Chapter 1844: Spiritual Hint

"Ai, what do you think of this task? Can you do it?" Wang Wei asked.

"Difficult," Ai replied as she glanced at the blueprint for the Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array. Adding the fact that she had to do it quietly, without alerting anyone, made this task a headache.

"Difficult, but not impossible, right?"

"That’s right, but the difference may not matter."

"What do you mean?"

"We have a limited amount of time, and sadly, I don’t think it can be done in that duration."

Wang Wei frowned, "Give me an estimate on how long you need."

"Approximately, 12.876 million yuan epoch."

"What? So long?" Wang Wei’s brow raised. According to his calculation, with the aid of the Yin-Yang Quantum Computer Array, he only needed 10 yuan epoch to perfect his Soul Quintessence Method and the Fourth Gate Method.

"I’m dealing with an array that is literally two realms higher than my own," Ai explained. "The fact I can do anything at all is a sign of my brilliance."

Wang Wei was speechless, not because of her words, but because she had inherited too much of his wife’s personality despite his best effort to modify her. However, now was not the time to be thinking about such useless things.

"Can you decrease the time?"

Ai thought briefly, "Did you bring information about Saint-tier Arrays from the Heaven Splitting Holy Land?"

Wang Wei’s eyes shine, "I’ll upload them immediately." The first floor of the Holy Land’s library contained information from all fields, including the Dao of Array. Although the Array system in the Chaos Origin Realm was different, it was still excellent data.

"Well?" Wang Wei asked, unable to hide his anticipation.

"387,987 Yuan epoch," Ai replied.

"Massive improvement, but still too much time."

"This is the best I can do."

"What if I build you a few more arrays?"

"The timetable will decrease by 5%," Ai replied.

"So low?" Wang Wei uttered before he realized why. The current array has reached the computational limit, and the only way to improve is to connect to the [Yin Array]. Adding more [Yang Arrays] will only have minor improvements, and these improvements have a limit.

"You could try to incorporate the [Three Paths — Three Selves Art] into the array, but according to my calculations, you’ll probably fail. Only a True Saint Art can perfectly combine these two techniques."

"In that case, let’s not waste time," Wang Wei uttered. He trusted her judgment. "I’ll build you a few [Yang Arrays]. Anyway, a 5% improvement is still a lot. As for the upcoming danger? Well, we can still resist with the small amount of authority we’ve regained from the array."

"I understand."

The two immediately focused on their work. Ai first improved on Wang Wei’s original method of regaining control. Although he did a good enough job, in her eyes, it was not enough. She had discovered more than 5 ways the enemy could regain control. Once that was done, Ai focused on the rest of the array.

Cycles of seasons passed one after another, and for a while, the two thought luck was on their side. Twenty thousand yuan epochs passed, and the world was quiet. The weaker Paragons without a Saint Foundation swiftly healed the damage done to their [Existence], while the rest were still trying to recuperate.

Bang!

A sudden universe-wide phenomenon suddenly alarmed everybody. Both the Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array and the Reverse Black Stone Array were activated simultaneously. Their powers combined to emit a black light visible from any point in this timeline.

Everybody was shocked, wondering what was going on. However, this was just the beginning of the chances. After this black light materialized, all lives in the timeline that were not in either array died. Their bodies instantly decomposed, and their souls flew toward the black light.

"Stop him," Someone yelled, their voice spreading to every corner of the universe. However, when they saw it was the Heaven Cardinal, no one acted. Instead, people only coldly look at him. The situation was strange, and no one had any information. How could they act? Heaven Cardinal’s words, in fact, aggravated the situation. These people were already wary of him and his companion, so when he urged them to act, their wariness increased.

"He’s right, we need to hurry."

"Commander Wang, why do you say that?" the Duchess Erudite asked.

"Haven’t you guys realized it yet?" Wang Wei asked. "We’ve lost control of our array."

