Descartes stood quietly in the center of the rusted courtyard, his unfathomable eyes sweeping away from Noah. The old philosopher looked at the thousands of Veiled Descendants standing in perfectly ordered rows, and then he looked up at the massive floating metal cages filled with Inhibited True Lifeforms. He observed the grim, suffocating machinery of THE PAX without a fraction of shock.
"It is a logical inevitability," Descartes said smoothly.
"Those who forge chains for others are simply building the very links that will eventually bind them. To suppress another’s existence is to admit that your own standing is too fragile to survive their freedom. The masters of this order built an entire system of cages, and now they find themselves locked. A perfect, symmetrical consequence."
He turned his head slightly, addressing his towering obsidian disciple without raising his voice.
"Catch up," Descartes instructed THE Primordial Paradox, waving a perfectly calm hand. "We will move soon, as I am... interested in your friend here."
...!
Descartes did not wait for an acknowledgment. He turned his back on the budding stellar blood-tree and the heavy aura bleeding through the vanguard doorway. He walked slowly toward the distant prisons, his hands clasped behind his back, and began to observe the Inhibited Lifeforms locked within the cages.
Noah watched the philosopher walk away.
His endlessly blue eyes shone with a profound, terrifying realization. He had just integrated THE Provenance of THE Immense Sovereign, elevating his attributes tremendously and establishing himself as a Progenitor. Yet the old man walking across the courtyard carried a density of paradox that made the surrounding physical laws actively submit to his footsteps.
"How the hell did you come to be a disciple of another?" Noah asked. "And to someone like that?"
Despite the sheer arrogance THE Primordial Paradox usually carried, the obsidian titan did not bristle at the question. He let out a heavy, rumbling breath that sounded like grinding tectonic plates.
THE Primordial Paradox offered a grim smile and shook his massive head. He looked over at Erwin, who stood quietly in his threadbare peasant rags, faint obsidian flames of anomaly burning across his skin.
"All this guy’s fault," THE Primordial Paradox said dryly. "As THE Information Paradox, when we were at our absolute wits, he pulled upon all information across the continuum and instead called upon... our Master there."
The titan raised his massive hand. "Ah, best if I just show you."
...!
THE Primordial Paradox waved his fingers, condensing a heavy singularity of obsidian light. He tossed the record directly to Noah.
Noah reached up and caught the singularity calmly. He allowed the condensed information to slip past his Quintessential Provenance Skin, and the scenes instantly began playing out across his mind!
The rusted courtyards of THE Serenaros faded. Noah’s vision plunged into the abstract, tearing violence of a different timeline.
He saw a cluster of Observable Existences burning in the void. Countless Gilded Lifeforms lay shattered across them. Standing in the center of the ruin were THE Primordial Paradox and Erwin. Both were heavily wounded, their obsidian authorities flickering and failing!
"We were hunting a cluster of Gilded Lifeforms," THE Primordial Paradox narrated directly into Noah’s consciousness, his voice completely stripped of its usual boisterous warmth. "And we stepped too deep. The noise drew the masters of the soil."
The space behind the two anomalies violently tore open. Three Primeval Lifeforms emerged from the crossing-dark. They were towering, impossible titans woven of raw Egos and petrified bone, carrying Egos of Superbius that crushed the remnants of the Observable Existences into dust simply by arriving.
"They were old," the narration continued. "They were heavy. We were completely outmatched and about to be collapsed into nothingness."
In the record, the Primeval Ones unleashed a tsunami of conceptual weight. Erwin dropped to his knees. The peasant-garbed anomaly reached his bleeding hands directly into the fabric of the continuum. He weaponized his own failing existence, spreading his paradoxical information across the furthest reaches of reality in a desperate, blind summons.
The void answered.
Descartes did not arrive with an explosion. The philosopher simply appeared between the dying anomalies and the raging Primeval Ones, wearing the exact same immaculate robes.
The Primeval Ones drove their massive, starlight-woven limbs downward, bringing the full, lethal weight of their Causes and THE Argent Loom directly onto the old man!
Descartes looked up, and he did something unique.
The Continuum Paradox has rejected the sensory data of the attack.
He temporarily denies the certainty of the physical world. He doubts the existence of the blazing egos and the crushing bone.
Because Descartes refused to acknowledge the physical reality of the strike, the unfathomable depth of his paradox forced Existence to agree with him!
The Primeval attacks struck his position and simply ceased to be true. The kinetic force and the conceptual weight passed entirely through him, rendered as nothing more than hollow, empty illusions!
The three Primeval Ones roared in absolute confusion!
Descartes countered. He simply spoke to them, applying the cruelest, most absolute logic existence could bear.
"You beasts rely on authority and Egos," Descartes said in the memory, his voice echoing with devastating clarity. "But if an illusion deceives your eyes, and authority and emotions cannot strike true, what are you? I think, therefore I am. Do you think, or do you merely consume?"
THE Continuum Paradox asserts absolute existence while eroding the certainty of the enemy. Without their power, the Primeval Lifeforms cannot prove their own cognition. Their existences begin to waver.
The Primeval Ones shrieked as their massive bodies began to flicker. Their Causes unspooled!
Descartes stepped forward and delivered the execution!
THE Continuum Paradox divides reality into two distinct substances: the non-physical thinking mind and physical extension in space.
The dualism is imposed violently upon the targets.
Descartes segregated their minds from their matter. He tore their non-physical consciousness directly out of their physical forms!
The massive titans collapsed instantly. Their minds were cast adrift into the abstract void, completely severed from reality, while their towering bodies of Egos and bone rotted into dead, inert matter in a single second.
No physical blows were struck. No raw authority was exchanged. It was pure, lethal philosophy.
"Since that day that we were saved," THE Primordial Paradox concluded the narration, the obsidian singularity fading entirely from Noah’s mind. "We have been learning from him. Because when it comes to Paradox... none of us can compare."
BOOM!
Noah blinked, the rusted courtyards of THE Serenaros snapping back into focus.
His tyrannical mind raced, processing the sheer terror of an existence that weaponized existential doubt to unmake ancient beings. To simply deny an attack the right to be true, and to sever a mind from its flesh through absolute logic... it was a methodology of power that was unfathomably unique.
Noah turned his head, looking past his Veiled army.
He refocused his endlessly blue eyes on the distant, unbothered lifeform. Descartes was standing in front of the massive metal cages, calmly engaging the terrified, Inhibited True Lifeforms in conversation! Casually!
