From within the gaping hole, tendrils of blackened meat crawled outward.They stretched, split, and intertwined, dragging fragments of ruined flesh back into place. The sound was wet and grinding, like bones being reset and muscles stitched by force alone.
The torn cavity steadily shrank. Charred tissues thickened, hardened, and fused. Within moments, the hole was gone, replaced by warped flesh that pulsed several times before stabilizing.
The corrupted giant pushed itself upright. Its massive body was whole once more, the spell’s damage erased as if it had never existed.
It let out a roar filled with fury. The giant turned around, ready to face Adam once more. But soon, its countless pupils constricted.
Adam was nowhere to be seen.

His cloaked figure stood right underneath the corrupted giant, watching it frantically search for him.
Seeing this, Adam couldn’t help but sneer.
So many eyes, yet you can’t even see!
He willed the Faceless Mask to completely mask his mana fluctuations as he rapidly weaved a series of hand seals. Then he sacrificed an earthen material component. Following that, he pressed his hands on the ground, and a brilliant magic circle lit up.
The youth couldn’t hide the manifestation of the resplendent magic circle. So it was inevitable that the giant would notice it. But by the time it did, it was already too late.

The ground beneath the giant bulged. Cracks raced outward as dense earth mana surged upward.
In an instant, a massive earthen spike erupted from below. It tore through the blackened rock and soil, piercing straight up the giant’s lower body. The force lifted the creature off its feet, driving it helplessly into the air.
The spike continued to grow, impaling the giant through its torso and neck before bursting out from the top of its head. Stone and corrupted flesh exploded outwards as the giant’s body convulsed violently.
Suspended high above the ground, the colossal creature hung skewered on the jagged pillar of earth, its limbs twitching and its weight borne entirely by the spike that had pinned it in place.
Adam’s figure weaved into existence as he cancelled the Invisibility spell. He turned towards the impaled body of the corrupted giant, which was still shuddering.
He knew that this wasn’t going to be enough to deal with the creature, as it had a high regenerative ability.
And so, he prepared his next spell.

Towering walls of earth erupted from the ground in four directions.
They rose violently, slabs of stone and compacted soil, thrusting upwards with great force. Each wall climbed higher and higher as Adam infused mana into the spell.
Within moments, the impaled giant was completely enclosed.
The Walls of Solitude connected at the corners, forming a massive stone enclosure around the creature. Dust and debris rained down inside as the structure sealed shut, cutting off movement and sound. The ground trembled from the sheer weight of the construction.
Inside the stone prison, the giant thrashed violently despite still being impaled by the Firm Spike.
Adam rose to the skies once more as he utilized Flight. He hovered right above the imprisoned giant, looking down on it with cold indifference.
He knew that even this wasn’t enough to deal with the foe, and so, he cast his next spell.
He raised both hands, palms facing downward.

Fire poured out.
A continuous torrent of flames erupted from his palms, cascading down like a burning waterfall into the enclosed space below. The walls trapped the inferno, preventing the fire from spreading outwards. Heat surged violently as the air warped.
The giant thrashed within the enclosure. Its massive limbs thrashed against the walls, but there was nowhere to escape. Dark flesh blistered and split apart under the flames. Tendrils that tried to regenerate were burned away the moment they emerged.
A deafening scream filled with agony erupted from the giant. The sound echoed across the Dark Valley, rolling like thunder through the cliffs and caverns. The screams continued as the fire raged on, growing weaker and weaker.
But Adam knew for certain that this wasn’t enough to kill the giant. Actually, he even doubted whether he could truly kill it.
And so, he acted without hesitation.

Ice mana surged outward as he completed the spell. The air above the enclosure dropped in temperature instantly. Jagged chunks of ice formed midair and plunged downward in a violent storm, slamming into the imprisoned giant from all directions.
The remaining flames were smothered under layers of snow and hail, steam exploding outward as heat met cold.
Ice coated the giant’s charred body in seconds. Cracks spread across its surface as frozen flesh contracted violently. The tendrils slowed down, then gradually stiffened, their movements growing erratic under the sudden thermal shock.
Within moments, the enclosed space was filled with swirling snow, ice shards, and freezing mist.
The sudden transition from intense fire to extreme cold violently stressed the giant’s body. Its regenerated flesh cracked, hardened, and partially shattered. Ice froze its joints, tendrils, and connective masses, slowing it down and locking parts of its body in place.
Adam had finally managed to disrupt the creature’s regeneration!
Fire forced exposure and overextension of regeneration. Ice locked the damage in place. When used together, the resulting magic denied any recovery.
Adam aimed his hand at the giant’s head, ready to cast his final spell.
It was a simple spell, but very effective. And just by raising the output of mana, he elevated the level of the spell.

Spheres of pure mana streaked from Adam’s palm with deadly accuracy. They then slammed directly into the giant.
The giant convulsed as the missiles detonated one after another. Cracks appeared across its corrupted flesh. The regenerated tendrils shriveled and failed to reform.
As the final volley struck, the giant shuddered one final time. It collapsed inward, its massive body breaking apart into ash, blackened fragments, and fading mana.
Adam finished displaying his grand arcane might.
The battlefield fell silent.
Adam had slain the corrupted giant.
But the threat was not over yet.
As he extended his senses outward, he detected countless other corrupted creatures nearby.
All drawn by the violence of the battle!
