"...I think you're overthinking this," Timari hesitated for a brief moment before finally speaking, choosing her words carefully. "Who in the universe is ignorant of the two great poles-the Tyrant Galaxy and the Dreamer Galaxy? Who does not know our standing, our current power, and the weight of our past and future alike? Aside from the Dreamer and the Tyrant, who else controls twenty percent of the visible universe?" She let out a quiet breath. "As we said before, he is maturing, and while doing so, he is deliberately trying to walk alongside the wall-careful, restrained, and mindful of where he steps."She gently raised her hand as if illustrating her point. "If he were dealing with the Behemoth of the Body, for instance, he would deliberately avoid physical combat technologies. That alone would be nothing more than a clear display of respect toward a higher-ranked entity." She lowered her hand back to her knee and smiled faintly. "What truly matters is that he did not cross the red line, and that all of his projects are suitable for publication. That is correct, isn't it?"
"...Yes," Morval nodded slowly. "We will require an enormous number of factories and vast quantities of raw materials to meet market demand once these projects are released. No one in the entire universe is capable of handling this level of industrial production and large-scale delivery pressure except us. We will have to suspend other production lines entirely and allocate a
significant portion of the Courier Army to be dedicated exclusively to servicing these four projects."
"But it's worth it, isn't it?" Timari smiled, her tone confident. "Lord Human specifically requested their publication and an immediate start so that he could save himself from all those threads tightening around his neck. If we meet these demands efficiently, we may secure future contracts for similar projects -projects that could bring us hundreds of billions in profit. If we hesitate or move too slowly..." her smile thinned slightly, "...Lord Human may not live long enough to hand us another project at all, he is in deep trouble."
"You do realize you don't need to call him Lord Human here, don't you?" Morval muttered with mild surprise. "You are one of the ranked daughters of the Dreamer Morpheus himself. It would be an honor for any Behemoth if you personally received them as a guest, Timari."
"Oh? Is that so?" Timari tilted her head slightly, a thoughtful look crossing her face. "It must be habit, then..."
"I've never seen you address the Sorcerer Behemoth, the Behemoth of Corruption, the Behemoth of Oppression, or the Behemoth of Oblivion as 'Lord' in front of me," Morval said, showing a faint smile. "And that's despite the fact that you are responsible for overseeing their fairies as well. Is Robin Burton truly that special?"
"You tell me," Timari's smile returned, subtle but meaningful. "Who else could receive a direct threat from that Syndicate and, on the very same day, receive a visit from the children of the Cosmic Elder?"
"...
Morval's smile disappeared entirely.
Ever since he had heard those words upon Timari's arrival, he had been trying to dismiss them as nothing more than credible but distant news, deliberately occupying his mind with other matters. After all, who could possibly be both this unlucky and this fortunate at the same time, within the same breath? That Syndicate -one that even they, the Dreamer Galaxy itself, do not provoke or interfere with without a compelling reason- had a problem with Robin? And the Cosmic Elder, who had never even granted them a method of contact, had children... and sent them to him to be taught?!
What if those absurd, seemingly reckless messages were not what they appeared to be at all? What if they were encryption-an elaborate veil? What if Robin Burton was sending concealed messages to his agents, messages only they could decipher, while simultaneously deceiving the Soul Society and presenting an entirely different surface truth?
This kind of encryption was, in truth, foolish. The Society could simply track the actions of those individuals afterward and uncover everything without much effort. Even if the surveillance did not originate directly from the Soul Society itself, it could easily dispatch external agents to observe those individuals in the outside world-just as it had been quietly monitoring Robin Burton throughout his entire stay on the commercial planet Zaron.
For that very reason, while continuing his conversation with Timari as though nothing was amiss, he secretly issued orders to conduct his own private investigations, choosing not to rely solely on official channels.
The reality soon became clear: Robin had indeed sent 107 billion pearls to Theo, the Lord of the Shadow Swords, and Theo, in turn, had transferred one hundred billion pearls to the individual overseeing the Syndicate's operations in Mid Sector 101. The trail was clean, direct, and left little room for alternative interpretations.
Morval let out a slow sigh. "I can't vouch for the credibility of his words regarding the children of the Cosmic Elder," he said thoughtfully, "but I suspect that within the next few days, we'll see them appear at the Holy Covenant Academy. He told his subordinate, Morgana, that he intended to publicize their presence-enough to entice the Behemoths into sending their own children and grandchildren to the Holy Covenant. If those truly are the children of the Cosmic Elder, then I don't mind indulging his little game for now."
"As for that Syndicate..." Morval tapped his fingers lightly against the armrest of his chair. "The galaxy that Robin Burton is hiding in Young Sector 99 is going to bring him no small amount of disaster. Had he simply allowed them to discover it at their own pace, his losses would not have exceeded one hundred billion pearls. And honestly-what is the worst that could have happened? He could have purchased a galaxy seed in another sector for far less than that sum and started over."
"There are people who place dignity above everything else," Timari said quietly, "people who draw red lines that cannot be crossed under any circumstance. I believe Nihari Galaxy is that red line for Lord Hu-" she paused and corrected herself, "-for Robin Burton." She fell silent for a brief moment. "If you had seen him when he ordered Theo to attack the Syndicate and purge six entire sectors of their presence, you would have been genuinely surprised."
She lowered her gaze. "Those eyes of his... he truly meant what he was saying. I could feel the weight of every single word he spoke." Then she looked back up at Morval. "I don't think his gifts to us are a sign of weakness. I believe they're his way of drawing closer to us after making an enemy of the Syndicate. And I certainly don't think he'll let those one hundred billion pearls vanish without
consequences."
"He would be completely mad if he believed we would support him against that Syndicate against that individual- simply because he happens to be a profitable merchant," Morval said, shaking his head. After a brief pause, he sighed and nodded toward Timari. "Give the green light to the four projects. Speak with your sisters and begin coordinating with the factories and the delivery networks. We need to prepare for the storm that's comin. As for me, I'll personally speak with your brothers who oversee the promotion division." "Understood." The girl rose to her feet and began walking toward the door with quick, fluid, almost swaying steps.
Then a voice called out from behind her. "Timari."
"Hm?" The faintly blond-haired girl paused and looked back.
"If, in the coming period, you find the pressure of managing Robin Burton's
affairs becoming too heavy," Morval continued, "you may relinquish responsibility for the other four Behemoths. Just inform me at least one decade in advance, so I can select four of your brothers and train them properly to shoulder that responsibility."
A faint smile appeared on his face. "Never in history has a first-rank daughter
focused her attention on a single client. Still, we wouldn't want Lord Human to grow displeased with us due to any failure in fulfilling his requests... would we?"
"I'll keep the offer in mind," Timari replied with a soft smile, before turning and continuing on her way out.
