Chapter 1779: The Chaos Origin Realm

Wang Wei sat cross-legged in his cultivation. He forced a drop of blood from his finger to bind himself to the space ring, gaining access to the inner content. Everything was separated into three areas: books, spiritual plants, and a small pile of red glowing crystal the size of a tennis ball. The quantity of each area displeased Wang Wei, but he understood this was gathered in a hurry, so it would have to do for now.

The first thing he checked out was the books, specifically the cultivation techniques. One of them, in particular, was noticeable because it naturally emits a unique and potent Dao Rhyme.

"Flame Origin Canon," Wang Wei muttered. "This should be the Fusan clan’s primary technique, but it seems to only cultivate up to the Infant Fiendgod Realm — no wonder she wanted me to retrieve their inheritance."

Flipping through the content gave him only a brief grasp of the technique, so Wang Wei focused on understanding and analyzing it more deeply. Time passed, and he was engrossed, only exhaling once he finished. "It’s a brilliant technique, but I’m surprised it did not rely so much on bloodline."

Most bloodline techniques focused on accelerating the user’s growth rate. After all, with a powerful bloodline, the owner only needs to wait and sleep, and they will eventually grow into a powerful cultivator. Wang Wei and the other ancestors went to extreme lengths to ensure that no descendant would be lazy and rely solely on their bloodline.

However, this Flame Origin Canon took a different path. It completely abandoned the Fiendgod Race’s ability to grow naturally over time and exchanged it for pure nourishing power. When members of the Fusan tapped into their bloodline, they did not accelerate their growth. Instead, they gain access to energy to fuel their cultivation.

’This approach has not only drastically reduced the amount of resources needed to cultivate, but also the time required,’ Wang Wei analyzed with shining eyes. The amount of resources the Wang Clan or any powerful bloodline requires to accelerate their growth time is astronomical, but in this world, they turned their bloodline into resources themselves.

’The only downside is this world’s bloodline has lost the guarantee to reach a certain tier,’ Wang Wei observed. The difference is fascinating. A Wang Clan member with an 11-revolution bloodline is guaranteed to become an Empyrean as long as they don’t die and reach a certain age, but the same level bloodline in this realm would have the energy and resources to reach the Empyrean Realm in their blood. If they can perfectly tap and utilize that energy, they can reach that realm. If not, they’ll need to supplement it with foreign resources.

’With this system, talents in this realm can be divided into two: their bloodline level and their ability to utilize the resources in their bloodline,’ Wang Wei continued. ’No wonder that baby has mediocre talent, but his bloodline is so unique.’

Wang Wei liked this system, and he felt it was perfect for the Wang Clan. Everything has a downside. The Human Fiendgod Bloodline has drastically increased the clan’s body refining talent, but the other aspects, such as soul, profession, energy control, and others, have decreased. Overall, the benefits of the bloodline outweigh the downsides, but what if they could have both?

"Another advantage of this system is how much the influence of bloodline has further decreased," Wang Wei muttered. Someone might have a Great Emperor Bloodline (Infant Fiendgod Realm), and once they reach that cultivation realm, it doesn’t mean they cannot go further; it only means there are no more resources to tap from their blood. However, there are plenty of resources in the outside world to make up for it.

’I’ll definitely convince the other [Ancestors] to switch to this system when I go back,’ Wang Wei thought. Over the years, the three top clans of the Dao Opening Sect have made great advancements because of the Human Fiendgod Bloodline, and after sharing it with the other clans, they’ve also benefited. However, the upper echelons have noticed a few downsides, the greatest of which is the slow speed at which everybody grows.

Compared to other factions, the members of their sect are more powerful by a great margin. Still, in the new generation, the number of Great Emperors, Empyreans, and Paragons paled compared to everybody else — all because the family disciples have to rely on their bloodline to grow. Despite all the methods created to accelerate the process, their development speed falls behind the genius of other factions.

This problem can be easily alleviated by recruiting more disciples for the [Sectarian Faction], but nobody wants to give them more power. It’s alright to increase their number for a few generations, but after a dozen, a hundred generations, they’ll become too powerful. As long as Wang Wei and the others become saints, there will be no issue, but the sectarian faction will become so big that they control the lower and middle level cultivators of the sect. With this realm’s bloodline approach, Wang Wei has found the best way to deal with the issue.

Wang Wei reached out to check another cultivation art; he wanted to know whether this bloodline approach was unique to the Fusan Clan, the Chaos Demon Gods, or to everyone in this secret realm. The result showed that everyone had used this approach, so he moved on. His next focus was on how to cultivate in the Ancestor Fiendgod Realm.

The space ring only contained 3 complete techniques that reached all the way to the 5-star Ancestor Realm. And just by reading the beginning, Wang Wei could tell they paled in comparison to the brilliance and complexity of the Fusan clan’s method. However, that didn’t really matter, since Wang Wei never intended to cultivate it himself. As long as he had an idea of how they operated, he could create his own.

Through these three techniques, he saw how this realm controlled and resonated with three gates, how they fused them into one, and, more importantly, the key to raising their bodies to such a high state. There are two fundamental keys: the Saint Foundations and, more importantly, the Essence Source.

The Essence Source is the rawest, purest form of Essence energy that can benefit the growth, development, and evolution of the flesh. It can only be found in the Primordial Essence Source, which is most likely a Grand Construct, and only by accessing it can the cultivators of this realm break the limit.

By the time Wang Wei finished reading all these techniques, he had already created his own version. Although it was shoddy and had many problems, it can still be used to reach the 5-star Ancestor Fiendgod Realm; the only problem is that he will need a lot of resources to make up for the flaws. Unfortunately, he needed more time and practice to perfect it.

Despite his excitement, he did not immediately start cultivating. Instead, he perused the books about history, culture, society, and everything he needed to know about the state of the world. The content was brief but educational.

The world’s history was divided into two eras: the War Era and the Disappearance Era. At the beginning of time, the two creators — Saint Father Pangu and Saint Father Hundunxi — created the world to settle a dispute between them. As such, a terrible war waged on, with numerous Chaos Demon Gods taking sides. Things escalated to the point that the ones who tried to remain neutral were killed.

At some point, both sides began creating [Lesser Life] with the potential to evolve to help them; hence, the Fiendgod Race was born, and eventually, other acquired races, such as humans and demons. The War Era ended with a devastating battle that resulted in the disappearance of the two Father Saints and countless other Chaos Demon Gods.

Time moved on, and eventually, the Disappearance Era came to be. The descendants of the two Father Saints created the Holy Lands to rule over this realm, while the descendants of other powerful Chaos Demon Gods created their own lineage.

"2 Holy Lands, 36 Origin Lineages, and 72 Primordial Factions," Wang Wei muttered with a furrowed brow. If this information is true, this world has at least 2 Grand Dao Saints, 36 Tribunal Saints, and 72 Primordial Chaos Saints.

"No, the two Holy Lands do not have Grand Dao Saints — they have the power to briefly use such a level of strength, probably from an artifact left by Pangu and Hundunxi," Wang Wei muttered. In the brief history in this book, there have been a few times the Holy Lands were forced to use that level of power, but each time, no one actually showed up. A weapon or a phenomenon suddenly appeared, and the problem was resolved.

"There seems to be a lot of undercurrent going on," Wang Wei muttered to himself. "This world, called the Chaos Origin Realm, is divided into 12 Prefectures, each holy land controlling 6. Within these prefectures, there are 36 counties, each composed of countless domains. The Holy Lands do not interfere as long as the Origin Lineages keep paying taxes and sending talents.

"However, there have been several rebellions by these lineages, and I’m afraid our arrival will stir things."