The spiritual realm in which their divine sense was communicating trembled. These powerful beings then hurriedly checked. The situation was dire. One reason they could remain calm in the face of this sudden opportunity was the confidence they could stop or influence it through their control of the array.

Boom! Boom!

"This array has become our prison," the Slaughter Ancestor suddenly added. Immediately afterward, more sounds of attacks echoed throughout the base. Now, even if they wanted to stop it, there was nothing they could do.

"Don’t worry about that," Wang Wei said. With a thought, Ai activated their backup plans and regained about 15% of the array; this number wasn’t enough to stop the mastermind’s plan, but it was enough for the Tribunal Lords to leave.

"Did you detect something beforehand?" the Karma Root Monarch asked.

"Why didn’t you warn us?"

"I tried, but none of you wanted to see me — even after I used the emergency signal."

The spiritual realm was quiet until Source Qi Cardinal said, "This is not the time for chatting. We need to stop this."

"How about you tell us what’s going on first?"

"We don’t know, but every ounce of our existence is screaming that we should stop this."

"What about the danger level?" the Trinity Venerable asked.

"Of the highest caliber."

"Then, we need to be even more careful," the Primordial Heaven Sword Saint said. "How about we let the Infinite Divine Court make the first move?"

"With Suiji interfering, the issue may not be much of an issue."

"This may work," the Duchess said. "Look. The black light is not just killing all life in the universe, but bringing about the universe’s own death. The court will not allow itself to lose this timeline."

"I’m afraid Suiji might be in trouble herself," Wang Wei suddenly added.

"What do you mean?"

"Soon after our return, I discovered that something was wrong with Grand Dao through the Creation Lifeform Tribulation."

"Something happened to her?" Immediately, the Tribunal Lords began deducing the secrets of Heaven and Earth. Their methods were more sophisticated than noticing a small anomaly in a tribulation.

"He’s right. The Grand Dao in this world is operating at its lowest level," Karma Root Monarch commented.

"Could this be because of her injury?"

"No, even her injury wouldn’t cause this," the Duchess explained.

"Maybe a tactic?"

"Possibly, but now, I don’t think she has any choice but to act."

"What if she doesn’t?"

"Our goal is to destroy them, and if we achieve that through destroying this timeline, that’s acceptable to me," the Slaughter Ancestor sneered.

"In that case, let’s wait. Whoever is more impatient will lose."

Wang Wei frowned. Something was off, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. "Death Reverence is probably the one responsible for this. He’s known for sacrificing Chaos Worlds, and now, he wants to sacrifice an entire timeline."

"Death Reverence? That little Primordial Chaos Saint with a weak foundation?" the Trinity Venerable asked. "How could he possibly be able to accomplish something of this scale?"

"I understand you two might have some animosity, but there is no need to use our hands to kill him," Karma Root Monarch added.

"Wait, something is off," the Duchess suddenly said.

"What are you talking about?"

"This is the second time we were warned of this individual, and the second time we brush it off casually."

The communication paused briefly before the Primordial Heaven Sword Saint uttered with gritted teeth, "Spiritual Hint."

"Damn it, we’ve been tricked."

"I just remember: Grand Dao has placed Death Reverence in a Surveillance List. How can I forget to mention that?" Heaven Cardinal added.

"What do we do now?"

"We need to act swiftly, but not knowing the danger involved is a major issue."

"I have a plan," Wang Wei suddenly said.

"Oh, Commander Wang, what do you suggest?"

"Bless all your powers to the two Cardinals and send them to attack the anomaly."

"What? Are you out of your mind?" Heaven Cardinal immediately rebutted.

"You two are the only ones whose foundation was not damaged in the slightest by the purification light, meaning you’re the only ones in full health," Wang Wei calmly stated. "Not to mention, it was probably your duty to watch over Death Reverence, but you failed at that. Lastly, you two are the only ones here who are truly immortal."

"Being immortal doesn’t mean we can act recklessly," Source Qi Cardinal snapped.

"It’s still better than us, who only have one life," Wang Wei shrugged.

"You!"
