Mid Sector 100 Planet KraithornStep... step... step...
A breathtakingly beautiful female entered a vast, expansive hall, her footsteps echoing softly as she swayed with every movement.
She swayed with a flawless, mesmerizing body, as though it had been crafted to silently instruct all females on how they ought to be. She swayed with her nine orange tails flowing behind her, each one blazing like a miniature sun in its own right, radiating warmth and authority. She swayed with one hand resting confidently on her waist, while the other waved forward and back with open arrogance, as if proclaiming that she alone was the woman of the universe, and that no other could possibly compare to her existence.
"Eleanor..." The figure seated upon the throne at the very center of the hall revealed a faint, controlled smile. "What brings you here today?"
"What is it?" Eleanor continued approaching him without slowing, then sent him a wink capable of toppling cities and shaking hearts. "Have you finally had enough of me?"
"Not yet." The man seated on the throne laughed softly... He was powerfully built, his physique unmistakably that of a seasoned ruler and warrior, clad in armor and a cloak even while seated upon his throne at the heart of his dominion. Fox-like ears rose from his head, and a single thick tail extended behind him, heavy with restrained power. "But it's not like you to show up outside the affinity-boosting sessions. Did you miss me?"
"Well, don't let it go to your head now, Your Imperial Majesty~" Eleanor stopped directly before the throne and crossed her arms. A trace of seriousness surfaced on her face, her playful aura dimming. "Something new has happened." "Oh?" The planetary emperor's expression shifted subtly, his amusement fading. "Is there news regarding the Savage Galaxy? They've been applying a great deal of pressure on us recently."
"Actually, no." Eleanor frowned and tilted her head slightly, her tails slowing their motion. "Why, by the way? I've heard about the increasingly frequent dealings between you lately. Is everything truly alright?"
"...I ruined things." The planetary emperor let out a long sigh, the weight of responsibility pressing down on him. "Our discussions about uncovering secrets attracted the attention of entities I never believed would ever turn their gaze toward us," he said quietly, then looked away. "The Beast Galaxy was one of them."
"The Savage Behemoth Galaxy is interested in the secret behind the one supporting the Cradle Empire? Why?!" Eleanor knitted her brows deeply. The Beast Behemoth Galaxy was unimaginably distant, far removed from the affairs unfolding here.
"I don't know for sure," the planetary emperor replied calmly, though his tone carried fatigue. "It seems they linked the supporter of the Cradle Empire to the supporter of the Grave Empire, and also to the supporter of Lord Hedrick. That is the only explanation I can find. They sent envoys with an extremely forceful tone, demanding information."
"Demanding?" Eleanor snapped, her voice sharp. "That's not how things are done here. Secrets are our trump card-the very thing that keeps us alive, that expands our influence and multiplies our profits. If even a fragment of them leaks to another party, the sky itself will collapse over our heads!" She forced a tense smile. "You refused them diplomatically, the same way we do with everyone else... right?"
"What did you do?!" Eleanor shouted, her composure finally breaking. "I did what was asked of me. Nothing more." The planetary emperor looked away, his gaze heavy. "The source of our blood and yours as well- comes entirely from the Savage Behemoth Garden. We are regarded as their official followers. It is already a miracle that they do not demand crushing annual tributes, and are instead satisfied with sending instructions every now and then."
"You handed over the secrets?!" Eleanor raised her voice, fury blazing. "You gave them up simply because you feel indebted to them? What have they ever done for us since the founding of the clans? They exploit us to impose an illusion of control over the sectors, all so the Savage Behemoth can boast that it commands the largest number of followers in the entire universe!!"
"Yes, I handed them over-but not because I'm indebted," the planetary emperor said as he let out a heavy sigh. "It's because they possess the keys to our beast blood, and they understand its nature far better than we ever could. With that knowledge, they can weaken us... or strengthen us... with terrifying ease." He paused briefly, then continued in a lower voice, "And I chose to stand on their good side rather than risk being crushed by them."
"...Did they at least grant you a new supply of Aurora Twilight Fox blood?" Eleanor asked after a moment of silence.
"Yes-enough to fill an entire lake," the planetary emperor replied with a satisfied smile. "It turns out they control a whole family of that lineage. On top of that, they even gave us ten vials taken from an Aurora Twilight Fox that has already stepped into the Law Domination Realm as well." He waved his hand casually. "Frankly, when faced with benefits like these, I no longer need anything from the scattered rodents around us. It's only a matter of time before we rise into a millennial great power, one that dominates the entire sector outright."
"...Did they give you anything at all for the Kyumaji race, at least?" Eleanor looked as though she had aged hundreds of years in an instant. "I was the original source of that information, after all. My followers were the ones who suffered the most because of the schism and the exposure of those secrets." "Hm..." the planetary emperor murmured after a short pause. "They advised me to take care of you."
Eleanor already knew that this would be the answer-yet hearing it still sent a dull ache through her chest.
"Anyway," the planetary emperor said, waving his hand dismissively, "I told them that Lord Human is the financier, and I didn't add a single word beyond that." He then turned his gaze aside, a broad, confident smile spreading across his
face. "We still have cards left to play."
"And what else do you think you have?" Eleanor showed a tired, defeated smile. "The name Robin Burton is already useless. There's nothing left except the bare truth that he possesses a galaxy seed and its location... and anyone who learns that Lord Human is behind all of this will naturally lose interest in the seed
itself."
Anyone who harbored ambitions toward a galaxy seed would first have to deal with Lord Human-and with the armies he supported through his obscene wealth and his endless stream of innovations. Just imagining such a confrontation was enough to send chills crawling down one's spine.
"What's the problem with that?" the planetary emperor shrugged nonchalantly. "We can simply use this information and sell it to those who still don't know
about Lord Human." He continued smoothly, "The Empire of the Seven Thrones is courting us for precisely the same reason. We told them there's a galaxy seed in the Young Sector -the very thing that fuels the Cradle Empire's rise- and they're currently preparing a massive payment to purchase the location." "They'll never manage to gather the required sum," Eleanor shook her head slowly.
"Hm? Is ten billion pearls really too much for a galaxy seed?" the planetary emperor said with a chuckle. "It doesn't matter even if they fail to collect it in the end." He waved his hand again. "The gifts we receive every few weeks alone, along with the enormous trade and defense agreements, already make this arrangement profitable for us." Leaning forward, his grin widened even further. "They even sent us an ancient defense array worth more than nine hundred million pearls to protect us from the Centennial Cradle Empire, Eleanor-haha! We don't even have that much money sitting in our vaults!"
"Don't celebrate too soon," Eleanor sighed deeply. "If the Savage Behemoth Galaxy leaks the fact that Lord Human is behind all of this, the hands of the Centennial Cradle Empire will come crashing down on us. Believe me-you do not want to witness an armada of Note-4 vessels encircling this planet... that would be an utterly disastrous situation."
"Let them try!" the planetary emperor declared as he spread his arms wide, his confidence bordering on madness.
