After purchasing the car, the couple went to the mall and then watched a movie. At night, Chu Xian began to pay his husband tax, and after an entire day spent together, Xiao Ying kissed Chu Xian lightly with a satisfied smile and fell asleep in his arms.

The next day, Chu Xian would begin filming again, but although he had taken a break, the internet battle between Duan Ke and Feng Huo had not.

Since Duan Ke had already burned all bridges between Feng Huo and himself, he completely ignored Feng Quo’s background and typed out all kinds of insults and accusations, but in the end he ultimately took more than he gave, after all he basically did not have a fan base at all. If he didn’t have Yan Wenwen’s fans helping him along, he would really have had to cry.

“Today’s scene will be the last scene. Liven up, people. After today, we’ll be pretty much ready to ship the reels off to the theatre.” After thirty three days of filming, Duan Ke announced that there current scene was the final shoot for the film.

Chu Xian and the others nodded, small smiles on their faces. After they completed this, a huge weight would be off their chest.

“Alright, Chu Xian and Wenwen get ready.” Duan Ke called over to them.

At the end of the movie, the main character’s aquarium store was opened and his career was beginning to take off. He was happily together with the main girl, and they would end with a kiss.

They had already filmed all the scenes at the aquarium store and now they were at the very end, with only some dialogue and the kiss scene remaining.

Duan Ke had already told them that they could just fake the kiss, and everything was very easy and undemanding. After a month of acting, even Chu Xian had no problems.

“Action!”

Duan Ke called out loudly, and the camera focused on Chu Xian and Yan Wenwen.

“I love you. Please marry me!” Chu Xian spoke.

Yan Wenwen’s eyes were filled with happy tears, and she nodded seriously in agreement.

Happy love covered Chu XIan’s face, and he slowly leaned in, bringing his mouth close for the fake kiss.

But to his astonishment, Yan Wenwen directly leaned in and kissed him.

Chu Xian’s eyes fell open in astonishment as warm, moist lips covered his.

Duan Ke, Yan Zekun, Ren Penghui and the others were all stunned.

When he watched the edited film, Chu Xian could only think back to that final scene and helplessly shake his head.

It had already been five days since that last shoot, and the aquarium store was pretty much ready. If he wanted to, he could open the store in two days.

At his office in the Jing Hai headquarters, Chu Xian looked out his window at the world outside and felt happy.

“Yi? Big Brother Hong is calling me?” Chu Xian heard his phone ringing, and picked it up curiously.

“Hey, Xiao Xian, where are you right now? Are you busy? If you’re free, come to Jing Hai with me.” As soon as Chu Xian picked up the phone, Hong Chenghai shot out a series of questions.

“What’s up, big brother Hong? I’m already in Jing Hai.” Chu Xian replied with some confusion, sensing Hong Chenghai’s urgency.

“You’re in Jing Hai? Great, I’ll come pick you up right away. Someone wants to meet us, and wants to thank you. Is your afternoon free? I’ll be there right away.”

Chu Xian was confused by the rapid fire questions and replied curiously, “What’s up, big brother Hong? Did something happen? Who wants to thank me?”

“We’ll talke about it when I get to Jing Hai. This is a really good thing for both you and me.” Hong Chenghai replied excitedly.

“En?” Chu Xian only grew more confused, but soon a peculiar moment in recent memory crossed his mind and he seemed to remember something.

“Alright, big brother Hong. I’ll pick you up at the airport.

Chu Xian thought deeply, and about an hour later drove over to the airport.

Hong Chenghai came alone, without his secretary.

“Big Brother Hong, is this because of the submarine matter?” When they were both on the car, Chu Xian directly broached the topic.

Hong Chenghai lit a cigarette and nodded. “That’s right, it’s about the submarine, but this time it wasn’t any normal submarine, but a nuclear one.”

“This matter should stay between us. This time there’s an important figure who wants to thank us.”

“The nuclear submarine you found last time is a new technology, and something went wrong while they were experimenting. The crew lost control of the machinery, and dropped out of contact. If you hadn’t found them, the people inside would have died.”

“So the people inside the submarine want to thank us?” Chu Xian asked after some thought.

“That’s right. There were some researchers from the National Institute inside. They’d designed the boat and were inside recording data, and they were accompanied by some important figures from the navy.”

“Xiao Xian, you know, after you told me about this matter, I passed it along to one of my former supervisors*, and when they reported it up the ladder, the navy confirmed our find and were very grateful. I got a lot of good things out of this.” Hong Chenghai said excitedly.

“What? Is brother Hong getting a promotion?” Chu Xian smiled and asked.

