Chapter 2559: A Conversation About the Tea Party ~ ~ The One with Stomachache ~ ~

With Eris-sans suggestion, we decided to have lunch together and were now heading toward the restaurant she had originally planned to visit.

To be honest, Id been a bit lost about where to go, so it was genuinely helpful that she made the suggestion. Or rather, if I were being honest with myself, I had also been thinking about inviting Eris-san to lunch, but I wasnt sure if it was right to keep imposing on her time like that.

We hadnt originally made any plans to meet up. It had been a chance encounter in the city, and I ended up asking her to accompany me to try out the gym.

At the time, she said shed been planning to go for a walk anyway, so it wasnt a problem. But even so, she must have had places she originally intended to visit, and thinking about that made me feel guilty about continuing to drag her around for my convenience.

Eris-san was kind, so she probably would have agreed if I had invited her. But precisely because of that, I hesitated, since there was a good chance she would go along with my suggestion even if it inconvenienced her.

And so, her initiative in bringing it up herself was truly a relief. Eris-san was really good at conversation, she had a wide range of topics she could draw from, and talking with her was genuinely enjoyable. I had also been hoping to talk with her a bit more, so it felt like perfect timing.

[Hehh, I see. I heard that the Archlesia Empire has strong noble influence, so I assumed theyd produce a lot of wines that nobles would particularly like.]

[As for agricultural products in the region, the Symphonia Kingdom is superior. Nobles tend to be fond of showing off, so some of them take pride in importing expensive, high-quality wines from other countries as a kind of status symbol. Also, there are many dwarves in the Archlesia Empire, so demand for stronger alcoholic drinks is higher than for wine. That may be another factor.]

Eris-san herself was extremely knowledgeable, but more than that, she was skilled at explaining things in a way I could easily understand. She often used examples I was already familiar with, which made everything much clearer.

Probably, since I had set up a stall near a dwarven shop during the Archlesia Empires Founding Festival before, she chose fire liquor as a relatable example this time.

The fact that she did things like that so naturally really showed how good she was at conversation.

[I tried some of the products sold in dwarves stalls too. It really was strong liquor.]

[You drank it? Thats impressive I only tried a little before, but even a few sips gave me a headache.]

[I have Shiro-sans Blessing, so I can nullify intoxication. Im not sure about Provisional Blessing, but I feel like Life-sans Blessing might be able to do something similar. Its probably related to a Supreme Gods effect of completely nullifying abnormal conditions]

[I see. So you treat drunkenness as an abnormal status and alcohol as a toxin, and block it that way. Yes, in that case, it might be possible depending on ones interpretation. Thats useful information. Ill try it next time.]

[Are you not good with alcohol, Eris-san?]

[Its not that I dislike the taste perhaps its more accurate to say I dislike being drunk. I dont like the sensation of my thinking becoming dull, so I dont drink much. When I think about the possibility of making poor decisions while impaired it makes me uneasy. I suppose I may be a bit overly cautious]

[No, I think its kind of cool, youre really disciplined.]

[Fufu, thank you. Its truly wonderful how you naturally consider my feelings like that, Kaito-sama.]

It wasnt just politeness, I could tell she meant it sincerely. That only made her personality shine through even more and honestly, talking with her really was fun.

Just like that, Eris-san and I continued chatting casually while making our way toward the restaurant.

While Kaito and Eris-san were enjoying their conversation on the way to a restaurant, a certain presence had arrived at the gym that Magnawell was inspecting.

[Ou, Magnawell! Im here!]

[Unn? What, you were invited too?]

[Yeah. A gym got built in my city by Nidzveld too, so I came to check out the Human Realms one as well. Well, as expected from something that guy came up with, its a pretty good facility. Its not really built for someone of my strength, but its great for training my subordinates.]

[I see, Im glad its been well received though, coming here at this time is a shame. Miyama Kaito was here just a moment ago]

[What!? Kaito was here? Tch, thats bad timing I cant track Kaitos magic power with Wide Area Detection, so I cant find him what a pity.]

Hearing Magnawells words, Megiddo lamented missing Kaito. At that moment, Namir, who was nearby, spoke up.

[Big Bro went out with his girlfriend, so if you can track her magic power, you might be able to pick them up.]

[Unn? Eris Dia Hamilton is Miyama Kaitos girlfriend?]

In principle, Kaito had properly told Namir that Eris was not his girlfriend, but a close friend. However, from Namirs perspective, the two seemed quite close, and going as far as training together made it feel like a fairly intimate relationship, leaving him uncertain.

[Well, whatever Magnawell, before we go tour the gym, how about grabbing a quick meal?]

[Lets see oh, right. Lets go to Kaoris place!]

[Thats the otherworlders restaurant you mentioned before? I was planning to have Kaito introduce me to it though]

[I know Kaori too, so I can introduce you just fine. You can just have Kaito take you there another time.]

[Fumu, I suppose that works Lets go then.]

Megiddo, being the type who doesnt worry about details, casually decided to head to Kaoris restaurant. Magnawell agreed, thinking an introduction via Megiddo was fine. And so, a situation that could only be described as unfortunate for Kaori was set in motion and Alices clone, who had been watching from a bench while sipping wine, paused mid-sip and made a face that seemed to say Wait, its headed that way?.

Stomachache Devil : [Unforgivable you put stomachache in the title and then made it a wholesome development Im going to give you stomachache.]

Lilia : [This is bad, Eris-san!]

Eris : [Kuh!]

Kaori : [Being a noble sure is tough]

Stomachache Devil : [Im definitely making you have this stomachache Mizuhara Kaori!]

Kaori : [Fwa!?!?]
