Chapter 872: Two Teams, Two Missions

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

Compass Carburettor still maintained a Dreamland himself. And of course, at the centre, housing his soul was the Invoked Spirit. But after the changes, it would be wrong to just call it an Invoked Spirit.

It housed his concept regarding Dreamcraft. But of course, it was still incomplete.

Compass Carburettor still needed to feed it more of his personal life experience. Moreover, the experience of everyone living in the Dreamland was also being fed into it. Eventually, once it was fully completed, his preparations would be complete and he could truly begin his hunt for Systems.

But of course, Dreamcraft only formed the core of his ability. He still had other means to fight, watching the Invader’s face scrunch up in fear as its body moved as slowly as a turtle.

Time seemed to have slowed down for the Invader whose body was moving slowly. But in truth, it was thanks to the power of transmigration that Compass Carburettor had employed around him.

Every instant, as the Invader moved forward by one millimetre, its body was transmigrated to a position 0.99999 millimetres back, making it seem like it hadn’t budged. Millimetre was just an example. But the same thing was happening at a microscopic level to an extent it seemed like time had slowed down for the Invader.

Compass Carburettor then walked forward and gently placed his hand on the Invader’s hammer, rupturing it down to the atomic level.

Following that, he pointed a finger at the tentacled creature under it, unleashing a beam of radiation at it.

Nuclear Radiation!

It would kill the cells of any living being. But, his nuclear power wasn’t sourced from Earth, but from the battlefield that was a cluster combo fusion of abilities unleashed by Zaira, Immortal, and other peak entities, with destruction being their primary objective.

And he had transformed that into a nuclear power, taking the concept from Earth to the extreme in this setting with the help of Tell-Tale, turning it universal, capable of affecting any energy being, including a System.

The radiation slammed into the tentacled creature as its body rotted in an instant before collapsing into a puddle. And, this puddle continued to emit radiation that affected the Invader, turning it into a puddle too.

“That was quick,” Compass Carburettor hurriedly retracted the radiation, frowning to see a large patch of the barrier being severely damaged in response, “Indeed, this doesn’t differentiate allies or enemies but affected everyone…”

He stared at his hand to see it rot, “Including me, huh.”

He flicked his hand as tiny flames sparked before the rot vanished. His hands were pristine once again. Unless ignited to cause a reaction, radiation wouldn’t be produced.

It was as if Compass Carburettor was carrying uranium in its base state with him. And when he wishes to attack, he would make it enter the excited state to unleash the radiation, one that affected everyone, friend or foe, including himself.

A truly destructive power!

Thankfully, he was able to absorb the radiation and convert it back into its base state. Otherwise, his small experiment would have melted through the barrier and harmed countless natives of the Hero World.

Now that he was done with the Five Star Invader, Compass Carburettor looked around, noticing a trembling sea of Invaders running away in fear, avoiding his gaze. “Do you want me to wipe this place clean?”

“Forget it, uncle.” Stencil’s voice resounded nearby, “They are a valuable whetstone.”

“Alright,” Nodding in response, Compass Carburettor knocked on the barrier twice, observing a tiny hole form on it as he smiled, transformed into a beam of sunlight and passed through it.

He arrived at the Nampur Hero Academy, holding a cup of tea in his hand as he walked through the corridor, acting as if he had gone out to buy some tea. His face sported a smile as he entered his next class.

Gunmetal Gold World!

An eternally darkness-ridden world with cityscapes filled by steam punkish skyscrapers. Smoke and unclean oil were present everywhere in this dusty concrete world. In one part of a city, shielded by a mysterious power was the aircraft, coming without garnering any attention towards itself.

The aircraft landed on the surface of a massive building, amidst pipes strewn around. The hatch opened as Platinum Head exited it, leading a team of two S-Class and 4 A-Class Heroes. The remainder stayed within the aircraft.

“Begin gathering all the data of this place.” Platinum Head said.

“On it!” An S-Class Hero nodded in response before placing his hand on the dragon plushie nearby, gently seeping in his power before creating a formless energy that he seeped into the building, extracting it a second later.

A projection formed before him, a 3D-mapped image of the building. He spun it, pointing at various locations to say, “The Invaders here are only One-Star. The head of this place is currently in a room on the seventh floor. He’s the sole Two-Star Invader in this place.”

“I’ve shared the information with the other dragon,” Saying so, the S-Class Hero saluted in response, “I’ll continue to extract more information about this place.”

“Alright,” Platinum Head nodded as he looked at the dragon plushie, “Take care of them.”

“You needn’t worry,” The dragon plushie winked in response, “I might only be a clone, but I’m versatile enough to keep this place hidden from the radar of the Invaders.”

‘And the peak powers created by the Invader System.’ It thought but didn’t say it out loud. Of course, Platinum Head too was able to infer that information, confident as he led his team of six and headed to the door nearby, accompanied by the second dragon plushie.

Their goal was to operate as two teams from the start. And hence, bringing two dragon plushies was enough.

“Ready?” He took in a deep breath before staring at his team, eyeing the suitcases carried by the A-Class Heroes. Upon seeing them nod in response, he touched the door, turning it into platinum as it wriggled like water, parting way to allow them entry.

The team entered the topmost floor, hiding behind a messy array of tools as Platinum Head stared forth, watching two Invaders strolling about in the corridor. He flashed two fingers at an A-Class Hero who immediately brought out two chokers from his suitcase.

“Follow my lead,” Platinum Head whispered as he grabbed the two chokers and melted into a pool of platinum, one that slithered on the floor around the edges and slowly arrived near an Invader.
