Deep within the forested borderlands adjacent to the Wilderness region, the werewolf king Lupus snapped his eyes open.

He had been jolted from his slumber by a sudden sensation, the severing of one of his strongest pack bonds. Such a disruption carried a painful sting that could mean only a few things.

A bond typically broke if a subordinate chose to start their own pack, or if they died. However, the commander Lupus had sent was someone he believed to be incredibly loyal to him, a werewolf who would never desert him.

It was this absolute trust that had in him that led Lupus to place five thousand werewolf warriors under his command to capture a human city under his banner.

With defection out of the question, the sudden disconnection left him to conclude that his subordinate had been killed.

“Hmm, I guess I will have to send a message to the Orcs to find out how their own invasion went,” Lupus murmured to himself.

Though pained by the death of his subordinate and the loss of five thousand warriors, he recognized the harsh reality that his opportunity to launch an attack on the new human lord’s domain had utterly failed.

For now, he planned to wait and closely observe the reaction of the Wilderness King.

Four human lords paced anxiously within the throne room of one of the Twin brothers who had spearheaded the assault on Alec’s domain.

They were waiting for the specific lord who had originally supplied them with the intelligence on Alec to arrive.

After a delay that made them increasingly restless, a sudden flash from the teleportation nexus(changed from axis) signaled that their long-awaited guest had finally arrived.

The guards around the teleportation site immediately escorted the newcomer straight toward the throne room where the other four lords were waiting.

The figure entered wrapped in a heavy black cloak, as soon as he stood before them, Dave, the black Twin, demanded in a fit of fury,

“Liam, do you think so little of us? Do you think being family means we wouldn’t execute you? Why did you give us such unreliable, incomplete information regarding this new human lord?”

Liam Tudor pulled back his hood and shook his head, exposing his face.

“My elders, Dave Tudor the Black and David Tudor the White, I only just received word of the battle’s outcome,” he replied.

“However, I did not deceive you regarding the information I shared. I can absolutely assure you that when he was examined, his potential was clearly determined to be just F-rank.”

Had Alec been present in this gathering, he would have recognized the informant as Liam Tudor, a royal from the Northern Kingdom who had entered the origin realm alongside the other mages.

In fact, every single lord gathered in that room belonged to the bloodline of the Northern Royal family, The royal families of the five continents had already established a foothold in the origin realm for some time even before the situation of picking a hundred new lords to build ahead for the integration of the five kingdoms into the origin realm,

And among the northern royal family the twins were the ones who held the greatest influence, this was because their cities had already achieved Level 2, allowing them to accumulate significantly more resources than the other two Tudor lords.

Consequently, they served as the main pillar of support for all the Tudor clans members that had arrived in the origin realm after them.

The other two lords present in the room with them were Rhen and Flint Tudor, both of them were in the Tier 8 realm, and even though the city levels of Rhen and Flint might still be at level one, their accumulated resources and army strength were far beyond anything the newly summoned lords could ever compete with.

Because they belonged to other regions, they were unable to openly support the twins’ attack, as doing so would be deemed an act of war against the Wilderness region—a situation where the Wilderness King could demand their execution, and their own King would readily comply to appease his anger and avert a conflict between two human king regions.

Although they refrained from any direct combat the twins had in the wilderness realm, however they had been the ones supplying the twins with provisions at a reasonable price ever since they arrived in the origin realm, enabling the steady advancement of their army within the Wilderness region, and a much better life for their citizens which is why they had many move towards them.

Yet, they remained dissatisfied with their current status.

Consequently, after taking Liam under their wing and discovering that Alec hailed from their native kingdom, they pressed him for actionable intelligence to use against Alec, as they were deeply interested in his territory.

Alec had expanded his domain significantly, ruling over ten thriving cities, due to him getting benefits as the leader of the Tier 6 ranking.

Due to the strategic value of those ten cities that have flourished due to his ranking position, those cities produced bountiful harvests that were ten times better than what the other two family members could provide, this would allow the twins to firmly secure their own food supply, which they could then use as leverage to coerce other human lords in the wilderness region, whose territories were plagued by severe hunger—into surrendering to their rule.

And also splitting these ten territories among themselves would have brought them much closer to upgrading their own city to the 3rd level, this was why they regarded Alec’s domain as their prime opportunity for advancement, particularly as more human lords would come under them, drawn in by food used as an enticement.

Unfortunately for them, their grand designs had completely fallen apart.

“Liam, the force we faced should not be something someone an F-rank potential human lord should possess. In fact, even the candidate with the highest potential wouldn’t have been able to enter the second level yet, but he clearly has.”

“There is obviously something more to this boy that even you are unaware of. For now, we have lost the battle, so we must recoup our losses and rally more people to our cause if we hope to prevail over him,” Dave, the White Twin, said.

Their plan had always been to double-cross the other human lords who had attacked alongside them.

However, now that those lords had been killed, they intended to absorb those territories into their own fold to grow significantly stronger, while securing new allies among the wilderness lords for another assault against Alec. More than ever, they were fixated on seizing Alec’s land, coveting the numerous resources he possessed.

While this family of five was holding their meeting, Zenith had finally encroached into the domain of the Twins.

“Zenith, they will realize we are here soon enough, so why not make a spectacular entrance from the beginning?” Alec remarked with a smile, while tapping the back of his wyvern.

In response, Zenith let out a highly disturbing, metallic screech; in the next instant, it dove down from the skies toward the city wall ahead of them.

The moment the guards and the handful of soldiers atop the city wall saw Zenith’s massive silhouette, they cringed in sheer terror, completely frozen and unable to decide what to do.

"Fire!" Alec commanded, as Zenith opened his jaws, unleashing a scorching torrent of golden flames onto the city wall.

The extreme temperature of the wyvern’s breath melted right through the stone ramparts and incinerated the gates below, before flapping his wings, and then soaring slightly higher into the sky , as Zenith surged directly toward the center of the city.

"Yeah, that’s definitely going to get their attention," Alec remarked from where he sat atop the back of his wyvern.
