Chapter 1219: Alec Gordons’ Wilderness Region Lord [1].

This was the sole reason the Were-tiger general intended to make his move as well; by this stage, the hybrid unit—the cavalry’s second division—had already breached the line forged by the first.

Although the bearmen attempted to squeeze them from both sides and eliminate them with a pincer attack, however; the strategy faltered, as the hybrid unit proved remarkably effective at wiping out their adversaries.

Unlike the heavy armored group, they showed that they did not rely on overwhelming brute force. Instead, they adopted a tight formation, maintaining close proximity to one another.

Even though many of their mage soldiers had not reached the same realm of power as the Bear beastmen they faced, their seamless cooperation enabled them to bring down their opponents, a feat made possible only by operating in absolute sync with their allies.

Trailing behind them were the vagabonds of the cavalry unit, they avoided engaging the bearmen single-handedly, relying constantly on fire support from their companions.

Yet, their refusal to fight honorably wasn’t even the most infuriating thing about them, it was their habit of stealing kills and openly pillaging, as each one of them carried a small sack slung over their shoulder and tied before their chest, and Jake could now confirm that these bags possessed spatial properties.

No matter how much loot they stuffed inside, even if the items were clearly larger than the pouches themselves, the sacks still never showed any sign of bulging.

Meanwhile, the horse archers demonstrated the highest mobility on the battlefield, as they relentlessly harassed both flanks of the Bearmen, providing crucial cover for the two other cavalry divisions that had breached the enemy lines and keeping the Bearmen from encircling them.

Even while constantly evading a small pursuing squad of Were-Tigers, the cavalry archers were still able to manage their chance at striking at other enemy clusters around the other two cavalry divisions.

To the Were-Tigers, being casually ignored while in pursuit felt like a direct insult, as if the mounted archers did not view them as a threat at all.

All of this unfolded while the Spartan infantry struggled far behind to close the gap, because Unbreakable had ordered the cavalry to charge ahead at full speed, the foot soldiers of the other two military units had been left trailing considerably in the rear.

This infuriated Leon, as he realized that Unbreakable had done this because he was well aware that his unit possessed superior speed and mobility than the rest, so he had ordered the advance simply because he wanted to monopolize all the merits of slaying the beastkins.

With no other alternative, Leon could only pray that his troops arrived before complete annihilation befell the Bearmen front line.

Bang!!! Boom!!!

Just as the two Beastkin generals launched into motion, their trajectory toward the central engagement was abruptly intercepted mid-air by Alec.

Clad in a loose kimono with a Changdao rested at his left waist area, Alec fixed a stern gaze upon the pair, he wasn’t smiling like he usually does and this was because he still had to oversee two additional sectors, so he was determined to conclude the battle swiftly.

“Out of our way, puny human! You are not our target,” shouted the Were-tiger general after evaluating Alec and assessing him to be merely a Peak Tier 6 mage, the Bearman general on the other hand remained bewildered as to why such a young mage would dare block their advance, pondering when humanity had grown so indifferent to the threat of death.

“Ah, my apologies. It appears I have yet to properly introduce myself,” Alec began, as the totem tattoos of his newly upgraded spirit equipment set began to pulse with a bright glow across the exposed part of his skin.

Within a fraction of a second, the armor spread swiftly to encase his entire body, and by the time he stood fully enveloped in the Infernal Sovereign Set, the gaze of the two generals turned toward him, however now their eyes were filled with sudden dread.

For the first time since the outbreak of this war, they were confronted by an opponent who made them feel the genuine threat of death, it unsettled them deeply that despite planning on fighting side by side as mutual support, the mortal dread still took hold of them, especially considering the threat originated from someone they were certain was merely a peak Tier 6 mage.

That a mid-rank mage could imperil warriors who had already begun shaping their own domains seemed utterly unheard of.

Yet, they were unable to avert their eyes from the mage standing before them, as his helm was crowned with horns on either side, and his cape drifting gently on the breeze.

The intricately engraved runes visible across the armor clearly signaled that the set was approaching high rank.

“Who are you?!” the Were-tiger general interjected before Alec could even finish his introduction. Nearby, the Bearman general had completely shifted his focus away from Unbreakable, no longer giving a second thought to the slaughter of his own subordinates.

His entire attention was locked onto the figure before him, acutely aware that a single moment’s distraction could cost him his life.

“I am Alec Gordons, lord of this domain you decided to attack, had you conducted proper research, you would not be struggling to figure out who I truly am. Now, make your move—I have other matters to attend to once I finish dealing with the two of you,” Alec stated, shifting his left hand toward the hilt of his Changdao.

He exerted pressure with his hand, pushing the hilt downward so the rest of the blade rose behind him, though he simply hovered in mid-air without assuming a formal stance, an inexplicable aura hung about him that unnerved the opposing generals.

To their eyes, his relaxed posture seemed riddled with openings, yet every time they attempted to visualize an attack in their minds, they foresaw only their own demise.

Exchanging a glance, the two generals recognized they shared the exact same foreboding instinct, without a second thought or a moment’s hesitation, they surged forward, dashing toward Alec in tandem. “Go!”
