Chapter 2576: Demon Realm Amusement Park

We were heading through the Aqua Area toward Dragon Adventure, but somehow, this area felt far more massive than Id imagined.

The entrance had been built on slightly elevated ground, giving a wide-open view, though even then it wasnt possible to grasp the entire area. Still, I could spot the rocky mountain that was presumably where Dragon Adventure was located, and I could also clearly see the defining features of the Aqua Area: rocky terrain on one side and the sea on the other.

So I figured all we had to do was head toward the rocky mountain in the center of the area that served as our landmark, but after walking down the gentle slope for a while and entering the rocky region, I noticed something strange.

It was huge. The rocks were so enormous they practically qualified as cliffs. The paths were broad and designed to keep the view open, and there were guide signs placed everywhere, so it didnt feel cramped or oppressive but still, with towering rock walls rising on both sides of the road, the sheer scale was overwhelming.

Those rock walls werent just empty cliffs either. Some sections housed souvenir and goods shops, others had snack stands, so the space was being put to good use but that wasnt the issue.

The issue was that, from the entrance, these rocky pathways had looked much smaller. The elevated entrance had probably been designed to provide a long-distance view, which slightly distorted the sense of perspective, but I hadnt expected the difference in impression to be this extreme once we actually got here.

[Aoi-chan, Hina-chan. Unless Im imagining things isnt that rocky mountain way bigger than we expected?]

[Its probably unbelievably huge. It already looks massive even from this distance, but weve been walking for quite a while and it doesnt feel like weve gotten any closer at all.]

[I think we may have had preconceived notions going in. Since we know amusement parks, we unconsciously imagined something like the rocky mountain used for a typical splash coaster, but honestly, this feels about five times bigger than what we had in mind.]

Just as Aoi-chan said, wed definitely been walking for a while, yet the distance to the mountain didnt feel any shorter, and as Hina-chan said, it honestly felt several times larger than what wed originally imagined.

[At this point, well, I already had a rough idea from seeing how wide the place was, but moving around here is going to take a lot of time]

[Yes. Thats exactly why you should use the Fast Road over there.]

[Alice? Fast Road you mean that path with the railings?]

Right when I was once again realizing just how absurdly enormous the amusement park was and thinking travel alone would take forever, I heard Alices voice behind me.

Following her prompting, I turned my gaze and saw a pathway separated by railings, completely different from the ordinary walkways, with gates, or something like entrances, placed at intervals.

[To put it in very simple terms, it uses the same system as the hallway in Kaito-sans house. You can move just by lightly shifting your weight, and if you enter the attraction number from the pamphlet at the entrance, itll automatically take you there.]

[Eh? Thats amazing]

So the Fast Road was basically the same kind of automatic movement magic formula as the hallway in my house. Apparently, you could travel to your desired attraction without even needing to walk.

That would drastically reduce the fatigue from moving around, and there was no risk of getting lost either, making it incredibly convenient.

[H- High-tech I underestimated this place. Since I know amusement parks from my original world, I just kind of assumed the parks back there would naturally have superior technology, but they can even do automated transportation here]

[So basically, the entire amusement park has something like a fast travel system thats insane.]

[Aoi-senpai, whats fast travel?]

[Eh? Wait is that maybe not a commonly used term?]

Fast travel was more of a gaming term. Since Aoi-chan liked games, she used it completely naturally, but Hina-chan, who probably didnt play the kind of games where fast travel systems appeared, tilted her head in confusion.

Well, with this, the transportation problem was basically solved, but something still bothered me, so I decided to ask Alice about it.

[But still, installing an automated transportation system across the entire park and building dedicated pathways for it mustve cost an absurd amount]

[Ahh, its fine. I had Makina help out, so we managed to make it pretty low-cost.]

[You made Makina-san do all the work again, didnt you]

[Thats not true. I just asked a little favor, and she happily agreed to fully cooperate. Besides, the amusement park itself is already packed with technology that doesnt exist in this world yet, so it made sense to have an advisor who properly understands the contract with Shallow Vernal-sama involved. It was a rational decision to avoid future conflicts over interdimensional technology issues.]

She probably talked her into helping again like always. Makina-san was ridiculously gullible when it came to Alice. If Alice put on a serious face and called her best friend or something, shed probably melt instantly and start spoiling her, so I was pretty sure Alice had worked her extremely hard.

Which was probably why the amusement park had ended up several times larger than originally planned

Makina : [No, seriously. If you want to build something on too large a scale, you have to get Shallow Vernals approval first. And if anything conflicts with the contracts already in place, those need to be adjusted too, so its a huge hassle.]

Alice : [For me, amusement parks are places filled with memories of my dear best friend Makina so I dont really want to compromise. I mean, if were going to build one, I want it to be something incredible.]

Makina : [I- It cant be helped then! Its true that amusement parks are a place full of memories for me and Alice too, and I understand wanting to be particular about it! If you put it that way, then as your best friend, theres no way I can refuse to help Leave it to me! Ill help as much as you need!!]

Serious-senpai : [YOURE WAY TOO EASY!]
