Together with Lillywood-san and all of the Seven Princesses, our entire group headed to the Forest Castle. As the name suggested, it really had the appearance of a magnificent castle built entirely of wood.It seemed to blend seamlessly with the enormous trees surrounding it, yet it also possessed an air of nobility and refinement the kind of castle that wouldnt seem at all out of place as Lillywood-sans residence.
Well, Lillywood-san herself doesnt like flashy castle-like buildings, so shed probably never actually live in a place like this. Still, the atmosphere suited her perfectly.
More importantly, our group had grown much larger than Id expected. Our original party of 10 was joined by Fate-san and Fortune-san, Eris-san and Cornelia-san, and finally Lillywood-san together with the Seven Princesses, bringing us to a total of 22 people.
22 people thats a lot. I mean, the Forest Castle is large enough that we can all enter together, but having more than twenty people moving around together in an amusement park is pretty incredible. It almost feels like a school field trip though, come to think of it, my high schools graduation trip was decided by a vote between Hokkaido and Okinawa, and my year went to Hokkaido, so we never visited an amusement park Still, Im pretty sure there are schools that do graduation trips to amusement parks probably.
More importantly, what kind of attraction is this Forest Castle anyway? Judging from the atmosphere, it doesnt seem like its a thrill ride
Thinking that, I stepped inside the building, where I found a spacious hall. Barriers divided the area, and it looked like wed check in before proceeding deeper into the castle.
As I looked around with interest, one of the attendants standing near the entrance approached us.
[Welcome to the Forest Castle. Would you mind if I gave you a brief explanation of the attraction?]

Unn? Arehh? Isnt this attendant Alice in disguise? I didnt really have any proof, but somehow I just had that feeling.
Well, with Fate-san and Lillywood-san here, it would probably be difficult for an ordinary employee to handle things, so maybe she disguised herself to take care of us.
[This attraction, the Forest Castle, challenges guests to solve puzzles and mechanisms hidden throughout each room as they make their way toward the throne room. If you stand on the magic circle in the center over there, you will be randomly divided into several rooms and teleported there. From that point, youll clear each room one by one as you advance.]

[Yes, there wont be any problem. With a group of your size youll be randomly divided into groups of 4 and 5. The challenges are designed so that differences in group size provide little to no advantage or disadvantage, so you neednt worry about that.]

Since Alice was speaking directly to me, I naturally ended up responding on behalf of everyone, but it seemed this attraction was designed to accommodate all of us at once.
The closest comparison would be a much larger-scale version of that attraction in Shiro-sans amusement park where you cleared challenges to advance through different rooms. Though Shiro-sans version focused primarily on romance, this one seemed to revolve around solving puzzles instead more like an escape room, I guess?

[Well, my Authority normally doesnt work on Kai-chan, but if you willingly accept it, then theres no problem. So Im going to use my Authority to make sure you and I get assigned to the same group, and I want you to consciously accept that Though, with your luck, if you just wish to be in the same group as me, itd probably happen anyway]

Fate-san immediately declared that she was going to cheat the random group assignment with her Authority but when I thought about it calmly, it was probably better for her to be with me.
I mean, Fate-san has matured a lot, so she probably wouldnt treat the people assigned to her group coldly anymore but there was still a good chance shed decide it was too much trouble and stop putting in any effort. And more simply, there were probably people who would be nervous just being in the same group as her.
By that logic, maybe it would be better if Lillywood-san was with me as well? Well, Lillywood-san is kind enough that shed be fine with anyone As for Lilia-san, if nothing influenced the assignment, shed probably end up with a bizarre group, so I silently wished that shed at least get a favorable grouping.
While thinking that over, everyone else agreed as well, so all 22 of us entered the attraction together and made our way to the enormous magic circle in the center.
The staff had mentioned that anyone prone to teleportation sickness should let them know beforehand, but fortunately, no one here had any issues with teleportation.
The magic circle slowly began to glow, and just as I figured wed be teleported at any moment, I happened to catch sight of Cornelia-san out of the corner of my eye.
Come to think of it, because all 22 of us were bunched together in the middle of the walkway, I never got the chance to introduce Cornelia-san to Lillywood-san and the others Maybe after we finish this attraction?
