Chapter 2602: Demon Realm Amusement Park

For a while, Rosemary continued glaring or rather, watching Cornelia with concern, but eventually turned her gaze back to Eris.

(I really should do something to help, shouldnt I? I cant do it myself, so maybe I should ask Lia)

Just as that thought crossed her mind, someone gently placed a hand on Rosemarys shoulder. She turned around to find Lillie standing close behind her, quietly shaking her head.

A moment later, Lillies voice echoed directly in Rosemarys mind through Telepathy Magic.

(Rosemary, I consider your kindness and consideration to be virtues. However, there are times when they can become an insult. This is not the time to act.)

(Lillie-sama? Errr, do you mean toward Eris?)

(Yes. Naturally, your concerns are valid. While she may be maintaining her composure on the surface, she is certainly experiencing turmoil and intimidation within. I can only read surface thoughts, so she may be suffering even more deeply than I can perceive However, if we carelessly extend a helping hand now, we would only trample upon her resolve.)

While praising Rosemarys kindness and compassion as admirable qualities, Lillie also cautioned her against taking action.

Lillie possessed the ability to read the surface thoughts of others. She had read not only Eriss and Cornelias thoughts but Rosemarys as well, fully understanding what she was thinking before concluding that intervening would be the wrong choice.

(She is a noble. Moreover, because she was already acquainted with all of you, she had resolved herself to speaking directly with Lillywood-sama the moment we met. She is a strong girl. She understands what it means, as a noble, to bear her familys name upon her shoulders. Though shaken inwardly, she refuses to show it, and even now she is conducting herself before Lillywood-sama with remarkable composure. If we were to step in so thoughtlessly, we would only stain the resolve she has shown.)

(I- I see Ive heard that things like honor and pride are important to nobles, so trying to help her might actually end up hurting Eris instead.)

(Indeed. Rather than her I believe the one who truly needs help is the other young lady.)

(Errr that girl over there? Ive never seen her before, but she definitely looks incredibly nervous.)

In truth, the moment Eris encountered Lillywood and the others, she had already expected, and prepared herself, to greet Lillywood personally. As the heir to the Hamilton Marquisdom, she understood that her every word and action reflected directly upon her familys reputation, and she was fully aware of that responsibility.

That was precisely why, even when faced with figures of such overwhelming status that her stomach felt like it was tying itself into knots, she relied on an iron will to conceal every trace of anxiety and distress, maintaining a flawless outward composure.

Perhaps that itself was a nobles pride. If so, then offering her an easy escape would only wound that pride.

Rosemary nodded in understanding, and Lillie, having concluded that Eris would be fine, stated that it was Cornelia who should be helped instead.

(She Cornelia-san is far more shaken than Eris-san. I havent read deeply enough to be certain, but my hypothesis is that although she is also a noble, she is not the heir. Compared to Eris-san, her lack of experience is apparent, and unlike Eris-san, her anxiety is beginning to show not only internally but outwardly as well.)

(Y- Yeah, she really does look so nervous that its painful to watch. Id like to help her, but I- I dont know her, so m- maybe you could help her, Lillie-sama?)

(I have never met her either. If we suddenly approached her now, we would only make her shrink back even further. However, fumu if Lillywood-sama happens to take an interest in her, or if Kaito-san introduces her to us, then there may be nothing we can do about it)

Naturally, there was no way Rosemary could simply strike up a conversation with Cornelia, whom she had only just met. Since Lillie understood the situation, Rosemary looked at her with a silent plea to act in her stead.

However, if one of the Seven Princesses suddenly spoke to Cornelia, it would probably only make her stomach ache even more After wearing a thoughtful expression for a moment, Lillie finally spoke just as the conversation between Lillywood and Eris came to a natural pause.

[Lillywood-sama, I believe its about time we stopped standing here with so many people]

Ahh, youre right. Were blocking the way Kaito-san, if youre all planning to enter that attraction, shall we head over there instead?

[Shes right. If we keep chatting here, well only be in everyones way. Lets move..]

With both Lillywood and Kaito agreeing to Lillies suggestion, everyone decided to move to the nearby Forest Castle. As a result, the situation in which Cornelia would have been introduced to Lillywood was successfully avoided.

(Regardless of what happened today, I do think you should at least become capable of holding a simple conversation with someone youve just met)

Watching the extremely shy Rosemary, Lillie let out a wry smile. And so, Cornelia ended up never greeting Lillywood on this occasion.

And that, in turn, would soon lead to a stomach tragedy.
