Chapter 1809 Party in Sector 99

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

In a certain place within the Mid Sector 99-

In a location swallowed by utter darkness, dripping with humidity, and

suffocating from the lack of air... a place where not even the faintest sound of an ant's step would normally echo.

Yet in this strange moment, musical notes were being woven through the stillness-

"Du du duuu du du~~" Wade swaggered forward with exaggerated sideways steps, humming cheerfully as he advanced through a space where even the sharpest soul sense failed to spread a single inch.

Zwooo

A beam of compressed energy shot directly toward the center of Wade's forehead.

But-whooosh-the shot passed straight through him as if he were nothing more than a projected phantom, then continued until it erupted behind him in a violent flare.

BOOOOOM!

The explosion released a brief wave of light before fading back into gloom. In that brief shimmer, the outlines of the place finally emerged...

Wade's grin widened as he saw the beautiful scene reveal itself-beautiful even though he already knew what to expect long before stepping inside.

He saw a floor carpeted thickly with Pearls, shimmering softly like a bed of stars. He saw numerous plants arranged with almost ceremonial care. He saw miniature hills of veined, radiant metals-minerals so lustrous they seemed to drink in whatever stray light reached them, like parched soil yearning for rain. Speaking of water-Wade spotted a small pool of bluish liquid, its surface swirling faintly with energy.

He also noticed four pieces of scattered equipment... old, mismatched, looking almost worthless at first glance, yet unmistakably surpassing the Epic Rank in quality!

With a single sweeping glance, Wade estimated the Pearls alone at nearly 100 million Pearls. As for the planetary-grade gear, the rare raw materials, and the concentrated essence pool-together, they easily totaled another 200 million. "My beloved treasures!" Wade spread his arms dramatically, voice dripping with affection.

Zwooo Zwooo Zwooo

Energy beams fired again from three different angles.

Once more, the shots phased harmlessly through him. He was using the Spatial Displacement Shield-a technique where he opened tiny, precisely angled portals moments before each hit, letting every beam slip through him and reappear elsewhere.

But then-

Zwooo Zwoo0

More shots. Faster, denser. Even solid condensed-energy lances formed in the air, slowly tracking toward him. Several automated cannons materialized from hidden compartments, all locking onto him with murderous intent.

"What an unnecessary headache... Why put all these defenses inside their own treasury? Aren't they worried about blowing up their precious riches?" Wade finally scowled, brushing ash out of his hair.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

-One hour later-

Whoosh

"Tsk tsk~" Wade stepped into the sunlight once more through a small shimmering portal. Behind him, a grand palace had been torn apart-half already rubble, the other half still being battered by leftover defense mechanisms.

Despite all that destruction, Wade stood with the relaxed posture of someone returning from a pleasant stroll.

His armor was dented in dozens of places, his face marked with faint burn trails and specks of soot, yet the wild smile on his lips never faltered.

"Kikikiki... exactly what I expected from the treasuries of the Millennial Empires. This one was the toughest I've stolen so far. Honestly, the treasury itself was a treasure. Truly-when it comes to the Millennial Empires, even their

'poverty' is richer than most civilizations."

Then he lifted his hand slowly, studying his fingers one by one.

"Kikikiki..."

No fewer than twenty spatial rings were stacked tightly across them, glinting with hidden wealth.

He lowered his hand and shifted his gaze to the horizon. His smile remained frozen, but the laughter drained out of him. His eyes sharpened, turning predatory... thirsty.

Boom Boom

Wade stared at a city-an enormous metropolis so vast that its walls couldn't

be seen even with enhanced sight.

Wade stared at a massacre.

"No-stop!!"

"That's enough! That's enough, please!!"

"What happened here?! Someone help... help!!!"

Inside the city, no fewer than two hundred Black Wasps swarmed through the

streets.

Their infamous pitch-black armor devoured the light around them. Their assassination-style tactics-vanishing the instant they were spotted, only to reappear for a lethal sting-were on full display.

Their cold, destructive brutality was directed not at the people... but at the city

itself.

