Mid Sector 250—
S????I????L????E????N????C????E
Qarun was seated upon his high throne behind the semicircular table, while nine of his disciples sat beside him upon separate thrones, all of them gathered in the same place and facing the broadcast before them.
Only seconds earlier, they had all received news of what was happening and hurriedly gathered together. Qarun himself had arrived with a broad, confident smile spread across his face, fully expecting to watch Robin embarrass himself live on air before the eyes of the universe.
After all, how could Robin possibly justify the presence of the plague on the planet? They were eating Space Beasts? That was easy enough to twist around; one could simply say that feeding them Space Beasts was merely another method Robin was using to strengthen the plague even further.
And how would he explain the Cosmic Elder’s death? Would he claim that the Cosmic Elder was actually still alive? Then prove it if you can!
Or perhaps he would claim that someone else had killed him? That would be even worse, because then everyone would become certain that the Cosmic Elder truly had been killed, while Robin himself would remain the obvious culprit behind his death.
Would he try to say that he wasn’t a Candidate of the Seer? All the evidence was already against him, and the accusation fit him from the hair on his head all the way down to the nails on his toes, leaving him almost no room whatsoever to justify himself.
This broadcast was destined to become an absolute joke, something that would only make Robin’s situation even worse before the entire universe...
Or so Qarun had thought.
"......."
At that moment, Qarun was simply staring blankly at the broadcast before him, his mouth hanging slightly open and his eyes widened to their absolute limits, while the nine disciples around him wore expressions that were almost identical to his own.
No one opened their mouth to utter even a single word, because none of them could find anything appropriate to say after what they had just heard...
Krssh The broadcast suddenly cut out for several seconds before returning again, yet even during those few seconds, not one person in the hall managed to change their expression.
He had done it...
That bastard had actually done it...
What Robin had essentially said was: You dare put me in a position where I have to defend myself? Fine, then go ahead and defend yourselves too!
You want to bring ruin onto my path and force me to deal with the consequences? Then I’ll ruin every one of your plans along with mine!
In a single move, he had knocked down every accusation that had been directed at him and pushed them away from the center of everyone’s attention...
Yet it wasn’t because he had actually answered any of them. Robin hadn’t defended himself against even a single accusation.
He had openly admitted that he was a Candidate, admitted that he controlled the imps, and hadn’t even denied the accusation that he had killed the Cosmic Elder.
Instead, he had swept all those accusations away from himself simply by placing a far greater catastrophe directly on the table before everyone.
A catastrophe that wouldn’t concern Robin alone, but would eventually affect everyone.
And now Qarun himself—the man who had promoted himself as the protector of the universe’s protectors and the Voice of Truth—would have to personally step forward and prove that everything Robin Burton had just revealed was nothing more than myths and fabricated nonsense!!
"...What a dirty move!!" Qarun gritted his teeth so hard that the words almost came out from between them.

Mid Sector 750—
"Hahahahaha!"
Sevar burst into loud laughter, his voice spreading throughout the Heaven-Avoidance Cave with enough force that the entire place began to tremble around him.
"These are the final blows to the sensitive areas, Qarun. You strike your opponent there, forcing him to strike you back in exactly the same place and with even greater ferocity than the blow you gave him." Then he slowly shook his head as his laughter subsided. "These tactics might work against every obstacle you’ve encountered throughout your path, but unfortunately for you... Robin Burton and I aren’t merely obstacles standing in your way. We’re Candidates just like you. All three of us were chosen by the exact same entity... Bringing down any one of us was never going to be that easy."
Then Sevar shook his head again, clearly understanding what Robin’s words had just changed. "Tsk, tsk~ The quiet period has finally come to an end, and now the era of playing everything out in the open is about to begin. There are still two full million years remaining before the end, and throughout that time we’ll have to deal with this generation, then the generation that follows it, and the one that follows that one as well, all of whom will have grown up knowing this truth."
Then, with all traces of amusement gradually leaving his face, Sevar looked upward with an expressionless gaze. "Now, even if Robin Burton dies, he’s already left something behind that will continue troubling us until the end of the cycle... From this moment onward, if any one of us makes any major move, people will immediately begin connecting it to the rumors surrounding the hundred-million-year mark, and once that happens, suspicion will begin to spread. Movements will start appearing to stop anything we attempt to do, whether we act openly before everyone or secretly behind their backs... Once doubt takes root in their minds and they begin digging through the past themselves, the matter will already be settled. From now on, we’ve become outsiders standing against locals."
After saying that, Sevar finally allowed another laugh to escape him, one filled with clear appreciation for what Robin had just accomplished. "Heh~ Well played."

Mid Sector 1—Tyrant Galaxy
BAAAAAAM
Intares sprang to his feet in uncontrollable fury and kicked the throne beside him with such tremendous force that the entire thing instantly shattered into countless fragments, scattering across the hall beneath the sheer violence of the blow.
"Peasant! That filthy local peasant!!" Intares gritted his teeth so violently that he could almost feel them beginning to crack beneath the pressure. "That worm who isn’t even worth the very air he breathes actually dared?!"
Antares’s eyes radiated seemingly boundless hatred and fury, his entire expression twisted by rage as even the legendary throne hall itself began to tremble around him beneath the force he was releasing.
There were certain things that no one should ever be allowed to know, matters that simply had to remain concealed from the public and known only to a certain class of people until the very end of time.
That was precisely why people like Athena and the Cosmic Elder had never said anything about such matters, even though individuals possessing their level of strength undoubtedly knew a thing or two about what would happen when the hundred-million-year boundary arrived, or at the very least knew about the endless beasts that existed beyond the shell.
They simply couldn’t say anything about it...
After all, what could ordinary people possibly do after learning information like this other than fall into panic and eventually destroy themselves with their own hands?
As someone standing at a sufficiently high position, there were only two paths before you: either you tried to stop that inevitable fate with your own hands, doing everything within your power to prevent it, or you tried to evade it somehow and emerge from the disaster while suffering the fewest possible losses.
And regardless of which of those two paths you chose, you would need peace and quiet to carry out your work without unnecessary disturbances.
Just like Athena, who had kept herself in isolation for seventy million years.
Or the Cosmic Elder, who just happened to have been gathering treasures while searching for a successor for himself since ancient times.
But to take something like this and openly announce it to the public...
"If I fall, I’ll drag everyone down with me, huh?" Intares began staring at the broadcast with madness burning openly within his eyes as he understood exactly what Robin had chosen to do. "No... I won’t allow everything we’ve been preparing for all this time to be ruined because of the whim of some child who only appeared yesterday."
Then Intares slowly raised his hand with a heavy motion and spoke in a voice carrying his anger, "Sons three hundred and fifty through two hundred, prepare to head toward Mid Sector 99 and strike Planet Donara. Soldier Sons sixty through thirty, you will go with them."
Those few simple orders were enough to send an earthquake through the entire Sector, immediately disturbing the stillness that had existed throughout Antares’s territory.
Every single one of those sons possessed at least one planetary arm somewhere within Antares’s three galaxies, and the moment each of them heard his number being called, he immediately rose and headed for his armor before making his way toward the known gathering point for departure.
Even the ten sons classified as Soldiers drew their weapons and departed from the heart of the galaxy, and the mere sight of those ten leaving together was enough to send chills down the spine.
"Drag me down with you? You’ve raised your head to a station that was never yours to occupy, and you’ve made a decision that was never yours to make." The fury burning within Antares’s eyes intensified even further as he continued staring forward. "I’ll erase you and everyone who followed you from the face of creation first, and after that, I’ll fix everything you’ve ruined... The Tyrant Intares never falls, even if the heavens themselves fall!"
