Bang!

Muscle Lantern’s fist slammed into the humanoid cat, surprised to see his attack getting blocked as a humanoid dog made an appearance, having grabbed hold of his punching arm.

Just when Muscle Lantern was about to attack the newcomer, his eyes widened in surprise to stare at a camera in the opponent’s hand, one that flashed to click their picture.

Highlighted in the frame were the figures of Muscle Lantern and his wife, Pink Jail. Moreover, held in her hands were their suits, highlighted clearly. The fact that the suits of both Muscle Lantern and Pink Jail were in her hands was a blatant reveal of their identities.

If this picture were to get leaked to the media, things would become turbulent. They would have to face the consequences. Jailtime was the least of their concerns. Their children would have to live with a negative stigma, branded as children of thieves that cheated the money of the people for their selfish desires.

“You bastard!” Pink Jail grunted in anger and rushed at the humanoid dog, intending to steal the camera when suddenly, she shouted in despair, “No!”

After all, the camera turned into a starlight stream and vanished from view.

“Where is it?” She grabbed hold of the humanoid dog, stuffing air in its body to threaten it, “Tell me, or you’ll die!”

“You should know by now…” The humanoid dog ignored her and faced Muscle Lantern, “I’m a fragment of the Contained Villain. My death is of no consequence.”

“What do you want?” Muscle Lantern asked, controlling his anger.

“Your loyalty,” The humanoid dog said, flinching when Muscle Lantern crushed its head. But a second later, it reformed its head to speak again, “I need you to support the Contained Villain.”

“Are you mad?” Muscle Lantern stared at the humanoid dog like it lacked brain cells for proposing such a foolish notion, “You wouldn’t bring up such a suggestion if you had faced the Genesis Hero.”

“This world…” He said solemnly, “When I met her once, I felt that this world was under her absolute control.”

“Wow, such a wise guy,” The humanoid dog clapped in sarcastic praise, “Why bring up something I know already?”

“I’ve been alive for longer than you, brat.” The humanoid dog said before staring at the couple, “By aligning with the Contained Villain, I’m not suggesting you betray the Genesis Hero. We’re actually on her side.”

“Haah…” Muscle Lantern let out a long breath of air before taking a seat on the sofa to say in exhaustion, “Now, why don’t you tell me that the Contained Villain is actually the Genesis Hero’s father?”

“As if I would believe such a ridiculous…”

“It’s true.” The humanoid dog nodded in all seriousness, “The Genesis Hero is the Contained Villain’s daughter, or at least, one of her is.”

“What…do you mean by that?” Pink Jail asked, motioning for her husband to remain silent as she observed the humanoid cat, one that remained in the same spot as before, showing no signs of recovering.

“Just imagine it as if there are multiple personalities within the Genesis Hero. One of them is the original while the rest are plaguing her body due to a mistake of the past by the Contained Villain.” The humanoid dog said before placing its hand on the humanoid cat’s head, inserting some Mental Strength into the other party to transform it into a toy cat.

It threw the toy cat towards Muscle Lantern, saying, “The false entity controlling the Genesis Hero is planning an invasion in six months. If it happens, your world is finished. I’ll give you two days to make your decision.”

“Either you contact us through the cat or kill it. Your actions would display your stance on the matter.” Saying so, the humanoid dog transformed into a starlight stream to vanish.

“Wait, what invasion? Where are we invading?” Muscle Lantern shouted in a hurry before slamming the table in anger, “Just what the heck was that?”

“Dear, they have our picture with the suit.” Pink Jail said in worry. “They’ll be able to blackmail us with that.”

In response, Muscle Lantern only stared at the cat doll, “Something tells me that threatening us is the last of their plan. They’ve left a fragment here. It seems we need to rethink our plans.”

The humanoid dog arrived at a secluded alley before landing on the ground, stumbling in exhaustion before its appearance rapidly morphed, becoming a human woman with long, braided hair.

It was Gehera.

Currently, she donned armour that caused others to gloss over her existence, walking into the street to join the pedestrians, and continuing to walk while observing the stalls situated behind glass walls.

‘This world has developed tremendously as compared to seventy-five years ago.’ She thought before entering an apartment, boarding the lift to press the button leading to the topmost floor.

“Phew, the lift arrived just on time.” A man muttered as he entered the lift, noticing the button to the topmost floor being pressed already. He looked around, unable to see anyone else, muttering in irritation, “Did some brat play a prank again?”

“No, I’m here.” Gehera retorted and slapped the back of his head. But, despite his head bobbing in response to the attack, the man didn’t seem to have felt it, or more like his mind glossed over the action.

He alighted at his respective floor as Gehera made an ugly face at him before watching the lift take her to the topmost floor, a penthouse that took up the entire floor area of the top floor, a large enough space to accommodate eight houses on the bottom floors.

She opened the door and entered the house, staring at a couch potato in the living room, one that stared at the wall-length TV with a blank expression. No, it wasn’t a couch potato but Truck-Kun that had become one due to a lack of exercise for extended periods.

Gehera threw her handbag at Truck-Kun, watching in irritation as the other party didn’t even bother to dodge and simply received the attack with his face.

“Kekekekeke!” She was just about to chide him when a burst of maniacal laughter resounded from the kitchen.

There, a youth slashed a brinjal into a hundred pieces in an instant when suddenly, a dozen projections of him manifested to cook. But not all were wholeheartedly cooking as the majority of the group was intent to disrupt the process, making a mess in the kitchen.

Gehera extended her hand and grabbed the disruptive ones by the neck, stealing their power as she caused them to vanish, ignoring the ones laughing maniacally as she entered the store room, coughing once upon seeing it laden with dust, “I was just away for a week. How did so much dust accumulate here?”

Covering her nose, Gehera walked past piles of items casually strewn around into various piles, looking around before she ruffled one of them, finding a sphere at the bottom, wiping the dust on it to speak, “Stencil is making a move in six months.”

“So, it’s time.” A mouth protruded out of the sphere to state with a raspy voice, “I can begin moving, then.”
