"Let’s hope so!" She glanced back at the room, then stepped inside. To Shadow One and Gray Wolf, who were keeping watch, she said, "You two go rest. I’ll keep watch here."

The two exchanged glances. "My lady, we’re not tired. Let us stay and guard him!" They paused, then added, "We’ll stand guard outside the room." With that, they stepped out on their own and positioned themselves at the doorway.

Seeing this, Feng Jiu said nothing more. She simply walked over and sat down beside the bed, gazing at the unconscious Mo Ze. Holding his hand, she murmured softly, "Ah Ze, please wake up soon! Perhaps influenced by the blue lotus energy, the black lotus on his chest seemed to hold its breath, remaining still and sealed, not a single trace of energy escaping.

Feng Jiu continued channeling the blue lotus energy until dusk fell, the sky darkening, before she finally stopped. Her forehead glistened with sweat from the excessive expenditure of the blue lotus energy.

She flipped her palm, retrieved a medicinal pill from her space, and swallowed it. Then, she checked Mo Ze’s pulse again. Feeling the strong, steady beat beneath her fingers, the corners of her lips lifted slightly.

That night, she fell asleep beside him. It wasn’t until the next morning, when the rising sun’s rays slanted through the window, that the two on the bed were found sleeping peacefully, nestled close together, a scene of warm tranquility.

Xuanyuan Mo Ze felt as though he had slept for an eternity. His eyelids felt heavy, and though he tried several times to lift them, he couldn’t manage it. Then, he sensed a tickling sensation on his face, as if strands of hair were brushing against him. It made him want to open his eyes to see, or lift his hand to brush the hair away.

His eyelashes fluttered lightly, like the vibration of a butterfly’s wings. Before long, eyes that hadn’t opened in years slowly came to life.

His consciousness gradually returned, especially the scenes from before he lost consciousness and plunged into darkness. The moment his eyes opened, they flooded back into his mind like a tidal wave, allowing him to recall everything swiftly.

He was still alive?

For a moment, his heart skipped a beat, as if he had remembered something. His hand moved slightly, clenching into a fist. The sensation from his palm, accompanied by a faint, weak strength, allowed him to find a familiar feeling within it.

Yes, he was still alive. Though he didn’t know why, he was still alive.

A faint smile touched his lips, his thin mouth curving upward. He tilted his head slightly and saw his beloved nestled beside him...
