His Primus Apeiron form across the Collapsed Transcendent Conceptual Fold was burning with the same recognition at the same moment. Every body he occupied shook, briefly, in unison!

He had watched Galdr Source beasts deploy Persevere and diminish with each usage, the cost depleting the very reserve the letter was supposed to protect, the tragedy of it being the diminishing return embedded in the mechanism. He had factored this into his understanding of what gaining Persevere would mean for him.
He had not factored his most unique weavings deciding they had opinions about the matter.
His cost was Infinity.
Fucking Infinity!
Eon came toward him across the canopy branch with urgency, her expression carrying the worry of someone who had watched a being they were invested in physically shake without obvious cause.
He was laughing! The private laugh of a being who had just confirmed something about themselves that they had suspected across a very long climb and had now received empirical validation of, the laugh that came from genuine amusement rather than performance.
He looked at her.
"I’m fine," he said. "I’m very fine."
He looked at his hands, still burning faintly with the residual multicolored flames of the first utterance.
He had always paid for everything with Infinity.
Why would THE Primordial Tongue be different?
Some moments in a journey were simply different from the others.
He had learned to recognize them without inflating them, because inflation was the enemy of continued movement, and continued movement was the only thing that produced the next moment. But recognition was not inflation. A being who could not identify when something genuinely significant had happened was as lost as a being who could not move past the significance once identified.
Infinity had always been the foundation. The number one factor that allowed him to outclass existences who had been alive for millions or billions of years, who had cultivated across spans of time that made his own span look like an afternoon. They had time. He had Infinity in quantities and expressions that their cultivated frameworks had never produced, and the gap between those two resources, in practice, had always resolved in his favor!
The Infiniverse was the second factor. A floating land mass blooming into an Observable Existence, Primordial Realms pushing upward through its substrate, Miniature Infinite Causes accelerating its development toward something that would rival the arrangements that had taken eons to produce. Nobody else had this. Nobody else had conceived of it!
It existed because he had looked at what was available to him and decided to make something that had not existed before, which was, when he examined the pattern honestly, how most of his significant capabilities had arrived.
There had been moments in the climb that steered everything afterward. Each one had opened a territory that the territory preceding it had not made visible.
Touching a component of THE Primordial Source, which at this moment meant a single letter of THE Primordial Tongue, felt like one of those moments.
Not because of what Persevere itself could do, though what it could do was not small. Because of the cost. Because the power had a cost, and his existence had looked at the cost and redirected it to something literally infinite, and what that implied about the relationship between his existence and THE Primordial Tongue had not yet finished revealing itself.
He wanted to find out how far the implication extended.

The multicolored flames rose again, billowing outward from his Galdr Source through his existence with the comprehensive warmth of a letter doing exactly what it had been designed to do. Every surface of what he was reinforced itself, the elevation real and immediate.
