Chapter 1796 Bodily capabilities

"Understood!" Jabba - who was supposed to be heading toward an entirely different sector - replied quickly and without the slightest hesitation... as if the moment the order reached his ears, his mind locked onto it and considered the matter finished.

"R-right." Shaddad, on the other hand, scratched his head for several long seconds, clearly uneasy. "I'll speak with Her Majesty Althera to freeze my professor membership for a while; if she refuses for any reason, then I'll resign immediately without wasting time."

"You could simply resign straight away from the very beginning." Robin gave a wide, unrestrained smile, one that showed both reassurance and a hint of amusement. "You've stayed here for far too long without achieving any real breakthrough. This place offers you only the library - and yes, it's a remarkable library, perhaps one of the best of its kind - but tell me... is that library truly worth it when compared to the three Master Laws I entrusted you with, or even to most of the well-known Fundamental Laws we already possess?"

Robin shook his head slowly, as if dismissing the idea. "You should start preparing for your new future - a future where you'll stand as a pillar supporting our Sky Opening City, and in return, the city will support you just as strongly. A future where you won't panic about funding your research ever again, nor fear authority, nor tiptoe around anyone's influence!" Then he pointed toward both him and Jabba. "And as long as the Soul Society remains active, the two of you can still communicate every day through the meeting chamber and exchange discoveries, even if each of you ends up stationed in a completely different sector!"

"...Right." Shaddad finally nodded, though his voice carried a slight tremble. "I'll begin the resignation procedures."

Truthfully, Shaddad - who had not set foot outside the academy for hundreds of thousands of years, spending most of his life working alone and avoiding responsibility - felt utterly terrified at the idea of stepping out into the vast world and becoming the head of anything. This wasn't just a change in location; it was a colossal shift, a true challenge that could reshape his entire existence.

"Agreed, then," Robin said cheerfully as he clapped his hands. At that moment the golden glow in his eyes surged intensely before dimming again as he turned his attention toward Jabba and Shaddad.

He placed two fingers gently against his own forehead; for a brief heartbeat of silence then two luminous spheres shot out from his fingers, streaking toward Jabba and Shaddad, who did not resist or even flinch.

"This..?!"

Both men shut their eyes instinctively, murmuring at the exact same moment.

"These are several points I noticed can still be strengthened within the array, along with suggestions for possible fixes." Robin answered calmly, as if he were discussing something trivial, then produced two metallic plates engraved with dense runes.

"....?!" Jabba and Shaddad opened their eyes wide and exchanged a quick but stunned glance... had he truly extracted all those points merely by observing the array for barely a minute? The difference between them was so vast it felt almost unreal.

According to the master's notes, if those points were corrected properly, they could boost the array's efficiency by an additional 30%, effectively reducing operating costs by the same amount - an unbelievable improvement, the kind that could overturn entire research budgets!

But their shock did not last long.

"Catch." Robin tossed the two metal plates toward them with casual precision. "Study these thoroughly before beginning any attempt to further enhance the array. Do not rush; understand everything properly first."

"This..?" Jabba muttered, still dazed.

"...The Major Fundamental Living Body Law?" Shaddad suddenly shouted, his voice cracking from disbelief. "You have THE Major Fundamental Living Body Law?!"

The Major Fundamental Living Body Law... most people mistakenly link it with raw physical strength or with the traditional cultivation paths of the body, but the two concepts are worlds apart.

The Major Fundamental Living Body Law, or just known as the Body Law is a natural-energy linked Law, similar in nature to the Laws of Space, Destruction, and others like them. In fact, there already exists a Behemoth who rose to supreme power by using this very major law - a being who managed to seize control of a galactic seed and even dominate an entire sector.

As for its applications? They are countless - but the most crucial, the one that allowed that Behemoth to rise so dramatically, is its ability to amplify or diminish physical tasks to an extraordinary degree, reshaping limitations and turning impossible feats into achievable realities.

For example, a user of the Law can multiply their senses for a limited duration, sharpening them to the point where they become more sensitive than those of beasts.

They can amplify the electrical neural signals inside their own body and channel them outward as bursts capable of stunning or paralyzing their

enemies.

They can increase their heart rate to generate explosive bursts of strength, accelerate the production of healing and stimulatory hormones, and in certain circumstances even enhance their biological growth rate to enlarge their bodies dramatically or reduce them, achieving the exact opposite effect when needed.

And even that is only the surface... among the elite practitioners, there are far more extreme and outrageous feats: modifying bone density to become unbelievably hard or as flexible as serpents; altering it further to a rubber-like state that allows their arms to stretch for miles; shifting the structure of their facial features to produce temporary disguises; lowering the temperature of their blood to stop bleeding instantly; or speeding up the regenerative cells responsible for restoration so rapidly that they can regrow entire limbs as if molding new flesh out of thin air.

It is said that during one of the early battles of the Body Law Behemoth - long before he gained his fearsome reputation - he deactivated every pain receptor in his body and continued fighting relentlessly, even as thick chunks of flesh were sliding off him to the ground on both sides!

The body is the soul's first tool, the oldest and yet the most advanced vessel at the same time. It is said that the one who truly masters it, who understands every mechanism and can manipulate every process, essentially holds

dominion over everything else!

The staggering number of applications that can be extracted from The Major Fundamental Living Body Law is almost beyond imagination. It is widely regarded as the most branching and versatile path of all, with more secondary laws under its umbrella than any other law system so many, in fact, that scholars claim they cannot be fully counted or categorized.

"Yes. I heard about it by pure coincidence a while ago, and ever since, I kept digging and investigating until I eventually uncovered the entire path on my own. I haven't even had the chance to deliver it to Sky Opening City yet... Robin massaged his forehead lightly, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Or perhaps I simply see no real benefit in doing so."

"What do you mean no benefit?!" Shaddad almost lost control of his voice, his expression twisting s if he were hearing sheer insanity. "A Behemoth conquered an entire sector using this exact law!"

"Hmm. Its applications truly are limitless... but even limitless things come with boundaries." Robin tapped on the metal plate. "Take electrical-signal attacks, for instance - the shocks produced will always be weaker than those of someone who uses the Lightning Law directly. As for cell stimulation and regeneration? They will be slower and less efficient than a practitioner of the vitality Law. Enlarging the body, reinforcing the bones? Anyone following the Body Cultivation Path as their core discipline will surpass them in that specific

aspect."

He lifted both shoulders in a calm shrug. "To me, a follower of this law is someone who studied a piece of every subject, gaining fragments of many strengths, but never reaching mastery in any single one of them."

"Yes, but he can use all of them simultaneously!!" Shaddad practically screamed, waving his arms wildly before pointing toward Holak. "You're the commander of the Imperial Guards, aren't you? Say something!"

"...." Holak stepped forward without rush, took the plate from Shaddad's hand,

and infused his soul sense into it for nearly a full minute. Then he returned the plate, raised his head, and locked eyes with Robin. "Boss, I will build a fifth division based on this law. Do I have your approval?"

"Hmm?" Robin arched an eyebrow. "Do you truly believe it would be useful within the Imperial Guard of all places?"

"I will force it to become useful." Holak nodded with steady confidence. "Its abilities may be individually limited, yes, but they are numerous and highly adaptable. With correct training, proper ability-combination, and enough battlefield experience, they can become war machines not inferior to the original three squads - perhaps even more flexible in certain combat.

plate. He copied the main law onto it with a single touch, then handed the new plate to Holak. "Very well. I will look forward to seeing the fifth division, then."
