Chapter 1162: New Plans.

“However, since she was born in this realm, we were never able to fully disconnect her from it, and before she was forced away, she cast the Blood Moon Ritual on the origin realm, the Blood Moon Battle has always been a way for lords to take land from each other: kill the lord, seize their token, and have your City Heart assimilate it.”

“So despite being that far away, she is still able to mess with our lives. But after that enemy left, many races that disliked us, mainly the Abyssal races leading the front, started driving humans to the edge, even their smaller worlds are trying to destroy the smaller continents of humans remaining as they believe we have the spring of immortality, we are able to summon dead soldiers back with the barrack while they can’t. Now, there are only a few human empires still left standing and protecting the human race from full annihilation.”

“They are the ones who still lead the wars against the massive empires of the other races, the only way one can truly be free from war and from losing their loved ones is by becoming strong. Strong to the extent that no one can ever decide your fate again, strong enough that the enemies have to think twice before even making a move.”

“So think of me as a King-rank existence. And like I told you earlier, in order to become a king, your city must reach Level 4, and you yourself must enter the Tier 8 realm. If not, you will never ascend.”

“As for me, I am the only king of the Wilderness region. I see all of you as lords to whom I have given parts of my kingdom and made nobles just without official titles as Duke or Earls you all are all called lords with the level of your city determining who is superior. However, just like the other kings of other regions, I don’t really take kindly to the fact that lords under me engage in infighting if it can be solved.”

“I would rather you all attack other races instead, because their kings won’t be able to move against you personally. They can only watch and leave the battle to their own lord ranks also.”

“Now, as for faith crystals, when you finally reach ten faith points, you can try condensing them. I’m sure by the time you reach the peak of the Tier 9 realm, you should have that much. By consuming a faith crystal, you can push your cultivation all the way to the Monarch realm without any problems. However, if even by that time you don’t have enough, then just focus on getting an alchemist to craft a Monarch-realm pill for you. All you have to do is give them a single refined faith power each time they try to create the pill.”

“That way, even if the pill has a low probability of making you enter the Monarch realm, you would still be slowly breaching the gap,” the old man said as he walked around in circles.

However, the moment he turned and saw the shining gem in Alec’s hand, his gaze trembled in shock.

“How the fuck were you able to accumulate ten faith points that fast?” the old man asked, clearly stunned.

Alec, on the other hand, seemed to have realized that maybe the fact he was able to materialize so many faith points was a loophole only he was capable of, because the expression on the man’s face was one of pure shock.

“Well, let’s just say my people love me that much,” Alec answered with a shrug, this caused the old man to enter a deep thinking state.

“Well, we can’t rule that out either, because now that I think about it, faith points can only develop through the reverence of your citizens. There is also the fact that Monarchs are people others always look up to.”

“So clearly, in the lower realms, only those in high positions or those regarded as top geniuses usually enter this realm because, unknowingly, they have been accumulating faith points from those under them without even noticing.”

“And then there is the case of faith points reaching a certain threshold, when that happens, as they cultivate, the faith power starts assimilating with them unconsciously. Hmm...”

“Let me guess, you were popular in your clan?” the old man asked.

“I wouldn’t say I was popular. All I can say is that I’m the young master,” Alec replied, trying to throw him off his trail and avoid exposing the fact that he was able to accumulate faith points at a terrifying speed.

After all, he could clearly see the shock on this old king’s face just because he had enough faith points to form a faith crystal of such level.

Alec now started wondering how the man would react if he learned that he had up to a hundred faith points, he had a feeling the old man might faint.

All he had done was follow the old man’s explanation and try to condense the faith points. The moment Alec focused on them, the system brought up a notification, asking him to choose how many faith points he wanted to convert into a faith crystal.

He had only picked ten, which led to the current situation: a shining crystal now hovering before his hand.

“Well then, since I gave you land under me, I would appreciate it if, when you try to grow stronger, you develop outward instead. And when the time for war comes, just so you know, I might call on you, since you are a lord under me, just like I am a king under one of humanity’s surviving emperors.”

The moment Alec heard this, he was quite surprised. Now, he had a better understanding of things.

Though other places might have already developed properly like having high rank warriors or alchemists and forgers, however the Wilderness had deteriorated this much because it had a lazy king.

And literally, Alec had only traded one war zone for another, the only difference now was that he didn’t need to fear any royalty, and he could not just be attacked by those above him, like King-rank existences as they would have to face the wrath of the wilderness region king instead who he was under.

But those who were lords’ ranks, regardless of their realm and city level, could still launch a battle against him to seize part of his land, this was mainly because they had come to believe that the more people they had under them, the faster they could accumulate faith points.

Alec and the old man continued talking for a while, and by the end of it all, Alec was able to figure out that his name was Alexander.

And though Alexander tried his best to buy the faith crystal from Alec, Alec held his ground and refused to sell it once he realized how precious it was.

He also ended up learning that the warriors he summoned were real humans who had died in battle before, and they were capable of having families since this was their second chance at life.

The fact that they had reincarnated without much of their past-world memories did not mean they were merely mechanical tools. It only meant they would be a hundred percent loyal to the lord who summoned them.

Alec then proceeded to ask why King Alexander was acting this kindly toward him, and the man mentioned that it was because he saw potential in him. He believed that in the near future, Alec might become another King-rank expert in the Wilderness.

When that time came, he could ask Alec for a favor, one Alec would not be able to refuse.

Considering that Alec still felt it was a long way before that happened, he didn’t think too much about it. Instead, he proceeded to ask how he could return to the Five Kingdom Continent.

Alexander told him it was simple. All he had to do was become a King-rank existence, and he would gain access to the ship blueprint and the space stones needed to locate his previous home.

The more Alec listened, the more he almost felt like the old man was trying to rush him into becoming a King-rank ruler.

Meanwhile, he was already facing many problems just being a lord, his territory was growing too quickly, and he already had two more lands that he did not have anyone worthy enough to rule over, so he was feeling that he would take the other part of leveling up his city’s heart through the upgrading of his sub cities.

He had even started considering leaving his golems stationed there for now, as each one was positioned to face the borders. That way, he could at least be certain those cities would not fall into the hands of another lord until he found someone suitable to fill the position.

However, apart from all that, he had now learned more about the situation of this new world, and just as he expected, there were several ways to grow stronger.

Right now, he has a new goal, and that is to become a King-rank ruler as that was the quickest way to go back home.
