Chapter 1989 Academy Tour 1

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Sacred Covenant Academy-

"One..."

In one of the academy's many recreational corners, a space carefully designed for rest and mischief alike, three girls were lurking among bushes overflowing with thick, colorful blossoms, their petals swaying softly with the artificial breeze.

"Two..."

One of them in particular slowly crawled forward on all fours, her movements cautious and deliberate. She then lifted her hand and silently signaled to the other two to remain perfectly still. It was obvious-she was preparing something important, something she had clearly planned for a while.

"Three!!"

At that exact moment, the girl sprang up from between the bushes and leaped forward without hesitation.

Bluluu

At the same instant, a large bubble burst forth from the blue grass-a strange, semi-translucent bubble with a mouth, eyes, and even a small nose. Two gelatinous arms stretched outward as it expanded, yawning lazily as if it had been pulled straight from a deep, peaceful sleep.

The bubble's calm, however, lasted only a heartbeat. Baa! A teenage girl came crashing down right on top of it.

"Bluluuu, what's happening?!"

The bubble flailed wildly in every direction in pure panic, wobbling and bouncing, while the girl perched atop it desperately tried to steady and tame it.

"Heehee! You really did it this time, sister!"

"Don't let go so fast!!"

The two girls who had been hiding finally revealed themselves, stepping out from the bushes, each one visibly more delighted than the other as they laughed at the lively, chaotic scene unfolding before them.

Not far away-

"Are these really the offspring of the Cosmic Elder?"

Al:-skinned girl narrowed her eyes slightly, her brows knitting together as she observed the spectacle from a distance. "Was I truly pulled away from my academy-where I spent three entire centuries refining myself-and sent on a journey across multiple sectors... just to end up as classmates with these?!"

Standing beside her were at least twenty boys and girls, all of them similarly bewildered, their gazes wandering across the academy grounds in quiet disbelief.

There was no denying that the academy's atmosphere was magnificent, almost dreamlike-but that wasn't why they had come. They were here to befriend the children of the Cosmic Elder, or at least to stand among them. And yet... why did the Elder's children look more like carefree lunatics than inheritors of cosmic legacy?!

"Do not let appearances deceive you, our new enrollees."

The young man standing at the head of the group turned toward them, wearing a calm, reassuring smile. He was a member of the Student Union, tasked with

guiding the new students to their residences for the day.

"The three you see before you are genuine geniuses"

"...Really?"

The blue-skinned girl tilted her head slightly, clearly unconvinced.

A young man beside her frowned and spoke bluntly, "I don't see it."

"Then why don't we put that assumption to the test?"

The Student Union member kept smiling as he gestured toward the girl riding the bubble like a barely restrained wild horse.

"Tell me why do you think that young lady is able to ride the bubble at all?"

"What do you mean?" one of the new enrollees asked, raising a hand to shield his eyes for a clearer look. "Isn't it a special kind of bubble?"

"No," muttered another enrollee from the Behemoth Galaxy, his tone thoughtful. "It's just an ordinary water bubble formed from condensed dew droplets. One of the Life Path Minor laws seems to have leaked into it... for some unknown reason."

"Maybe it's reinforced with an external energy membrane?"

"That alone would already be incredibly difficult. No wonder she's being called

a genius."

The Student Union member shook his head lightly.

"Incorrect. There is no energy shell around the bubble-and none around the girl either. Try again."

"...?!"

Most of those present narrowed their eyes, each activating the detection methods they had mastered.

Every detection technique represented the absolute peak of what millennial empires and artificial galaxies could offer, for every individual here had arrived

by recommendation from a supreme power.

And yet... nothing surfaced. No fluctuations. No anomalies.

"Well," the blue-skinned girl finally sighed, "you've certainly caught our

attention."

She looked back at the girl riding the bubble, her tone softening slightly.

"What exactly are you using to ride it?"

Then she paused, watching the chaotic scene more carefully.

"Honestly... this looks a bit fun now."

"Since you asked so politely."

The young man's smile widened just a little.

Dealing with open-minded geniuses was far preferable to dealing with arrogant ignoramuses. Even if geniuses possessed a trace of pride, it could always be broken-as long as they were capable of admitting that there were still things

they did not know.

Then he gestured once more toward the girl and said calmly,

"Your classmate here is using the Law of Existential Weight. It is, on the surface,

a simple law, built upon a single core definition: an individual's value is not measured by their raw strength, nor by their rank, but by the degree of distortion and imbalance their very existence imposes upon reality. By employing this law, she can amplify or diminish the significance of her own existence-or that of another object. Through that manipulation alone, she is able to ride the bubble as if it were something solid."

"What a terrifying law..."

"A law like that really exists?!" the new students whispered, unease and fascination mixing in their voices.

The young man continued, his smile never fading, as he pointed toward the two sisters standing nearby.

"The elder sister over there uses the Law of Asymmetrical Symmetry, while the younger one beside her employs the Law of Forced Stability. Both of them have

already mastered their laws to the extent that riding the bubble poses no difficulty whatsoever."

He then turned his gaze back to the group, letting the words sink in before continuing.

"As for their older brother, he managed to ride that very same bubble seven

years ago by relying solely on the Law of Denial of Perfection. Since then, he has advanced even further and reached a significantly higher level of power." He clapped his hands once, the sound sharp and clear. "Now then-how many of you here could accomplish the same feat using only your law, without employing any form of external energy?"

"...I can't, personally."

"Neither can I. What is this level of control over laws? This is what the Sacred Covenant Academy is famous for, but this goes far beyond what I imagined." "Denial of Perfection... Forced Stability? These names are completely new to me, yet evey single one of them sounds ominous."

"They seem somewhat related to the Master Law of Balance, don't they? Or am

I mistaken?" "Wait-does the Master Law of Balance even have minor laws at all?!"

"Master laws aren't divided into major and minor branches," another student replied. "They are a single, absolute law within their respective path."

The blue-skinned girl's eyes gleamed as curiosity overtook her caution. She took a step forward.

"...I want to go ask them about the origin of those laws. I want to know where such concepts even come from."

The young man leading the group immediately raised his hand, blocking her

path with a gentle but firm motion.

"The three sisters do not appreciate being questioned about their power by just

anyone. Perhaps-if you become friends someday-you may be able to speak with them more freely."

"Just anyone?" the blue-skinned girl snapped, waving her hand in irritation. "Do

you even know who my father is?!"

For the first time, the young man's smile disappeared, if only for a brief

moment.

"A piece of advice," he said quietly. "This should be the last time you utter those words inside the Sacred Covenant Academy. Given the nature of its members, that phrase could bring you serious trouble..."

It wasn't only the blue-skinned girl-every one of the so-called geniuses

swallowed hard.

It was an unmistakable warning, yet one that made perfect sense. Beyond the

rumored children of the Cosmic Elder, the academy had begun attracting the offspring of countless great figures of the universe, and those standing here were living proof of that fact. Attempting to wield one's lineage or parental influence in this place was nothing more than a laughable mistake.

The young man waited a few moments, ensuring his words were fully understood, then clapped his hands once more.

"Alright then, let's not halt our tour here. I know you have many questions

about the children of the Cosmic Elder, but they are not here to entertain you. You yourselves are here to learn, to deepen your understanding, to gain experience, and to build proper relationships. That is what you should focus

on. Understood?"

"Understood!" several of them answered loudly, their voices echoing through the academy grounds.
