After a moment of silence I saw the presumed Lilia-sans body disappear as though it were shattering into crystals. I- I won N- No, the presumed Lilia-san had gotten four kills, so in terms of the score, it was overwhelmingly a victory for her, but at least I had managed to get one back.

At least now I could face the four people who had spontaneously teamed up with me before scattering.

That said, she was seriously monstrously strong. To put it bluntly, a large part of my victory was thanks to luck. The reason was that the firefight just now hadnt been an even fight. And that was precisely why the presumed Lilia-san had forced her way toward me.

You see, when the presumed Lilia-san had been using the walls of the buildings to leap around and snipe me from the air, I had taken a certain amount of damage, but compared to everyone else, I had actually been hit relatively little.

But there was less than a minute left, and if she retreated and managed to get away, I wouldnt have been able to catch up to her. In that case, it was only natural for her to think that rather than retreat, she should attack and aim for one more kill.

After all, she had already gotten four kills, so even if she lost the shootout against me here, or even if we traded kills, it probably wouldnt have mattered much to the presumed Lilia-san.

And yet, even after I had completely caught her off guard and thrown off her stance, the fact that she still managed to land bullets on my body was truly astounding. Fortunately, I had enough durability to withstand anything other than a headshot, so even though both of us took hits, I came out on top and won.

Well, regardless, there wasnt enough time left to look for a new opponent, so I guess thats the end? I think I managed to rack up quite a few kills after the presumed Lilia-san took me out early on But I wonder how I did?

As I was thinking that, large numbers appeared in the air. When the ten-count finished, the surrounding scenery disappeared, leaving everything in darkness, and before long, something resembling a video began floating in front of us.

It showed the rankings for this battle, and it was quite elaborate. The avatars of each character were standing beside their respective rankings, alternating between their original appearances and their helmet-and-rider-suit appearances, so that at the end, you could tell who everyone actually was.

And in first place, as expected, was Lilia-san by an overwhelming margin. So that yellow-and-white combination really had been Lilia-san. However, she had over 50 kills huh. She was so overwhelmingly dominant that it made me wonder if she had been playing an entirely different game from the rest of us.

And somehow, I was in second place. I had 19 kills, while Lilia-san had more than double my score, with the difference coming close to triple. Still, thanks in part to the number of kills I had racked up early on, I had managed to secure a pretty good ranking.

Then, when I looked at everyone elses results as well, we also found out who the other members of the five-person team wed hastily formed at the end had been. The one carrying the bazooka who had used the unorthodox strategy of throwing it was Luna-san, the submachine gun user was Hina-chan, and the other two assault-rifle users besides me had been Theta and Anima.

It seemed Anima had been the one giving the order to retreat partway through.

As I was thinking about that, a message appeared saying You will soon be returned to the original space, and shortly afterward, I was enveloped in brilliant light.

When the light cleared, I could feel the sensation of the mascot costume It seemed we had returned from the VR space to the original location, so I took off the costume, rejoined everyone, and we talked about our impressions of the attraction.
