Once again, Hedrick - the man who had spent nearly three full years sitting in complete silence, simply watching the sector tear itself apart without interfering - suddenly returned to become the center of every eye and every trembling thought. The Behemoth of Purity, the Behemoth of Curses, and an alliance formed by the six mighty Millennial Empires were all standing upon the same battlefield, armies stretching from horizon to horizon... and despite this overwhelming assembly of giants, Hedrick somehow became the brightest and most terrifying star of the scene yet again.
Destroying TWO top-tier military bases fortified with the strongest mobile arrays known in the universe, wiping out two hundred fleets in one
coordinated strike, and killing a seven-star Royal Soul Master with a single decisive blow...
The Son of Destruction revived ancient nightmares and reminded the entire cosmos of what he was truly capable of, they began to remember who Invaded an entire sector in behave of his father back then!
Naturally, such a feat did not come without a heavy and painful cost...
Hedrick lost two hundred fleets of his own despite having the numerical advantage, along with millions of soldiers whose souls vanished in the chaos, and several of his remaining fleets suffered partial structural devastation that would take years to repair. Those military bases, along with the intricate defensive arrays forged in the Galaxy of Curses, were not mere decorations - they were genuine instruments of annihilation.
Hedrick was forced to descend personally into the heart of several arrays to crumble them after they had already ravaged his troops. Of course, he never emerged unscathed. He managed to rescue at least another two hundred fleets from being wiped out, but in exchange he was struck by multiple terrifying curses released from the arrays - curses strong enough to kill entire legions.
His fight against the Royal Soul Master was equally brutal and far from effortless. Killing a seven-star Royal Soul Master was something considered utterly impossible for almost anyone alive. Yet the Royal Soul Master sensed Hedrick's deteriorated state after tanking the arrays' strikes, grew greedy, and gambled on killing him rather than retreating as he should have.
Hedrick pushed forward endlessly, even while suffering a Blood Curse, a Body Curse, and three high-tier soul curses that clawed at his soul, before finally smashing his opponent's head into nothingness.
The death of a seven-star Royal Soul Master - an act unheard of for epochs! Of course, none of these details became known publicly. The masses only learned about the overwhelming victory followed by Hedrick's abrupt retreat. The Shadow Swords broadcasted the news of the battle across an immense range of star systems - but only the parts of the story that were meant to be known.
While Hedrick was busy suppressing the curses that forced him to spit blood and pieces of flesh, that made him bleed from his ear and eye, that dragged him inch by inch closer to death every day... and while his generals and the senior commanders of the Shadow Swords rushed across the stars gathering every possible remedy to stabilize him... the outside world was swept by a violent, unstoppable storm of chaos.
When the full news reached the nearly seven thousand fleets gathered in one place, everything changed instantly, as if the fabric of the sector itself trembled.
The commander of Cursed Armada erupted in uncontrollable fury and immediately declared full-scale war on Hedrick and anyone sympathetic to him. He ordered his army to open fire on the withdrawing forces of the six Millennial Empires. He personally advanced with eight Dominating-level experts, dozens in the Nexus State, and thousands of World Cataclysms and Great Soul Masters, unleashing an overwhelming assault with no hesitation whatsoever!
The retreating armies of the Big Six were struck by a treacherous blow while their backs were still turned something that had never happened in any official war throughout recorded history, not between to sides of that standing. Yet their numbers were far too vast for them to fall quickly. In mere moments, the six millennial emperors roared their commands, ordered a full reversal, and an earth-shaking, star-splitting clash ignited between both sides.
But unfortunately, that initial treacherous strike shattered more than the front lines it toppled dozens of their fleets before they even had a real chance to respond, plunging morale into a steep collapse and leaving commanders scrambling to regain control of the situation.
Right after the clash ignited in full force, Sharmir issued a direct, uncompromising command to the forces of the Bright Galaxy, ordering them to join the assault and aid him in suppressing what he labeled as criminals. He warned that if they refused, they would be considered accomplices in establishing this expanding nest of corruption in the heart of Middle Sector 101. And almost immediately, the six Millennial Emperors sent their own desperate pleas to the army of the Bright Galaxy, urging them to intervene. They stressed repeatedly that they had retreated only because Bright Galaxy had commanded it and gave them safety, and that this disgraceful, backstabbing ambush had struck them because of those very orders!
Under this crushing pressure from both sides, the army of the Bright Galaxy abruptly turned around and withdrew from the battlefield altogether.
When the six Emperors saw the unexpected withdrawal, they had no choice but to retreat as well. They pulled back slowly, cautiously, doing everything in their power to minimize further losses. Nearly three thousand fleets remained aligned in tight formation, their cannons locked on target and firing in dense, continuous volleys while their engines pushed them steadily backward.
True, the numbers on paper suggested an advantage - roughly three thousand fleets against two thousand- but the true battlefield told a very different
story:
There were far more enemies in the Law Domination realm.
Far more Nexus State experts and Royal Soul Masters.
And an overwhelming number of Great Soul Masters drowning their spacecrafts in cursed techniques every single heartbeat.
On top of that, the Armada of the cursed Behemoth were not normal fleets by any measure. Their armor, their firepower, and their monstrous capacity to form high-tier cursed arrays mid-battle turned the field into a nightmare that even seasoned commanders struggled to navigate.
The Big Six had come simply to intimidate Sharmir with their combined presence - to demonstrate unity and hope it would force him to stop. They knew well that the technological and individual power gap was enormous... but they had not imagined it would be this catastrophic.
A direct battle today would devastate both sides, yes - but in the end the united armada of the Big Six would be the one to collapse entirely, and they would not take more than half of the cursed Behemoth's armada with them. After only the first few hours of true engagement, this grim reality became
undeniable.
And so, with humiliation sinking deep into their bones, they retreated. After those violent and chaotic events, the next few years passed in a strange,
uneasy calm.
The Bright Galaxy ceased issuing statements, ceased interfering, ceased all public communication. They recalled every military force and every governmental representative and locked themselves inside their galaxy as though hiding behind sealed doors.
The armies of the Alliance of the Bi Six positioned themselves inside the Millennial Empire that had been on the brink of annihilation — outwardly prepared to defend it should the cursed Behemoth's armada move again, but in truth spending their time rebuilding from within: restructuring fleets, reshaping command, rethinking every strategy, and redefining how to confront the cursed Behemoth after witnessing his true might firsthand.
And parallel to all of this, they tried to coordinate with Hedrick.
They had now learned - decisively that any war without Hedrick's involvement, without his terrifying strength and his deep experience in colossal wars spanning hundreds of worlds, would be nothing but chaos. A futile slaughter. A meaningless waste of lives, treasures, and years of accumulated
power.
As for Sharmir, he gave strict orders that his forces were not to move from the spot where the confrontation had occurred. They dug in, anchored themselves, and began constructing a new base this time doubling the number of defensive arrays, reinforcing every wall and layer, and thus building one military fortress equal in scale, cost and power to five full bases combined. This uneasy but persistent calm remained... all the way until the fortieth year. The moment the armies of the Savage Behemoth finally arrived.
