Alec felt himself being covered by darkness, at first it seemed as if the darkness was closing in around him, but in the next moment he felt his consciousness being pulled outward. And just when he thought he had already seen everything this strange creation stone system could show him, he suddenly found himself looking down at the battlefield from above, almost like a god observing the world beneath him.
However, upon closer inspection, he quickly realized what was happening, most of the battlefield appeared grey and lifeless, but the areas that his team had already captured still retained their color, along with their initial deployment zone at the back.
Alec quickly understood that this must be the system interface created by the Creation stone, it was prompting him to choose a location for reincarnation, then he noticed something else.
While Damien and Kira were moving toward one of the rune points currently under War God control, Dragov was heading back toward the western rune, likely attempting to intercept Pale and Endrick.
However, from Alec’s vantage point above the battlefield, he could tell that Pale and Endrick had already begun moving toward the northern rune in an attempt to capture it, but he wasn’t sure how well that would go for them.
Because not only had Carmilla already reincarnated there, but Connor had chosen the same location as well, that meant the two of them would be forced to face two enemies at once while Dragov was returning to reclaim the western rune point.
3... 2... 1... 0... Random spawning.
While Alec was still thinking through the situation, red numbers suddenly appeared before his eyes, and before he could react, he felt his consciousness being pulled back toward the battlefield.
If he had known there was a timer, he wouldn’t have wasted so much time analyzing his options.
Instead of choosing his location manually, the system randomly spawned him, all the way back at his team’s initial deployment point.
After reincarnating, Alec paused for a moment to inspect his body, as he realised that there was not a single trace of the injuries he had suffered earlier remaining on his newly reincarnated body, his body had been restored completely, as if nothing had happened.
“Master... phew!”
Before Alec could move forward, he heard Legion’s relieved voice, which immediately surprised him.
Out of curiosity, he attempted to summon the golem and realized that he actually could.
Although the Creation Stone was supposed to restrain all forms of summoning, however; Alec’s situation seems different from that of most mages, his golems were far more deeply connected to him than anyone realized.
Each of them had developed a form of consciousness and were tied directly to his soul, making them more like fragments of Alec that had grown their own personalities.
Over time, they had learned how to act and think simply by staying at Alec’s side for so long, if Legion hadn’t spoken up out of concern, Alec might never have realized that he could still access them.
But now that he knew, everything changed, the battle had suddenly become much easier in his mind.
“Legion, help me with your nano weapon cubes,” Alec transmitted through voice transmission.
He understood that even though he could technically summon his golems, the same method might not work for others, so he wasn’t about to reveal to the judges that he could bypass the restrictions they had set in place to restrain him.
Being the center of attention was useful, but being too good at attracting attention wasn’t always wise, that was a philosophy Alec had adopted from his clan’s way of operating: stay hidden and move quietly when necessary.
Almost immediately, two metallic cubes appeared before him, Alec projected the shapes he wanted them to transform into using his mental energy.
Because he could also execute the abilities his golems possessed, creating what he needed required very little effort, the cube in his left hand quickly reshaped itself into a metallic hand guard, locking firmly around his left arm.
Meanwhile, the cube in his right hand began forming into a rifle, though the structure was not yet complete.
Without stopping, Alec summoned another cube with his left hand while he began moving toward the eastern rune point; from the situation displayed in the battlefield interface, the southern rune light that went to the skies still appeared stable and under his team’s control without any threats currently.
But the explosions echoing across the battlefield suggested that the real fight was currently happening at the eastern rune, and since that location was closer to the central rune, Alec had already predicted that his teammates would retreat there the moment he ordered them to fall back and defend their captured rune points.
[ Red Team Member Endrick — Eliminated ]
[ Red Team Member Pale — Eliminated ]
When the two notifications appeared before his eyes, Alec immediately understood what had happened, Dragov must have ignored the other rune point they had captured and instead prioritized eliminating his teammates first.
Alec glanced up at the display array in the sky, and realized that they were still two rune points still stably under his team’s control, while the third was already showing signs that their dominance over it was beginning to break apart.
Red Team 266 — 164 Blue Team.
Although his team still held a considerable lead, Alec had no intention of letting the Bloodline Academy capture a third rune point. If that happened, then the Bloodline Academy would begin closing the score gap much faster, making it harder for his team to maintain their advantage.
There was also the looming concern that they might eventually catch up.
As Alec approached the eastern rune, he bent slightly and launched himself back into the air using gravity manipulation.
At that moment, he slammed the latest cube into the weapon, completing the structure of the rifle. Beneath the rifle’s main muzzle was another slot designed specifically for missile rounds.
As Alec appeared in the air, his gaze immediately locked onto Lucas, who was locked in a fierce battle with Damien.
Nearby, Brandon was overpowering Kira, their weapons clashed repeatedly, but Kira’s short blades weren’t giving her much advantage. Despite her incredible speed, she hadn’t managed to land a single decisive strike against Brandon.
When Alec appeared above them, all of them immediately noticed his presence.
“Move!” Alec commanded.
Lucas and Brandon first flinched for a second before instantly pulling away from their opponents, seeing this, Damien immediately tried to follow Lucas, attempting to keep him within striking distance.
Though Damien didn’t know exactly what Alec was about to do, he suspected it might be an A-O-E attack, and Alec clearly didn’t want his teammates caught within its range, which was why he had ordered them to move.
Believing Alec wouldn’t risk harming his own allies, Damien quickly charged forward, thinking that if he stayed close enough to them, Alec would be forced to hold back.
But as he dashed across the battlefield, he suddenly realized something the moment he crossed a certain spot on the ground.
“Got you!”
