Chapter 1112: Way Of The Sword 4.

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Takeda groaned in pain, and when he turned to look at Alec, who was crouching low and still gripping the knife, he realized Alec was already planning his next attack.

Alec pierced his bone katana, as it shot straight toward him, and in that instant Takeda swung out his blade with every ounce of strength he could muster.

The force of that reaction sent both Alec’s bone katana and his own weapon flying away, but it had all been part of Alec’s plan.

Because with both of their weapons now gone, he had the chance to attack the way he wanted.

Flames blazed beneath his feet, lifting him slightly above the ground as if the very concept of air resistance didn’t matter.

Then he unleashed two swift kicks with his right leg one targeting the waist and the second targeting the higher arm area, and his legs were still coated in intensely burning flame energy.

Takeda managed to block the first two kicks by raising a high defence but the third one was different.

Alec had twisted in midair to gather more momentum, and with the flames burning beneath his feet acting like some sort of boosters, his speed surged as he delivered a vicious side kick straight to Takeda’s head, sending him flying away.

Alec then quickly adjusted his body in midair, pushing both hands forward like some kind of superhero as he shot after Takeda, igniting more flames, as some even blasted off his back like some type of baby wings.

Just as Takeda was regaining his balance and digging both legs into the ground, Alec appeared right in front of him, one hand pressing against Takeda’s chest and the other against his head.

The moment Alec cast the spell, Takeda’s eyes bulged, but it was already too late.

Even before Alec’s palms touched him, he had already been gathering the energy needed to cast it, which was why his hands had taken on that purple hue.

“Blast,” Alec said, and the word fell like a judgment, the purple aura covering his hands began to bend and snarl as a small vortex of space formed and spun at terrifying speed, carrying with it a sharp cutting force.

As much as Takeda tried to escape by accelerating his wind escape spell and using the earth terrain beneath him to push himself away and create distance, he still wasn’t able to completely avoid being struck by the gravity vortex.

His body was sent flying as he coughed out blood, though he had managed to keep the vortex from cutting too deep into his head, however his chest now had a gruesome hole in it.

“I—!”

Takeda had been struggling, trying to say something, but before he could even finish that sentence, Alec turned into a blur and passed by him with terrifying speed.

The crowd watched in fear, the Eastern fans silently hoping that nothing would happen to Takeda.

However, that prayer was never answered, because just a second later, they saw his head slide off his neck as the rest of his body began to disintegrate as well.

Meanwhile Alec had his hand outstretched, with the bone katana in hand facing the crowd in a straight manner while he was in a crouching position.

Up in the second VIP section, the Kage of Silent Night let out a long sigh, finally feeling at ease. Others could not tell, but Takeda was his son, so he knew him well enough, though Takeda’s power looked like a cheat to others, however he did see it as a curse, one that had held the boy back and made it hard for him to advance in true leaps and bounds that his talents demanded.

At this moment, however, he was more concerned about Takeda’s well-being than his talent or battle prowess, though it might have looked as if Takeda had willingly let his avatars die so he could devour their essence and grow stronger, however the Kage was certain that Takeda had only done so because he felt there was no longer any direct path to victory.

His avatars had gone against Alec’s golems, and every single one of them had fallen short, there were also Alec’s teammates, who had not acted at that stage, but Takeda had been worried about being ganged up on so he had always been keeping an eye on them the entire time.

Which was why it seems he had been eager to see his avatars die, because all he had been trying to do was use the power in their cores to temporarily increase his strength and somehow force Alec into a one-on-one battle.

That was the plan he had in mind, he knew Alec always faces the captains of the other teams in a one v one battle so he had been counting on that too,

Though it took a while, as he first had to go blow for blow with Alec’s top golems, however; he still got his one-on-one in the end.

And he had to admit that after Alec finally cut him down, he started to wonder why Alec hadn’t just finished it from the start, in as much as he hated to admit it, it was clear to him that Alec was far stronger than him—

Not in terms of realm, but in weapon mastery, physicality after his transformation, and battle IQ, it now started to feel to him as if he had been used in some sort of testing experiment.

But now that he had died, he would have to reconstruct the bodies of his Avatars again as he couldn’t keep their core in his body for long, and that came with a very intense pain, keeping them stubbornly and begining the reconstruction process.

And there was something worse about the pain he was about to feel, it was the fact that with each avatar’s death, the pain increased by another fold.

And considering that he had lost all of his avatars, he could only pray that he would pass out, because he didn’t want to endure that pain.

Meanwhile, the massive transparent light shield covering the entire battlefield began to open up, and all it took was a blink before Alec found himself standing among his teammates again.

It was the cheering of the crowd that finally brought his attention back, though he had won, but he could tell that a lot of people were not happy about it, that was one of the main reasons he had made sure his golems did not fight at full strength, and the fact that he hadn’t even used all of his golems was another key factor to show that he was hiding his true strength.

To those watching right now, it might have felt as though they already knew everything there was to know about him, but Alec didn’t care, as if they were to ever come for him he was ready to make them regret it.

The War God team had just won the Origin Competition, and that was something even the King of the Northern Kingdom could change with all his power, irrespective of how pissed he was.

As Alec turned, he watched his teammates begin heading toward him, with Arthur at the forefront, laughing loudly, the whole crowd was chanting with such passion that the team couldn’t help but wave toward the northern stands before they eventually had to leave the battlefield, as the judges would soon come down to announce the names of those who had made the top hundred list.
