Seconds earlier-"...I'm certain you'll soon receive news that will bring you joy. Farewell for now!" Timari waved toward Robin from behind the mirror, her smile radiant and full of warmth, almost as if it could light up the entire stark white world around her.
In response, whoosh-Robin waved firmly, decisively ending the connection without a single word in return.
Silence-
Inside the boundless world of pure white, Timari remained standing alone after the connection had been severed. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, her expressions began to shift.
The genuine, carefree smile she usually wore had disappeared, replaced by something more thoughtful. Her long, graceful gestures no longer had a place in this quiet, sterile space. Her small eyebrows drew together in a tight knot as she rested her chin thoughtfully on her hand.
"Hm... this sheer volume of profits, coupled with the layers of risk, will undoubtedly require a personal visit," she murmured to herself, her voice barely breaking the stillness around her.
With deliberate motion, Timari raised her hand and tapped. Bing
The white cover that surrounded her fell away like a grand theatrical curtain, revealing a sight both astonishing and almost overwhelming.
A colossal wall stretched upward, vanishing into the impossible heights of the sky, and downward, as though it were trying to pierce the very edge of the universe itself.
The wall was far from empty. It was covered in countless tiny capsules, suspended in perfect, uniform intervals, like meticulously arranged eggs within an immense honeycomb. Some of these capsules were empty, while others contained something-identical fairies, each a perfect replica of the others, frozen in quiet slumber.
Kssh-at that precise moment, one capsule opened. From within emerged a fairy whose eyes were dead, void of light or expression. She stepped carefully away from the wall, and with a single tap of her finger, a cube of blinding white appeared around her.
Whoosh-directly in front of her materialized a spiritual projection, a surreal hybrid of insect and human, three twisted horns curling from its head and a hunched, unsettling posture.
The fairy immediately spoke in a mechanical, emotionless tone:
<Hello, new guest number 88,946,258,753,147,852. How may I assist you?>
In an instant, the same process repeated hundreds of times before Timari. Some of the fairies had already completed their tasks for their respective clients in the same robotic, precise manner that Lord Human had once experienced during his first visit.
Then, as if collapsing from exhaustion, the surrounding white cube crumbled, and the fairies returned to their capsules to sleep once more.
Kssh-as soon as each fairy slipped back into its capsule, a tube-like apparatus extended and connected to the back of their neck, lulling them into a deep, uninterrupted slumber until summoned again.
This was the nerve center of the Soul Society, operating across the entirety of the universe. Here, every action was fully automated. Fairies were crafted from pure soul power, trained with mechanical precision, and kept alive through continuous infusions of soul energy. Every new piece of information gleaned from each fairy was absorbed automatically after every summoning, ensuring the system never lost a single detail.
Yet Timari-could not simply take a random capsule and approach it.
She raised her hand and drew a specific symbol in the air. Multiple options appeared before her, ranging from VIP Hall-1 to VIP Hall-6, each shimmering slightly, awaiting her selection.
She raised her finger again and Bing-she chose VIP Hall-6.
Whoosh the entire scene shifted. The immense wall vanished, taking with it trillions of fairies and their white cubes, leaving nothing but a new
environment.
Timari now found herself in a confined, enclosed space that resembled a small, orderly hall. Around her were roughly a hundred seats, arranged facing cach other. Some were empty, but most were occupied by other fairies, sitting comfortably instead of being cramped inside their capsules. Their eyes were all closed in peaceful rest, waiting to be summoned again.
Timari took several deliberate steps until she reached her own designated seat. She sat down with ease, adjusting herself comfortably. Then, clatch—a tube extended from the seat and connected seamlessly to the back of her head.
In that moment, all life seemed to vanish from the fairy's eyes. Every trace of expression disappeared. She became as lifeless as a doll... perfectly still, reminiscent of the very first time she had encountered Robin.