“That’s right!” Hong Chenghai nodded and excitedly continued. “I was lined up for a promotion soon anyway, but now I’m jumping up two rungs in one go.”

Chu Xian was surprised, and smiled happily. “Then I’ll have to congratulate you, Brother Hong.”

“This matter was all you, Xiao Xian, you’re really my lucky star. Ever since I met you, my luck has just been better and better.” Hong Chenghai patted Chu Xian’s shoulder and laughed heartily.

The car drove quickly down the roads, and they stopped at a neighborhood designated for naval families.

Soldiers in uniform stood at the entrance, and when the car stopped, they immediately stepped forward to guide them inside the house.

“Gentlemen, please!” A naval soldier saluted them and guided them inside a simply room with an ancient feel to it.

“Please wait here. I will go inform the admirals.”

“Admirals?” Chu Xian paused in astonishment and turned to Hong Chenghai.

Hong Chenghai nodded. “You saved a Rear Admiral from a prestigious navy family, and also two researchers who were awarded the Rear Admiral ranks.” *

Chu Xian was surprised, and looked around with newfound curiosity.

The little room looked like a study, and a couple of tables and couches were positioned near the center of the room. Books were on every surface, and the room did not looked intended to welcome guests.

A book sat on the tea table beside Chu Xian.

“Strange Ocean Creatures. En? How have I never heard of this book?” Chu Xian looked over the cover with some wonder.

Chu Xian picked up the book and flipped through it, and he was shocked by the very first page.

“Giant Creatures of the Deep Sea: Cachalots, Giant Squids, Whale Sharks, Basilosaurus, Coelacanths, Colossal Squids, Pliosaurs, Herring Kings, Spider Crabs, Carcharadon Megalodons…”

“What is this? Is this science fiction?” Chu Xian looked through the names of the creatures with shock.

Creatures like the Cachalots, Giant Squids, Whale Sharks, Crab Spider, and Herring King exited in reality, but what was the Basilosaurus or the Pliosaur or the Carcharadon Megalodon? Weren’t these extinct creatures of long ago?

With this question in mind, Chu Xian skipped over the table of contents and flipped through the later pages.

“The Basilosaur, also known as the Emperor of Lizards and thought to be the ancestor of whales, lived in the Eocene Period between 45 million to 35 million BC. Their average size is unknown, though the Hailong Submarine has recorded an encounter with a 25 meter long Basilosaur 8000 meters under sea level. The creature had a crocodile’s mouth with teeth half a meter long, a very long tail, and showed extreme aggression, attacking the Hailong Submarine. Estimating biting force: five to eight tons.”

“The Pliosaur, thought to have lived in the Late Jurassic Period. These huge predators prey on fish, squid, and other marine reptiles. Before Pliosars gained their scientific name, they were thought to be demons. The Pliosaur is thought to be advanced predators that lived in the Jurassic Period between 200 million to 145 million BC. The Abyss Explorer sent back an encounter with a Pliosaur while it was attacking a Giant Squid. Estimated size was 18 meters in length. Abyss Explorer destroyed in action. No other recorded data!”

“The Carcharodon Megalodon…”

As Chu Xian flipped through the pages, he was more and more astonished. Blurry pictures marked each of the introductions.

“This isn’t science fiction, but a real record.”

Great shock rolled through Chu XIan’s heart. These legendary extinct creatures still survived in the ocean! This was an extremely terrifying discovery.

“But, I shouldn’t be this shocked.” Very quickly, Chu Xian calmed himself and though back to his understanding of the ocean.

The great oceans that separated the continents of earth took up about 360 million square kilometers in surface area, 71% of earth’s surface, and in modern times, humans had only explored 5% of the sea bottom, with the rest of the waters completely unexplored.”

“360 million square kilometers, and humans had only touched five percent of it! The rest of the space was completely foreign to man’s knowledge.”

“And the biggest land walking creature is the African elephant, and the adults are already around eight meters. It’s not too strange that there are many large creatures in the ocean.”

“People think that these creatures have gone extinct because mankind has not discovered them, but that does not mean they are truly extinct.

“And so, it’s perfectly ordinary that the legendary Pliosar, Carcharodon Megaladon, and the Basilosaur have not truly gone extinct.

“There might even be Dunkleosteus surviving in the depths of the sea.”

As he though back to the ocean, Chu Xian remembered a science reading that he’d looked at before.

Some scientists had simulated that beneath the land layers of the earth’s stratum, there might exist a watery ocean that reached 1000 kilometers into the earth’s core.

This layer of water might contain 5 times as much water as that of the ocean, which could mean that 1000 kilometers beneath our feet lies a secret ocean.

Water is the origin of life, and whether this meant that there are creatures hidden away deep under water, nobody knows.
