Chapter 2472: Movie Watching with Kaori

Since it had originally only been meant as a brief visit, a short meet-and-greet of sorts, after chatting casually for a while, Kaito and Kaori thanked Chris and took their leave.

After seeing the two of them off, Chris returned to her office, checked the clock, and confirmed that she still had a bit of leeway before her next meeting. With that confirmed, she let her thoughts wander.

Naturally, what occupied her mind was the tea party being hosted by Kaito. At present, no concrete schedule has been decided yet; the date and time would be announced later. Taking that into account, Chris decided to leave some flexible room in her schedule for the foreseeable future. She roughly adjusted her plans in her head, then jotted them down in the memo at her desk.

(Since this involves Miyama-sama, and the benefits to the nation are simply too great, adjusting my schedule itself wont be an issue. Honestly, I could probably make it work even if they said it was the very next day, but considering things like a party held aboard a ship, they should allow for a certain amount of preparation time In that case, assuming itll be held around next month seems reasonable.)

At this point, Kaito already seemed to have firmly decided on holding the event itself. Once he began reaching out to potential participants and waiting for the final number to be set, preparation would inevitably take some time.

That said, when it came to preparations, Kaito had the overwhelmingly capable Canalis on his side. Because of that, the next month estimate was based on the assumption that only the period up to deciding the participants would take time, while the actual preparations would be finished almost instantly or at most in a few days.

(As for the participants Miyama-sama might invite on a whim, its hard to predict but once the number exceeds ten, it becomes possible to anticipate who he might approach next. When a certain number has already gathered and he starts wondering whom else to invite given the nature of a tea party, the first people to come to mind would naturally be those who enjoy black tea.)

As expected of someone called the Wise Emperor, Chris possessed both keen intellect and flexible thinking. Taking into account the information currently available, as well as Kaitos personality, she began simulating the list of participants for the tea party.

(Among Miyama-samas acquaintances, the ones who stand out as particularly fond of tea would be Ein-sama and Jutia-sama but Ein-sama will probably not participate. She has an extremely strong fixation on being a maid, so she would happily take part if it were as part of the serving staff, but she would dislike attending as a guest. Miyama-sama surely understands that, and he wouldnt invite Ein-sama knowing shed be reluctant. On the other hand, the chances of Jutia-sama participating are quite high. She openly declares herself a fan of Nifty, and her relationship with Miyama-sama is good, if invited, she would undoubtedly accept.)

Chris reading was spot-on. Jutias favorability towards Kaito was quite high, and even outside the context of a tea party, if Kaito invited her to anything at all, she would almost certainly accept without hesitation. If invited, her participation was all but guaranteed.

Another tea enthusiast would be Sieglinde, but Sieglinde would likely refuse to take part in a gathering where influential figures were seated side by side. Instead, it could be expected that she would remain in the rear as Lilias bodyguard.

(As for the other rulers of the Human Realm of course, as in my own case, theres always the possibility of running into Miyama-sama by chance and being invited, so its not zero, but aside from that, the likelihood of them being invited is low. Regarding His Majesty Ryze, its unlikely that Miyama-sama would even consider him when thinking of candidates. Rather, the one who might come to his mind would be Prince Orchid, whom he is on friendly terms with. However, Prince Orchid would probably decline even if invited. In his case, appearing to hold more authority than Princess Amalie, the crown princess, could become the seed of a succession dispute, so he would avoid that. In fact, although he gets along well with Miyama-sama, he always seems careful to maintain an appropriate sense of distance, and he would not participate while leaving Princess Amalie out.)

From there, Chris thoughts shifted to other figures of power and high standing. In this area, there was always the chance that Kaito might invite someone on a whim, so she gave it some consideration, but she felt that most of the individuals who came to mind had rather low chances of actually being invited.

(As for Her Majesty Laguna, she doesnt particularly like tea to begin with, so the chances of Miyama-sama extending an invitation are low. As for the Supreme Gods of the God Realm, they would feel ill at ease sharing a table with Shallow Vernal-sama, so the likelihood of their participation is also low. As for the Goddess of Fate since she is his lover, there is a chance that the Goddess of Fate might be invited, but that one tends to find such gatherings troublesome. More likely, she would promise to have tea with him separately and either not participate in the tea party at all or opt to assist Shallow Vernal-sama instead.)

Her reading regarding the Gods was also quite accurate. In reality, Fate would very likely consider a tea party to be a hassle, and if she were to have tea with Kaito, she would much rather enjoy it alone with him. As such, she would not participate.

(As for the Six Kings other than Kuromu-sama and Alice-sama World King-sama does not consume anything other than water. A tea party is not the sort of setting War King-sama would enjoy. Dragon King-sama though, he might participate if invited. As for Death King-sama I wonder? With Lady Eris and myself present, the issue of the magic power of death would come into play. But with figures such as Shallow Vernal-sama, Makina-sama, and Canalis-sama present, it might be possible to suppress it by some means and in that case, participation might be possible)

At this point in time, Isis had already received an item from Canalis during Kaitos birthday party that could suppress the magic power of death. However, since Chris was unaware of the existence of that bracelet, she assumed that Isis might also participate if the issue of her magic power of death could be resolved.

Having thought that far, the time for her next meeting drew near. Chris cut off her train of thought, rose from her seat, and headed for the conference room.

Incidentally her failure to account for the Otherworld Gods besides Makina would later come back to her in the form of a stomachache.
