“When did Titan break through to the Tier 7 Golem Realm?” Arthur asked no one in particular, he was just simply too shocked at what he was witnessing, and widely stared at Titan in disbelief.Due to the immense pressure Titan released, every ongoing fight came to a halt, as all eyes turned toward the Tier 7 golem standing before them.
After observing him for a moment and enduring the biting cold his aura produced, many couldn’t help but glance toward Hoshino Ren, the mage they had previously hailed as someone capable of displaying Tier 7 battle prowess.
For the first time, they realized something important: Ren had never truly emitted a Tier 7 pressure; Yea his spirit was clearly in the Tier 7 realm but it seems he couldn’t execute the realm pressure.
Because what stood before them now was on an entirely different level from anything he had had previously shown when merged with Akagami.
Bang!
Before anyone could even blink, Titan had already appeared in front of Ren, and he thrust his hand forward, his actual hand never even reached Ren — instead, a massive ice hand materialized in midair and slammed into him, sending Ren flying.
“Arrgh!”
Seeing this Shun swiftly rushed forward and raised his shield, trying to cushion the momentum that was carrying Ren away, but even he too was carried along as they were both pushed backward by the overwhelming force.
[> Mid Tier Spell – Wind Slam <]
Kiri, who stood further away, slammed her hands downward and cast one of the wind element’s most dangerous mid-rank attack spells, and then the crushing air pressure descended — yet Titan’s body didn’t move an inch.
Only the floating ice crown above his head trembled slightly under the pressure, then he began walking toward her.
With every step he took, frost spread across the ground, forming what looked like a rolling carpet of ice beneath his feet, he raised his right hand and casually conjured an ice lance.
The spectators could clearly see frost particles gathering together, forming a weapon of remarkable quality with effortless precision, when it was complete, Titan simply flicked his arm and threw it.
The motion looked casual, but the speed at which the lance shot out was anything but casual, as an icy-blue streak tore through the air and impaled Kiri, launching her toward the arena wall.
She didn’t even realize what had happened, to the spectators, it was clear, Titan had thrown the lance, and in a blur it had crossed the distance, pierced her shoulder, and dragged her across the battlefield until she struck the wall.
By the time she registered that she was no longer standing where she had been, her head had already slammed into the barrier, knocking her unconscious.
“We have to attack together! There’s no way you Blade clansmen can win without joining forces to fight this monster!” Hoshino Ren shouted toward the Blade Clan members.
Hearing Ren’s words, Kaelus and Aeron locked eyes, though they might disagree on many things, but they both understood one fact, and that was that they couldn’t allow Alec’s golem to continue eliminating opponents unchecked.
As they knew if it came down to just the two of them against Alec and his golem, they were certain they would lose after all they had seen.
“Why do things always have to get complicated? Why do new challenges always show up just to mess with me?” Kaelus complained as he dashed forward, leaving Aeron behind to deal with Lucas, as the other Gordons clansmen stopped the other Blades.
Seeing him rush off alone, Aeron felt a surge of irritation, he had suggested that they move together after knocking Lucas out, but as usual Kaelus had refused, insisting he would join Ren to defeat the golem.
With his speed, Kaelus quickly closed the distance and reached Titan. Dropping low, he slashed upward with his Katana, at the same time, Ren’s body flickered into place from the opposite side in a sudden teleport-like motion, preparing to strike from above.
But in the very next instant, Alec also appeared as well, teleporting in with the same abrupt movement, with his leg shooting out and slamming directly into Ren, sending him flying away from the clash.
“Why exclude me from the fight?, Do you look down on me so much that you think I can’t participate in a Tier 7 battle?” Alec said coldly as he pushed Ren back.
With that, the battlefield split, Alec and Ren sliding away from the center where Titan and Kaelus faced each other head-on.
Meanwhile, Kaelus slashed upward, aiming straight for Titan’s face, however; Titan simply took a step back and bent backwards.
During that step, however, he pressed his foot down and sent a portion of his mana into the ground, manipulating it a short distance behind Kaelus, in an instant, a jagged ice wall rose behind him.
Kaelus didn’t realize this as he thrust forward continuing his attack, Titan casually pushed out his left hand and gripped the blade.
The sound of metal scraping against Titan’s crystallized ice hand rang out harshly across the arena, the noise it created was unsettling, but in the end the weapon was completely stopped.
When the blade finally came to a halt in Titan’s grasp, Kaelus raised his eyes and stared at the towering golem before him, but Titan had already made a move.
His right fist slammed straight into Kaelus’ face, the impact sent Kaelus flying through the air until his back crashed violently into the jagged ice wall Titan had created earlier.
“Argh!”
Kaelus cried out as the spikes of ice dug into his back.
The spectators watched as Titan casually tossed the sword aside, from the section he had gripped, frost had already begun spreading across the blade.
Many in the crowd couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he grabbed a person directly and held on for more than a moment.
As Kaelus struggled to open his eyes, he saw Titan already walking toward him, what infuriated him the most was the golem’s pace. Titan always appeared to be walking calmly, yet his speed was anything but slow.
A blue flash burst from Kaelus’ right hand as he summoned the Aether Blade, while a silver light appeared in his left hand as he conjured a spear.
Even though he knew he was in a tight spot, Kaelus was ready to fight Titan head-on. He swung his Aether blade first, releasing a surge of Qi energy toward the golem.
But before the attack could fully form, Titan casually swung out his left hand, as an ice axe materialized in his grip instantly, and with an effortless precision, he deflected the incoming blade energy.
Then he followed up with a brutal uppercut, driving his right fist upward toward Kaelus.
Titan’s uppercut slammed directly into Kaelus’ jaw, lifting him slightly off the ground. But Titan didn’t stop there, he moved his hand forward, gripped Kaelus by the neck, and shoved him backward.
Bang!!!
Kaelus’ body crashed against the jagged ice wall, he then switched him and slammed again.
Bang!!!
And again.
With every impact, spectators from the other kingdoms visibly flinched.
At the beginning, Kaelus struggled fiercely to break free from Titan’s grip, but after nearly ten brutal slams, his body finally went limp and he lost consciousness.
Many believed it was the repeated smashing of his head against the ice wall that had knocked him out. However, Alec and the mages of the Blade Clan knew Kaelus far too well to think that was the real reason.
Kaelus was an extremely powerful mage with weapon mastery and a good Qi control which means he could take a lot of hits, as a member of the Blade Clan, he could use Qi as a protective layer.
Even under heavy blows, he could have shaped his Qi into something like a protective helmet to reduce the blunt force, which led them thinking that the head slamming wasn’t the only problem he faced.
Titan finally released him and tossed his body onto the ground, and when everyone looked closely at Kaelus’ neck, they noticed it had turned pale, almost frostbitten compared to the rest of his body.
That was when Aeron realized what had truly happened.
Titan’s ice mana had invaded Kaelus’ body the moment he grabbed his neck, and because Titan’s hand stayed in contact with Kaelus’ skin the entire time, he was able to steadily inject and control the frost energy inside him, disrupting Kaelus’ ability to circulate Qi.
The slamming was only meant to accelerate his loss of consciousness, the real battle had been happening inside Kaelus’ body all along.
Tiny specks of frost had already begun forming across Kaelus’ skin, proof that the ice aura Titan injected was still spreading through him, slowly freezing him from within even after he had fainted.
“I said this before, Come at me, or I will make a move.” Titan spoke calmly as he looked around the battlefield.
“It seems none of you are willing to approach... so I will make my move now.” he said but this time, his words left the remaining mages confused.
If this wasn’t him making a move before... then what exactly had they just experienced?
