After the man in black went inside, he closed the hidden door.A moment later, Dan Zhu walked up to the hidden door and pushed it, only to find it wouldn’t budge. Clearly there was a lock on the other side.
Dan Zhu looked at Mo Hua.
Mo Hua glanced at the hidden door, stretched out a finger and tapped the lock. Formation Patterns coiled and twisted, and in no time the door opened by itself.
Dan Zhu and the others were secretly shocked.
Breaking a door is easy, but "opening" it like this without leaving a trace was truly a bit miraculous.
The hidden door swung open. Lugu went first, Chi Feng followed, while Dan Zhu and Mo Hua walked in the rear.
Thus the four of them followed the gloomy stone passage all the way in, walking for at least an hour before finally reaching the end.
At the end stood a large prison.
Inside the prison were many secret chambers, apparently used to confine and torture people. All manner of instruments of punishment were present, everything one could imagine.
Young Master Gongtu and his beautiful concubine had been taken somewhere, but no one knew where.
Mo Hua was just about to spread his Divine Sense for a careful search when he suddenly heard the sobbing and pleas of a woman.
In the dark, deathly still dungeon, that sound was all the more distinct.
They followed the sound to the end of the corridor, to the chamber on the far right.
The other chambers were all cells.
But this chamber was arranged like a "boudoir": red curtains by candlelight, the floor covered with the pelts of Monster Beasts, looking somewhat luxurious.
The room was thick with fragrance.
Mo Hua sniffed and realized the scent actually contained an aphrodisiac component.
He had never used it himself, but back in Canglang City, the lecherous Elder Ji, who had already died, had particularly liked to burn this stuff.
There were three people in the secret chamber at this moment.
Young Master Gongtu had his mouth blocked and was tied off to the side. Only his eyes were wide open, brimming with grief and rage.
His fair, stunning concubine was also bound, pinned to the bed, her clothes being torn off piece by piece.
The one tearing at her clothes was a Barbarian Tribes brute with Golden Core Realm cultivation, bare-chested, face full of delight.
Mo Hua didn’t even need to think to guess that this Barbarian brute had seen the concubine’s beauty in the daylight, had his lust stirred, and so at night ordered men to steal and drag her over.
Only, snatching the woman was one thing—why had he dragged Young Master Gongtu over as well?
By now the woman’s clothes had been torn more than halfway off, revealing a large stretch of snow-white skin.
The Barbarian brute grew even more excited, then suddenly turned his head and glanced at Young Master Gongtu.
Young Master Gongtu seemed unable to bear watching his beloved concubine defiled, and shut his eyes tight, tears leaking from the corners.
Seeing him close his eyes, the Barbarian brute’s expression turned displeased. He strode over, clamped a hand around Gongtu’s throat, and cursed:
"Who told you to close your eyes? Open them and watch with your own damn eyes. If you don’t watch, what’s the point of me doing this?"
The brute went on, "A woman this beautiful has to be enjoyed right in front of her man—see her shame and regret, see her man’s rage and impotence. That’s the only way it’s any fun."
"Keep your eyes open and watch how the woman you love twists and writhes in pleasure."
Young Master Gongtu still kept his eyes shut, unwilling to look.
The Barbarian brute barked, "If you don’t look, I’ll dig out your eyes and then dismember your woman."
Young Master Gongtu could only open his eyes, his face full of fury and pain.
The Barbarian brute’s face twisted into a sinister grin; only then was he satisfied.
Mo Hua’s brows knitted.
The perverts in the Great Wilderness really did play it to the hilt.
Once someone loses all moral bottom line and lets desire run wild, there’s no limit to how twisted they can get.
People often curse others as "animals."
But animals have no brains, and don’t have as many ideas as people.
So once a person turns into an "animal," he’s truly more of an animal than any animal.
Dan Zhu’s face was also full of anger.
Lugu and Chi Feng remained cold and indifferent.
They were all commanders, numb to life and death. On the battlefield, no matter how beautiful the skin, once it’s cut open it’s nothing but bloody rotten flesh.
The scene before them they only found tedious.
The Barbarian brute, however, was utterly intoxicated, tearing more of the woman’s clothes, savoring the concubine’s beauty and pleas, and her man’s helpless pain.
Young Master Gongtu’s eyes were practically bleeding.
Dan Zhu looked again at Mo Hua. He was kind-hearted and clearly didn’t want to stand by and do nothing.
Mo Hua sighed inwardly. If they acted now, it would certainly cause a commotion and trigger some unforeseen changes, but they couldn’t actually watch and let them die.
Mo Hua nodded slightly.
Dan Zhu clenched his palm, controlling Mystic Fire, shaping it into a Fire Chain that wrapped around the Barbarian brute’s neck.
Chi Feng flashed forward and slammed a heavy punch into the back of the brute’s head.
The Barbarian brute felt only a jolt of pain in the back of his skull. Once he realized what had happened, he was instantly enraged.
But he was only at the Initial Golden Core stage, nowhere near a match for Dan Zhu and Chi Feng, and on top of that had been heavily injured by their opening strike. In just a few exchanges he was gravely wounded and collapsed to the ground.
Lugu merely watched with cold eyes, too lazy to lift a hand.
After subduing the Barbarian brute, Dan Zhu took out a robe and draped it over the woman.
Saved, the woman’s eyes filled with tears; she looked on the verge of crying, raising her head to look at Dan Zhu, momentarily dazed.
Mo Hua pointed a finger, undoing the chains on Young Master Gongtu.
Young Master Gongtu was freed, yet he didn’t offer thanks—he only rushed straight to his concubine, wrapping her tightly in his arms, tears streaming as he said:
"Zhu’er, are you alright? It’s my fault, I’m useless, I didn’t protect you."
The woman only pressed her lips together and said nothing.
Seeing this, Mo Hua’s heart was clear as a mirror; inwardly he shook his head.
The battle here had been brief, but with Golden Cores making a move, the fluctuations were powerful.
It quickly drew others’ attention.
Before long another Barbarian Golden Core brute burst in, dressed in brocade robes. Seeing the scene, his face twisted in fury as he shouted:
"Bastards, who are you lot, daring to cause trouble here?!"
Mo Hua hadn’t yet spoken.
Lugu, who had been watching with cold eyes this whole time, suddenly froze, then his expression abruptly changed as he exclaimed, "You?!"
The brocade-robed Barbarian brute caught sight of Lugu and stared blankly for a moment, then sheer terror flooded his face:
"Lord Lugu?! You—how could you..."
Lugu’s gaze was icy, his voice chilling, each word forced out: "The Sibone Tribe was annihilated. You were my elder brother’s subordinate—why are you still alive?"
The Golden Core brute panicked all at once, and without a second thought he turned and fled for his life.
