The nine-headed Relictus observed what had happened, and in the way of beings who had been fighting beside and against each other long enough that certain kinds of communication did not require words, it understood. It found its own letter.

Infinity held... THE First Tongue. The structured language of the Infinite substrate that most beings who cultivated with Infinity accessed through their Civilizations, through their Pulses, through the derived frameworks they built atop Infinity’s foundational truth.
THE First Tongue was widespread. Countless Billions of beings across Existence drew on it in forms they recognized and forms they did not. It was the most commonly accessed language in the arrangement of existence, which was also why it was the language that most beings could only access partially, because a language that belonged to everyone equally belonged deeply to no one.
But.
THE Cognitio Cause knew something about THE First Tongue that the widespread access had obscured. The broad version of the language was not the only version. For beings whose entire existence had been saturated with Infinity so completely, so thoroughly, for so long and with such intentional depth, that the distinction between themselves and the Infinity they carried had become genuinely indistinguishable from the perspective of the Infinity itself, a deeper register of THE First Tongue became accessible.
Not THE First Tongue. THE Infinite Tongue.
The language of Infinity speaking through a being rather than being spoken by one.
Noah’s palm burned against the Cognitio Dreamstone as the comprehension arrived in full.
His entire existence was drenched in Infinity.