The wasps were not attacking citizens-they were methodically annihilating the infrastructure, tearing apart the very bones of the metropolis.

When they descend upon a city or a kingdom, they do not target soldiers or civilians. Instead, they head straight for the defense centers, then the command hubs, then the tall structures and treasuries. After that, they sweep through every corner with a brutal, almost mechanical thoroughness, destroying any standing building until the entire area becomes uninhabitable, nothing more than a dead zone of crushed stone and burning metal.

Want to stop them? Try. Go ahead and try.

"Stop..." A massive man spun around frantically, panic and dread carved across his face-despite the fact that the wasps were deliberately avoiding him as if he were nothing but background scenery in a nightmare too large for him to

influence.

Never before had two hundred Wasps appeared in a single city. This was chaos incarnate-raw, shrieking, overwhelming chaos. There was no coordination among them; each one did whatever it wanted, attacked whatever it pleased, and moved like a lone beast following its own twisted instincts.

This wasn't the first time the Black Wasps assaulted one of his dens. In fact,

over the past thirty years, the Wasps had erased and plundered more than 600 cities across 250 different planets, leaving behind a trail of misery and devastation so horrific that it forced even the empire's most indifferent officials to take notice.

But today's assault was unlike any before it....

The Black Wasps had gathered a full two hundred of their kind and launched an

attack on one of the empire's ancient core cities-one of the main capitals of a major faction, a city that had stood for thousands of years as a symbol of their unshakable power.

And that symbol... was being obliterated, shattered, and erased from existence

at this very moment!

"Daaaamn youuuuu!!"

A layer of armor flared to life around the giant man's hands, shining like molten

metal as he delivered two consecutive strikes toward the closest Wasp he

managed to spot.

Two blows-each one carrying the full might of Peak Nexus State!! A level of force that could rupture mountains and sink continents.

BAM BAM

The first strike missed, slicing through the air with a thunderous boom, but the second smashed directly into the Wasp, pinning it-and the ground beneath it- into a deep crater that sent tremors rolling trough nearby streets.

"Pffft-"

The Black Wasp spat blood, its mid-Epic armor dented, ruptured, and even torn

open enough for parts of its internal organs to be visible, pulsing weakly as it

twitched.

But-whoosh-the Wasp opened a spatial gate at point-blank range and escaped alive!! Even in its ruined state, it fled like a phantom.

"Damn it!!"

The giant man nearly lost his mind. Even this wasn't enough to kill a single

Wasp? What about the other two hundred swarming all around him, tearing the city apart as if it were made of paper?

If each one took two or three hits like that, the entire city would collapse-no, it was already collapsing-and that's assuming he even had enough energy left for that many attacks in the first place!

If Robin were here, he would have recognized him at once-this was

Graghnakh, father of one of Robin's seven disciples and a battle-hardened

commander of one of the factions of the Eternal Turtle Millennium Empire.

"Hey!"

A voice came from the direction of the imperial palace, casual and almost

playful despite the carnage.

"Huh?"

Graghnakh snapped his head back, only to see Wade standing in front of the

palace, hands covered in rings that flickered with strange lights. At once,

Graghnakh's pupils shrank in disbelief and rage.

"No..."

"Next time we'll be attacking the new Nebo-4 City! Make sure you prepare

well!" Wade cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted loudly as if

sharing friendly travel plans.

"Wade, you lying coward!!" Jraghnakh roared, his voice cracking with fury. "Last time you said that, you attacked a different one instead!!"

"No, no, I'll be honest this time!" Wade replied with full seriousness-yet the

mischievous curl at the corner of his mouth betrayed him immediately. "You said the same thing last time-right after lying the time before it!!"

Graghnakh reinforced the armor around his hands, unleashing a powerful aura that sent ripples through the very fabric of space.

"You're not leaving this place alive."

"Kikiki, I will leave-and I'll keep attacking you until I take or destroy everything

you own." Wade raised his head, eyes glinting with cold amusement. "That should teach you not to anger someone whose wrath you cannot possibly withstand."
