Unlike human lords, the vampire Counts and Werewolf Enforcers were much more loyal and bound to their king.Normally, lords were all subordinates of their king, and they could rally their armies for the king’s sake and go to war against a neighboring region if the king called for it, but the Wilderness King was the only human king who did not act like one.
In fact, despite the fact that his region was steadily deteriorating, he still acted as if he did not care, it was because of this long neglect that the twins had dared to break one of his most common rules: never attack a fellow human lord under him.
“What do you know? The fact that two of his lords are now fighting each other will lead to some kind of interference on his map, shopping any probing in that area for a while, so even when we invade, that man who find joy on spying on his lords will still think it is only the lords fighting among themselves.”
“That is why I am not sending you toward the domain where the fight is currently happening, but to one farther away from it, this is just a way of being cautious, in case he comes to settle things, we won’t be there.”
“However, we must be quick to take control of one of the cities, because that is the only way we will have encroached on his land, and by then, he won’t be able to do a thing, as it would be left to the human lords under him, and considering they the in fighting among them this would be their weakest state.”
“As for you complaining that you only have five thousand men, I assure you, you don’t even need that many, this human lord we are attacking just took over the domain he has control over. Though we don’t have much information about him, we can tell that he is already a Level 2 human lord.”
“Which means the limit of his army can only be ten thousand. But then again, he couldn’t have gotten ten thousand men already. He just started. So this is yours to win, with five thousand warriors you could even occupy multiple cities and create some kind of barricade to protect yourselves from all angles, ” Lupus said with a smile.
“My king, don’t be offended by my pestering questions. If you have thought all of this through, then why exactly are we giving the orcs access to our teleportation axis and also allowing them to encroach on this land with us? There is only one human lord in the domain we are attacking, which means we would be sharing it with them. Why do we have to share with the orcs?”
“Well, while my plan might be laid out perfectly, you must always remember to have a backup plan lying around in case things get messed up. That is the reason I want them there. If things go sideways, we won’t be facing the fire alone. With two different races attacking, it would split the attention of all human lords who think they can support, that way we don’t suffer all fire.”
“Basically, this new lord is fucked, because he will be sandwiched from four sides, two fromhis collegue and another two from us” Lupus said,
The Enforcer before him started chuckling evilly, finding himself loving the king’s plan to divide up Alec’s domain and seize their own portion before the Wilderness King could even know what was happening.
And even when he finally found out, it would already be too late, because one of them would have occupied the land with a token created by the Werewolf King, which would make it fall under his jurisdiction.
If the Wilderness King entered the land to attack as a King-rank existence, he would face a whole load of penalties, it was one of the reasons he had positioned Alec to battle the orcs that once occupied a space in his lands instead of destroying them himself.
However, unlike the orcs, the werewolves did not believe Alec could defeat them.
And that was because while the orc kingdom was quite far away, to the point that it would take days to travel without the Werewolf King giving them access to his teleportation axis, the same could not be said for the werewolves.
They were basically like Alec’s next-door neighbors, any attack on the captured city, and other enforcers of the werewolf king could come running to provide support.
_ _
Connan had received attack alerts from both cities, and since he could not be in two places at once, he had the Amazon Queen go to one of the cities in his stead while he headed toward the city Hunter was guarding.
And with him were five hundred Barbarian warriors, each one exuding a Tier 6 aura and covered in the best Tier 4 spirit equipment sets, as for Connan himself, he was clad in a Tier 5 spirit equipment set.
Normally when they were summoned, out of a hundred, maybe only one would come out as a Tier 6 expert, while around ten could be summoned as Tier 5 experts. The rest were all Tier 4.
It was just the way they were summoned by the system.
However, Alec was sure of one thing. If he wanted the official army of his domain to take charge and scare others on the battlefield, then they had to be exceptional, and the state they were currently being summoned in was nothing of the sort.
Instead, they were starting to look more and more like a bunch of warriors he couldn’t rely on, which was why Alec decided to try something out.
All those times he had entered the Amulet World without participating in the main fight, only arranging the loot, it had all been for his grand plan of creating one of the most fearsome armies the Wilderness region had ever seen.
Since his family was not here again, and he had already given his group more than enough pills to help them cultivate until they reached the Tier 7 realm, he has been accumulating way too many pulls in hand with nowhere to use them in, until he decided it was now time to invest in the summoned units.
Though he did not know if it would work, however when he first had Connan swallow a cultivation pill and the energy was digested almost instantly and was absorbed by him, just like when Alec took pills himself, it left him shocked.
To confirm that he was not hallucinating, he had a normal Tier 4 barbarian soldier take a Tier 6 cultivation pill before him, the instant the barbarian swallowed the pill, Alec activated his energy eyes and watched as the energy in the pill burst out like a wild beast after settling straight into the warrior’s stomach.
The next thing that happened was that, even though it looked like the warrior would burst apart at any moment from the excess energy, every time he reached that breaking point, he would make a minor breakthrough, expelling some impurities from his body and enlarging his vessel so he could take in even more energy.
And through his energy eyes, Alec could see that the energy of the pill was not just being used to push the barbarian warrior to the next realm at a fast pace.
After entering a new minor realm, that same energy seemed to be used to make the foundation firmer, the body and muscles were compressed and redeveloped with the energy to match the barbarian’s new realm, making his foundation more stable before the leftover energy was used to push him forward again.
This process continued before Alec’s eyes for about fifteen minutes.
Fifteen minutes of the warrior enduring pain.
Though at the start, it was pure suffering, toward the end, he seemed to have become more at ease with the pain.
And when all the energy had finally settled and been completely spent, the barbarian warrior had already reached the Peak Tier 5 realm from Low Tier 4, and it was not a shaky Tier 5 warrior either, but one with a firm foundation.
At that moment, Alec looked toward the system spirit that had been watching with him, his expression clearly asking for an explanation.
