Chapter 2588: Demon Realm Amusement Park

The attraction at the Sky Tree was really good. The initial high-speed ascent gave it a thrilling amusement-ride feel, and after that, it let you leisurely take in the entire Forest Area from above.

That sudden climb at the beginning got my adrenaline going and lifted my spirits a bit. Thanks to that, I felt like I ended up enjoying the sightseeing much more enthusiastically than I expected.

The gondola that had completed its circuit around the Forest Area returned to the tree it had departed from, and we stepped out as the attendant opened the gate.

Lilia-sans group should have departed a little later than us, but I had spotted their gondola some distance behind ours while we were touring the Upper Area, so they would probably be back before long.

[That was fun! Wed been riding all those intense attractions in the Aqua Area, so it was nice to have something more relaxing for a change.]

[Next, we just wait for Lilia-sans group and then head to Forest Castle.]

I responded to Hina-chans cheerful smile, then nodded at Aoi-chans confirmation of our schedule. To avoid getting in the way of other guests, we moved outside to wait and before long, we heard a lively commotion approaching.

Looks like another group had arrived. Well, it wouldnt be strange to start running into other invited guests around this time.

[President, why this attraction specifically?]

[Come on, with a name this hilarious, how could we not try it? Though I guess its an Otherworld reference, so you guys wouldnt get it]

[Isnt it just that your explanation is terrible, President?]

A fairly large group came walking toward us, and the person at the front looked familiar no, she was definitely someone I knew. Akane-san was accompanied not only by Frau-san but also several people who appeared to be employees of her trading company. When she noticed us, her eyes widened in surprise.

[Nuohh!? Kaito, Aoi, and Hina Well, I guess Kaito being invited isnt surprising, but running into you here sure is a coincidence.]

[Hello, Akane-san. Were you invited by Kuro too?]

[My company has done business with Kuromu-samas trading company for a long time. Thats how we got invited. She said I could bring as many people as I wanted, so I just brought every employee who looked like they had nothing better to do.]

We exchanged greetings with Akane-san as she approached us. As expected, she had been invited as well.

Come to think of it, shed mentioned that Kuro had helped her when she first established her company, and shed also been invited to the Six Kings Festival. They must have quite a close relationship.

[We already finished riding it. Right now were just waiting for Lilia-sans group, who came with us Ah, actually, Lilia-sans group has just returned, so now were only waiting for Anima and the others.]

As I answered Akane-san, I looked over and saw that Lilia-sans group had indeed returned. Once Anima and the others came back, everyone would be together again.

[I see. Well then, itd be rude to keep you any longer. If fates got anything to say about it, well probably run into each other somewhere again. When that happens, take care of us, alright?]

[Of course. I hope you all enjoy yourselves too, Akane-san.]

Just as Id thought when I visited their headquarters before, the people of the Mikumo Trading Company really seemed to enjoy this sort of banter. They all teased Akane-san relentlessly, and a prominent vein bulged on her forehead.

Then, with her cheeks twitching, she somehow managed to keep a smile on her face as she spoke to us.

[W- Well then, Kaito, you all enjoy yourselves too OI, YOU LOT! Youve really been saying whatever the hell you want, havent you!? And that last one was definitely Frau, wasnt it!? Whats with the fake voice!? Did you seriously think I wouldnt recognize you!?]

After calling out to us with a smile, she then turned toward the trading company employees with an expression that could rival even a hannya.

Serious-senpai : [Ah, if people connected to Kuro or Alice are being invited then maybe Chris is here too? Ah, no, wait a second If were talking about people related to her trading companies then Eris and Cornelia might be possibilities as well]