The emptiness in her gaze was almost unnerving, a stark reminder of the mechanical perfection and complete automation of the Soul Society.
Somewhere in Sector 500-
On a breathtakingly beautiful seaside, the ground was covered only with soft, velvety sand that seemed to stretch endlessly. Not a single rock or shell marred the surface. Above, the sky was decorated with thin, wispy clouds that drifted lazily, partially hiding a deep red sun that seemed impatient to sink below the horizon. Its fading light painted the clouds with shades of crimson and gold, giving the scene a dreamlike glow.
On the far horizon stretched an infinite sea, its surface calm yet alive, and not landmass could be seen. The water shimmered with reflected sunlight, broken occasionally by a few gentle fish gliding through it, or by enormous sea creatures that burst forth to leap high into the air every few seconds, their movements casting ripples that spread like waves of energy across the water. The spectacle gave the place a feeling both tranquil and exhilarating, as if time itself had slowed just to let this moment exist.
Amid this vast, serene scene, there was only one figure-a human girl, appearing to be in her teenage years. She sat alone in a meditative pose directly on the sand, legs crossed, back straight, eyes closed, her focus entirely inward, seemingly absorbed by the slow rhythm of her breathing. Her presence, though quiet, was commanding, almost magnetic, drawing attention without effort.
She wore a snug white-and-red shirt that accentuated her delicate frame, paired with a short skirt that reached her knees. Her hair, dark and silky, was tied back with a gentle red ribbon that fluttered slightly in the sea breeze. Her facial features were perfectly formed, striking even without any adornment. Despite her still-maturing body, she radiated an aura of immense presence; anyone who gazed at her would feel an immediate sense of awe and wonder, realizing instinctively that this was no ordinary human teenager. "Hm?" she murmured softly, opening her radiant, clear eyes. Her eyebrows knit together briefly as if in concentration. She rose to her feet with a fluid motion and began walking deliberately toward the water's edge. Each step was measured, almost ceremonial, as though the very sand responded to her presence, shifting subtly under her weight.
After a few steps, she extended her hand toward the sun, as if to grasp its glowing orb. But-repeat-the sun suddenly transformed in a blink into a smooth, metallic door handle. She turned it gently, stepped through the door it revealed, and allowed it to close silently behind her.
Seconds after she passed through, the beach, the sea, the glowing red sun- everything trembled, quivered, and then disappeared entirely. In its place stood a massive, meticulously arranged chamber, vast enough to make the previous seascape feel like a distat memory. The floor gleamed faintly, reflecting a soft light from above, while the walls seemed to stretch infinitely in all directions, giving the space a surreal, almost otherworldly grandeur.
Step step
The girl moved swiftly through the constantly shifting corridors of the strange,
living building. As she passed, her eyes caught glimpses of dozens of humans and hundreds of otherworldly beings, all bowing or kneeling in respect. Some were so still they seemed carved from stone; others shimmered briefly before reforming behind her as if her passage had momentarily disrupted them. She passed through a few of the creatures, who seemed to bend around her as if acknowledging her authority or presence, only to be restored to their original forms moments later.
At last, she arrived at a colossal gate, adorned with intricate carvings and glowing with a soft, soothing light from its top and bottom. She descended gracefully, adjusting her clothing with care, then tapped twice-tap tap-on the smooth surface.
She tapped in a precise sequence, then placed her hands behind her back, her posture straight and dignified. Her voice, calm but resolute, carried clearly
through the silent hall:
"Elder brother, there is a major deal with Lord Human that requires your personal approval. You will need to see if any modifications must be made before it is published, and you will need to heavily help in the supply chains if
you approve it."
"Hm... something even you cannot authorize on your own?" A calm, deep voice responded instantly from within, as though it had been waiting patiently for her arrival. The door opened slowly, revealing a familiar figure wearing a gentle smile, radiating warmth and authority.
"Come in, little Timari. What has Robin Burton prepared for us this time?"
