He returned to the shade of the oak tree.

While continuing to pat his little brother, he thought to himself in awe:

Did he weave this dream unconsciously?

Val should have been recuperating deep inside my spirit sea. Then, how did he...

He soon realized that Valerian must have sensed his anguish through the bond they shared. In order to relieve his pain, the young dragon had subconsciously pulled him into a dream.

As he came to that conclusion, Adam’s eyes teared up. He gently kissed the gray kitten on the head and whispered:

"Thank you, Val. I... I love you."

Valerian purred in response, a faint smile forming on his furry little face.

"Just get well soon, okay? I miss you a lot," he said gently. "When you wake up, I... I’ll take you to the spirit world. I promise."

Valerian’s little paws tightened ever so slightly around Adam’s neck.

"Sleep well, my dear brother," he whispered. "Everything’s going to be alright."

"It’s been more than six hours," Goro muttered with a dark look on his face. "Why hasn’t there been any reaction yet?"

Standing beside him, Dokuto and Masayori Tsuitsui were equally puzzled.

"He should have absorbed the essence of the venomous medicine by now," Masayori murmured.

Suddenly, Goro thought of a grim possibility. "Could it be... that he..."

He didn’t even dare finish his line of thought. He turned to Dokuto and urged, "Father, we should deactivate the formation and bring him out!"

Dokuto hesitated briefly. Then, finally stepped forward. "Alright—"

Right at that moment, Masayori pulled him back. "Wait!"

The violet essence of the venom slowly started to be sucked towards the bottom of the pool. A giant vortex was formed, with a shadowy figure crouching in the center.

Within moments, all the essence was absorbed, and the transparent liquid inside the pool evaporated.

And then...

BOOM!!

A naked figure burst out of the pool, the sheer force of his leap shattering stone and sending shards of stone flying away.

When the Magi of the Tsuitsui Clan caught a glimpse of this man, they were astonished!

The naked figure gracefully landed on the ground, his new appearance finally visible for all to witness.

He straightened his back and stood straight, displaying a brilliant smile. "Auhh!"

Adam’s transformation was nothing short of astounding.

His once charred and grotesque skin had become fair, smooth, and entirely unblemished. Like polished jade warmed by gentle sunlight.

Beneath it, his muscles rippled with vitality that was impossible to miss. Lean, defined, and filled with strength that suggested explosive power at a moment’s notice.

His hair, now long and raven-black, cascaded down his back like a tenebrous waterfall. Each strand shone faintly, looking tougher and more resilient than steel itself.

But perhaps the most striking change was his face. Every angle and line seemed to be carved with divine precision.

It was sharp, yet strangely harmonious. It was the kind of handsomeness that could only be described as otherworldly, as though a deity had personally shaped him with great love and care. Even without eyes, his looks remained undiminished. His features were so striking that the absence only added a mysterious quality to him.

Though he appeared to be in his early twenties, his new transformation gave him an almost ageless allure.

And all of it was wrapped in an aura unlike anything he had carried before. He stood tall and broad-shouldered, his physique radiating an overwhelming sense of raw, vigorous strength and vitality.

The Dark King had been reborn!
